    HOPE This Helps Everyone

    I too was struggling with Following Ivvar, I have found a FIX , after 2/3 hours of trying , heres what to do , go back to start of the mission where u meet Ivarr on mountain top

    Re START THE MISSION , raid all the doors / drawbridges , then you will get to The King Rhodri and Ivarr fight

    now when you are told to pick up King R , You load him on your / Eivor's horse he is slumped on the back , Ivarr will get on his horse , and you both gallop out of the Castle and Issue solved

    LOOKS Also like the Ivvar Cutscene has been Fixed too Wont let me post a pic , But King Killer Now COMPLETED :)Regards Fraze

    @frrrraaazzebear hello.our problem is before the caustow castle attack along the road to the castle the video doesn't start and Ivar freezes without moving or speaking if you have any suggestions? I have tried everything thanks

    hi everyone between yesterday and today I tried an experiment that cost me many hours I brought Ivar back to the point when he gets on the horse the "follow ivar" mission begins and as always nothing happens he does not get on the horse no writing appears "talk" nothing at all hours wasted. really this ends everything I could do ubisoft you can answer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey there @auditorello...,

    I'm sorry to read you can't proceed further during the quest King Killer, as you're supposed to follow Ivarr, but he won't move or talk. The investigation has been reopened following reports that this issue persists.

    I advise you to keep an eye on the forums for any news regarding this issue.

    @frrrraaazzebear thanks but that’s not helpful really I’ve completed that whole misssion already and spoiler I’ve completed 98% of the other DLCs and don’t want to start again. Unless there’s a ways I can restart that mission on its own

    Hello there,

    Thank you for continuing to update this thread with your experiences with "King Killer," as well as feedback regarding the ongoing investigations in this quest. The dedicated teams are still investigating this quest further, which is why there wasn't any fixes included in TU 1.5.0.

    We are checking in with the dedicated teams regularly regarding this quest, and we have forwarded the feedback that has been shared within this thread. Please note that the Player Support team is unable to speculate on when any resolutions will be available. As soon as we have any news to share from the ongoing investigations, we will let you know within this thread. Additionally, any updates will be published in patch notes made available in the News & Announcements forum prior to a Title Update going live.

    I'd like to provide you all with a reminder of the ongoing investigations into "King Killer," as well as the investigation status:

    • Ivarr doesn't move when prompted to "Follow Ivarr."
      • Status: Reopened (Additional videos welcome)
      • Comment: The investigation into this issue has been reopened following reports that players were still unable to "Follow Ivarr" after the release of TU 1.2.2. As soon as we have any updates to share from the investigation, we will let you know within this thread.
    • The cinematic at the end of the fight with Ivarr doesn't trigger, and Eivor is stuck in the arena.
      • Status: Under investigation
      • Comment: The development team are interested in collecting additional videos and the saves of affected players. Please ensure that you have an up-to-date save uploaded to the cloud. We can then notify the development team so they can take a closer look. In the meantime, we would recommend that you try reloading an earlier save from before the fight to see if this allows you to progress further.


    @izzyv91 - I understand that you are hoping for more updates from the investigation following the release of TU 1.5.0. We don't yet have any news to share from the investigation into this issue, and we would be unable to speculate on when any updates will be available. As soon as the dedicated teams provide us with new information, we will let you know within this thread.

     I've been stuck on this mission the whole game. I cant go any further until I finish the alliance map. It won't let me finish the quest with randvi. I've tried everything and I do not want to delete the game and start over. I have over 200 hours into this game. You all need to actually fix this problem.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble during "King Killer." Can you please specify which issue you've encountered whilst progressing through this quest? Are you unable to follow Ivarr, or have you become stuck in the arena? This will help us to forward your report to the right investigation.

    @ubi-borealis are you guys just doing a copy and paste with your replies?! This is unreal. I’ve lost all faith in Ubisoft and the AC team.

    As compensation I want to know who We can talk to about getting dawn of Ragnarok for free.


    ALSO your technical team have managed to fix another cutscene issue in the Siege of Paris DLC (https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/121212/resolved-sop-unable-to-progress-in-majesty-in-the-dark-as-the-cutscene-does-not-play-in-the-tavern-post-here?suggested=true&lang=en-US) in 5 months or so from the last report of it and it’s taken you 18months to get NOWHERE on this MAIN STORY one?!

    Is there a way for me to got back and restart this mission without losing all the DLC progress I’ve made so far?

    I'm sorry to hear that you feel our responses are copied and pasted. Please be assured that we do our best to address any questions or concerns that have been made within a thread. We haven't had any new information to share from the investigation into this quest, which may be why some of our responses sound similar. As soon as we do have any updates regarding "King Killer," we will let you know within this thread as soon as we're able to.

    Please note that any compensation offered would be the decision of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla team, and that the Player Support team has no influence over this. If any compensation is to be offered to players, then this information will be shared on our official platforms or via in-game notifications.

    The Player Support team is also not directly involved in the development process, so we would be unable to speculate on why some investigations may take more time than others. If you're interested in learning more about the development pipeline, and how updates are created, then I recommend that you check out this Dev Blog. The article provides more insight into an update timeline and fix developments.

    The only way to currently restart this quest would be to load up an earlier save file, as there is no "restart / reset quest" feature in-game. I understand that this may not be the workaround you were looking for, as you don't want to lose your progress, and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

    Once there are any updates to share from the investigations into "King Killer," then we will be sure to post them within this thread as soon as we're able to.

    its not just me that “feels this way”. It’s probably hundreds of players. Hundred of hours lost lots of money used in energy to play.

    18 or so months down the line and still nothing Disappointed really In the dev team for fixing other main questions issues very similar to this but not this one…..If I start that specific quest again, will all my DLC progress be lost too? And will I keep all the skill points and inventory etc?

    I can see that my colleague @Ubi-Borealis explained that you can use the earlier save file and in this case your DLC progress and the skill points will be lost too because you will be rolling back.

    Almost 1 1/2 years after release and also after creating this thread to this bug in a MAIN STORY and it isn't still fixed. I still DON'T KNOW how the continuation of this main story is because I can't play it.

    I really still don't understand how is it possible that a bug in a main story isn't still fixed! And I haven't any understanding about this ridiculous fail. This is still a no go!

    I'm playing another game because I can't play the main story which is the only one in this whole game which I can't play!

    I haven't any older save files and it isn't also MY FAULT that you haven't still fix this ridiculous bug!! You haven't also a feature that I can restart this mission so I have the chance that this bug will disappear. But you won't also do this! You don't give these players any chance to solve this problem.

    Did you do a patch to this bug? No!
    Did you have a feature to restart a mission? No!
    Do you really expect that I have to play the whole game again? No guarantee that this bug won't appear again?

    I have already played this game for extremely many hours. I did all side quests and many other things. And you haven't the respect to fix this bug in a MAIN STORY?!

    You've got many materials: video clips, streams, save datas, pictures, descriptions. And you aren't still able to fix this after almost 1 1/2 years?!

    Read this again: A BUG IS STILL EXISTING IN A MAIN STORY ALMOST FOR 1 1/2 YEARS!! This is ashaming!


    There will be a new patch on 19th April and May 2022 and I'm 99 % sure this bug will still not be fixed!

    Please understand my anger that I'm really tired of your "Please rest assured that our specialists are looking into this and we will be in touch as soon as we have any updates from the development team.." because the development team will NEVER give an update. I don't think this bug will ever solved so this bug will exist FOREVER.

    I'm really tired and angry...
