I don't think any one of you actually knows a damn thing about Norse culture or the history it played in the past. Norse culture itself looked at Christianity as if it WERE a joke, weak God, weak people. Where their religion was based on Gods of War and strife. Ubisoft did a damn fine job on showing the hatred between the Norse and Christians and things said by the Vikings, while they may be offensive to YOU, are historically accurate. Don't try to change how history really went because someone says something you don't agree with or find offensive, that's the point, to get you offended. So to answer your points I shall do so as you listed.

1.) Never knew that, but will look into it, seems interesting, maybe they are telling us the Templar aren't men and women of God but of Satan?
2.) Monks say the darndest things when you least expect it, just because they are monks does not mean they cannot have slips of the tongue.
    3.) Refer to answer 1.
4.) Eh.. could be a modeling error but it looks accurate enough to me.
5.) How far do some Men of the cloth fall from their faith... it happens.
6.) This game isn't about the viewpoint of being a Christian. You are a VIKING and you experience the story through a Vikings eyes and life. Get over it.
7.) Those would be offerings from others that did not give a proper offering to the Altar, simply left them there in hope it would appease the Gods.
8.) No it doesn't, it's historically accurate, stop getting triggered over stuff that is fact. Grow a spine and play the game, or stop playing it entirely if you can't stomach what reality was.

With sincerity, I ask that you not be so triggered about how Norse and Christians were towards one another in the past. It's a video game with some accurate representations of how things went. If you can't understand that, don't play the game. It's called Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, not Assassin's Creed: Body of Christ. You see things through Eivors eyes and life, not the other way around. I'm sure they will touch base at some point on Christians going against the Templar and give you their side of the story and why they were fighting against The Order of Ancient Ones, but for now, you get what you get.

Final suggestion: Good idea, but do you really believe they would do that for ONE video game when it could be two entirely different games in different timelines? Think about it, they could make the next game during the Anglo Saxon Wars against the Vikings where they were driven out by the Christians, thus giving you their side of the story. Besides, Eivor was found in North America, not in England where we leave off with her... how she got to North America is still unexplained. They have more to tell in this story and I am greatly looking forward to it. But if they put one more stupid [censored] Cairn puzzle in this game with janky weight physics and controller schemes like they did this game. Someone at Ubisoft is getting a fist.

@x_azrael245_x "accurated" is the least of the things that ubisoft do.. u are blind if you really thing that ubisoft isnt doing a mockery on christians in this game.. im not talking about what the vikings says but what they are doing, like the churches windows being upside-down crosses and all the stuff named by the dude who made this post... also about eivor being found in america, more likely one of the many inaccuracities of ubisoft... AC games are fantasy games. who use some real life characters names.. but the story in in it is mostly fantasy..... and like i say... imagine if they do the same to the religion of where the assassins come from.. hypocrisy at it finest

btw, lets not forget about how the victims (who are christians...) are being antagonized here... i dont see why u get so offended by a post of someone making valid points that are IN GAME.. not made up stuff. but real things that are in game...

@x_azrael245_x btw this kids friendly "vikings" arent real vikings.. just some manchilds playing war

@decahertz during the time the game is set it, the christian church already began to be mostly about power and politics, which only grew worse in later medieval times. That considered it really does not have much to do with real Christianity. There are however characters in the game who are portrait very respectfully in their christian faith and even the coexisting of pagan and christian beliefs are highlighted in many cases. They really wouldn't have to do that.
Concerning upside down crosses (which I didn't notice in the game): Their satanic meaning is a modern interpretation. Inverted crosses are actually crosses of Saint Peter who insisted of being crucified upside down since he felt unworthy of dying like Jesus did. So during medieval times, those are not a mockery at all.

There is a lot of positive portrayal of christian faith in the game, just not necessarily connected to the church. It's more connected to some characters.
And really, vikings raiding monasteries should scream a lot worse things than what they do in the game... and they should also slaughter any civilian they come across because they really didn't care. The raiding part is already pretty dimmed down, and I guess they did that because it's harder to connect to a character who kills harmless people.
In a way some might argue that the portrayal of norse beliefs is lacking as well and not very respectful and accurate...

