@beluga25 Basim doesn’t try to kill Eivor during the campfire scene because he may not have fully realized that Eivor was Odin yet. Plus he needed Eivor to help get Sigurd from Fulke, and I get the idea that Basim may have thought Sigurd was Odin at first. Just my opinion.
Yes. Basim is “Loki.” Eivor doesn’t know about Basim being Loki because with the things that are said to Sigurd and Hytham afterwards, it looks like Eivor never fully understood that the visions were actually memories. Also my opinion.
Odin wanted wanted to kill the wolf Fenrir, because the Nornir have foretold that at ragnarok Fenrir would kill Odin. Odin thought he could escape his fate if Fenrir was dead already. That’s according to Norse legend.

@whocares78 Yes, that about sums it up. Between Basim who apparently remembers much of his past life as the Isu Loki, and Eivor, who doesn't remember anything about Odin and only has some weird visions, stands Sigurd, who has at least some real memories from his life as Tyr (like being able to read the Isu language, and knowing the location of Yggdrasil).
One must also take into account that the events in Asgard and Jotunheim are not what really happened. They are a Norse mythological reinterpretation (understandable to Eivor) of what actually happened to the Isu. (See the 'secret ending' after completing all the anomalies.)

@hroozenbeek Odin and the rest of them were actually a separate group of Isu known as the Æsir. A few of the jöttun in AC Valhalla were actually the Isu from previous games though, Hyrrokin is actually Juno, Suttungr is Saturn and Gunlodr is Minerva. Eivor just seen interpreted them as jöttun because of his Norse beliefs. The “mead” was also Eivor’s interpretation of Saturn and Minerva’s seventh method of escaping the coming catastrophe.

Wow, lot to digest here, thanks everyone (and I knew but had forgotten the part about the wolf/Ragnorak prediction so thanks for the memory jog on that one, lol)!
