UNSOLVED who the canonical bearer of the spear was according to a text in the game?0 Likes/5 Replies/37 ViewsOriginal poster darknessviking 4 posts
so im playing the game and you are in the real world, and in a document on the computer, it says cassandra was the bearer, but i played as alexios. why is that text in the game? is it some person in the development team that on purpose put it there to make cassandra the bearer or is it just a blunder?
i played as alexios for 100+ hours, and he was the bearer the whole time?

My understanding is that Kasssandra was considered "canon" for Odyssey.

Why is that text in the game?
Because Kass is the canon protagonist. Alexios was an afterthought.
I noticed that on Layla's computer yesterday. You can't worry about stuff like that. Video games are full of filler text and bad writing.
What I hate more about this game is that they Americanized the hell out of it. In past AC games Ubisoft would have many references to Canada on Layla's computer, but now they pander to the Yankees. Big American flag flying on a cabin in the woods of New England. Digging up Viking corpses in the USA, which is completely ridiculous since there is no well-founded proof that the Vikings ever settled there.
The Vikings settled on the northern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. And they did so only briefly. There is no evidence of Norse settlements anywhere else on mainland North America, so it's absurd that we are digging up bodies in New England and shipping up to Boston.
It'll be interesting to see how they write their next game. The next one will likely take place in Asia, and they'll find a way to plant the American flag right in the middle of it all.
Anything to boost western sales.

i'd like an african game, myself. jungle. and other places, savannah. I hate animal fights though but the setting is very cool imo.
this one was great tho, loved it. previous one also, perfect games. got no complaints. but before that, nah.. never played those games, doesn't interest me. Very very happy the turns that ubisoft has taken with the new installations of ac. it makes them games i am interested in playing. surely there's much much more to develop in this department, however. and ya, things sure not perfect... climbing into windows is a science in itself, for example.. but canon... heh, yea; ok...