Yeah i couldn't agree more lets only look at how many people have died of having another religion then others in the past 2000 years ... millions upon millions.

@patricia81994 well atheist killed millions tooo, just ask the soviet union about that, religion has nothing to do with war, the wars back a days where for the same reason as nowadays war, just to get more power and ofcourse wealth.. anything hasnt changed, is just that u live in a place where problems are non existance anymore, so people has to make their own problems to feel more relatable to the rest of the world... thats the "first world" for you... where people just assume stuff and has no clue of the actual crisis in the rest of the world... but the fall of these people is soon to come

@patricia81994 also it looks very hypocrite from europeans to wimp against religion, when the reason why all your nations are very wealth and "progressive" is because of the conquerer and massacre of the colonies that all their people has touch, "in the name" of their God....

imagine living in a place where there isnt any kind of problem and people still whining about stuff that happens centuries agos, and being angry at it... first world problems ofcourse

@patricia81994 well, religion is just the excuse, is just like nowadays wars.. to "bring" democracy.. but the actual reason behind it is other.. same with war about religious believes, is just the excuse they used back a day to start a war sinces back a days religion was a valid reason for it, nowadays religion has almost no power, so they make other excuses for that.. like "democracy"

this is my last post here, sinces i dont want to keep arguing about this stuff anymore

@gameguru2018 I don't know if it originated as anti-communist propaganda, but nowadays is a popular Christian apologetics argument against atheism; a counter to the proven claim that religion has caused the deaths of millions. It's been thoroughly debunked, yet apologists continue to use it, because like-minded people want to believe it is true.

The OP is more evidence of the persecution syndrome many Christians suffer from. And oftentimes, they are not even aware of the history of their religion. For example, the upside down crosses the OP complains about. Now, I have not noticed any upside down cross in the game, but if there are, given the time period, they'd be representations of the Cross of St. Peter (or Petrine cross); the OP is obviously is not aware of this cross, or what it means.

Go to youtube and find the one about the can of Monster. It's a deucy. 😇

I'm not really going to address everything here, but I am going to suggest that either you did not finish the primary quests/epilogue or you were so busy being offended you forgot to frame that offense properly and target the correct persons.

Who is the 'Poor soldier of Christ'? What are their aims? What is their mechanism for achieving their aims?

A simple reading of Matthew, chapters five through seven, should tell you what it is to be a Christian and to follow Christ. This is repeated in Luke chapter six, verses 17 to 49.

Perhaps these things you noticed, are hints and suggestions for the clever to pick up on the identity of the 'Poor fellow soldier of Christ'?

OP, you want me to drop a tear?! Really?!
It just compensates the anti-pagan sentiments, persecutions, tortures, murders and genocides created by the Christians during the last 2000 years.
As a pagan myself I think it's good to have FINALLY a pagan vision of that cultural cancer they called "christianity". Simply a pity itäs in a crappy game like valhalla.
    A true bunch of criminals.

@gameguru2018 i did name the soviets, because during their time they killed an estimated of around 20 to 60 millions people (more then hittler), i never stated the fact that they persecuted christians.. im not christian, but also im not one of those kids that love to scream how much atheist and how much they "hate" god they are (lol), anyways

im here, because i also notice the stuff the dude on the post says... there is an obvious agenda going on at ubisoft... well, anyways, the ones affected about it are others not me, so what ever happens, lets wish is for the good, and not for some cultural destruction, like the abrahamics religions are commonly know to do... i want to say more, but this forum is not the place to do a rant about some stuff i have notices are happening in europe and some other places.... wish u luck

@gameguru2018 there are 3 side of an story, your side, my side and the TRUTH... so we will never know what is real, u claiming all the proof im saying is anti soviet propaganda, is like me saying all your proof is communist propaganda... we will never know the real truth sadly.. im only writting to you the facts u can instantly get by searching for it on google, may be a lie, but is what it is.. i wasnt alive on those times, so the only proof i can give you is by others who are writting history based on their points of views and believes..

if you repeat a lie, over and over again, it eventually becomes THE TRUTH

a quote from some random man, i dont remember his name

If you noticed what the OP noticed and you think there is an "agenda", you should probably read up a bit on Christianity around that time.
