Low resolution shadows during gameplay but not in photo mode.1 Likes/2 Replies/31 ViewsOriginal poster HuntingU2016 4 posts
Since launch I experience extremely low resolution shadow maps on Eivors character model during gameplay(stands out like a sore thumb especially when wearing your clock in direct sunlight) and when I open photo mode it automatically renders the shadows in higher quality.

If it's related to saving system resources why not just add this shadows settings as an experimental setting on it's own for future hardware?

@huntingu2016 Hey there! I apologize for the inconvenience or annoyance that may have been caused by this issue in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Thank you for including those screenshots from the game and your settings! Moving forward, please start by verifying the game's files in Ubisoft Connect. Doing so will replace any missing or corrupted files that could potentially be causing this, then ensure that everything else required for the game is installed correctly. Afterward, it would be beneficial to empty the cache of the client. This is a quick, simple process than can ultimately help to resolve various technical/performance problems. Finally, I would recommend completing the rest of our technical troubleshooting guide.
If you continue to experience this problem, please create a ticket at support.ubi.com to further report it to our technical team. Opening a case will allow for more detailed documentation in our system, which is helpful when the development team has to investigate bugs, glitches, and other in-game problems. They would be more than happy to continue working with you!
