  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello there!

As we have had no further reports of this issue persisting in-game following the release of TU 1.2.2, we will now be locking this thread.

If you encounter any further trouble during "The First Night of Samhain," please don't hesitate to open up a new thread so we can take a closer look. When opening a new thread, please include as much information about the issue you're encountering as possible. Any images or videos that demonstrate the issue in-game are also helpful for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊

    Hello,

I am currently on the "Night of Samhain" Quest on Xbox One and started with the first part of the quest to Trick or Treat around Gunnar's house. However, I cannot knock on any of the doors as it always says "Locked. No one home." Gunnar has disappeared from the area and, despite the tab saying 'knock', I cannot progress through the story.

I know the section is bugged because of video walkthroughs I have seen. I hope this gets fixed quickly as it prevents any progress on the main story. Please help me with this bug as it has brought my progress to a stand-still and I have tried all traditional routes of troubleshooting this.

I'm not sure what happened, but I have tried this a hundred ways. Basically, I was able to find Gunnar by checking the web, because it gave no location and the raven wouldn't show an area. I talk to Gunnar, and he says to follow, but he never moves. I went away, pledged a new territory, completed it, and then came back. I've tried all three different dialogue options, nothing. The mission wont progress and Gunnar wont move. I've reloaded saves, and I'm at wits end. I refuse to start a new game, so hopefully someone else has a suggestion, because I cant do anything until this mission works.

@storedturnip678 Be glad you are not. Avoid the glitch at the end of this arc.

@storedturnip678 the game is broken, i've seen post for similar bugs in almost every quest, i myself can't finish In the absence of Ealdorman. So they need to do some serious fixing in this game, and the new 1.04 patch does nothnig.

@storedturnip678 if you mean the mission where you go “trick or treating” then you need to go in your inventory, equip any of your own cloaks (won’t show because of the “costume” you’re wearing) and put the hood up as if you’re hiding. This fixed it for me at that point, I was playing on ps4 I hope that maybe helps?

    V 1.04
Tried reloading save, restarting console, nothing works.
As soon as I start the door-knocking part of the quest, in costume, every door in the town comes up with Eivor saying "Locked, no one's home." I can see people in the house, and it's every single home in the village that is like this. Please help

Same issue here. Xbox One. I've restarted the game and console 5 times and it still says locked no one's home.

@prometheus7321 I have the exact same issue on my PS4 pal version, tried all three options and nothing, the raven doesn't appear. It doesn't matter if I'll do another mission, quick travel or whatever. Currently done all story missions on the pledge map but that region. I'm really mad and I don't want to restart my game, I'm at level 290 right now...

@storedturnip678 The exact same happens to me, I'm playing on PS4, I'd done all story quests until that point except that one, I'm at level 290 and obviously don't want to restart a new game. Hope they'll fix it asap.

I find Gunnar in Glowecestrescire (the raven doesn't work in that part) tried all 3 dialogue options but he nor his new gf move and so I'm unnable to continue with the main story quest (all other available quests done, :(). 80 hours in, level 290. PS4. I'm so sad... I'll do all the looting/syncing missions but please fix it asap...

The Night of Samhain mission in Glowecestrescire doesn't start, I can talk to Gunnar and choose any of the 3 dialogue options but nothing happen next and therefore I'm unnable to progress in the story after 80 hours and level 290.... 😞 (PS4)
