I have completed the game. I'm now stuck in the "Breaking The Order" quest. I spoke with Aelfred and got the key to his library. Now, when I return to Ravensthorpe, I can't speak with anyone. I can't do any other quests either. It's like the whole game just ended.

I've read plenty of other people complaining about not being able to start the "The Poor Fellow-Soldier" mission, but my issue is a bit different. I've completed that quest. But now I can't go any further. I'm 160+ hours into this game and am now blocked from finishing things.

Is this a known issue? Will it be fixed in an upcoming patch?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@wiredsoxfan Did you go to the library ? If I remember correctly you collect one letter and give it to hytham and you can finish the quest after that.

I did not. I don't know where it is. There's no indicator like there usually is for an active quest. I'll find a video guide and try heading there. I just assumed the library would be marked. And Eivor even says "I should go talk to Hytham". I thought that was the next thing I needed to do.

    Thanks for the suggestion...

@wiredsoxfan the library is in the church where you met Alfred in Winchester.

That didn't really help. I'm able to get into the library just fine, but I'm still not able to go back and talk to Hytham. I can't talk to any characters at this point. I'm stuck and can't complete "Breaking The Order" and that means I can't get Thor's Cape (the reward for killing all The Order members).

I've traveled to Norway, changed Evior's appearance and even uninstalled the game. Same behavior. I have active quests, but when active I don't get the little indicator anywhere on my map and I can't talk to Hytham, Rhandvi or anyone else.

Hey WIRedSoxFan! Sorry to hear this issue has been a challenge to complete. Please make sure you have completed the Hamtunscire Arc, and all Order members except the last one have been taken out. Then, when Hytham has the medallions, he should move to the front of the longhouse to give you the next quest. Please keep us posted if you have any further issues with still completing this quest.
