Enemy AI seems to stop attacking after attacked. This is more apparent with snakes but also happens with all other enemies. Some of the others including soldiers, bandits, and animals like wolves and bears. Below is three clips of what I encounter with snakes, but the same can be applied to other enemies just not as frequently.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@gladi8ordude Yeah the AI is really bad this time around. Sometimes when I attack human enemies they literally only step backwards while I fight their mates, sometimes they go so far they end up leaving combat mode. Like they're basically just abandoning their fellow soldiers. Makes no sense. And there's the ones who just stand still. Doubt Ubisoft will fix any of this honestly.

Yes, I see this way more often than non-attackers. I like to think they gave up their life of violence and are still moonwalking into the sunset.

One of the first things I noticed when this game was released.

If you had played Odyssey and Origins then you'd really notice how bad snakes are in Valhalla.

In previous games I was afraid of the snakes because if you weren't careful they could kill you very quickly.

In this game it's impossible to be killed by snakes. They are completely useless.

Enemies back away constantly here, even if I’m not attacking them in a group only 2 or 3 enemies will engage and the rest will slowly back away forever even if I don’t fight but just dodge. So I know it’s not the enemies being frightened from finishers ability (which hardly ever procs).

I really hoped that with higher difficulty levels more enemies would attack at once…
