In river raids I should be able to press R and my crew to sing a song. But currently this is not workin. Is this a known issue? Thank you.
Not OP, but I have the same problem and it's annoying when you're sailing long distances where it would be nice to have some music. I made a video recorded yesterday, but it's literally just me sailing on the rivers. I comment to tell you that I'm pressing the right button. Problem persists both for keyboard and controller, I'm on PC btw. But songs play just fine outside of river raids.

Can you please confirm if you're using custom controls by any chance? If so, can you please try changing them to default? Additionally, we have a megathread for this issue here, where we will communicate updates from the development team.

@ubi-mark I've changed them to default and the issue still persists. I think I had only customed the control stick speed (I mostly play on controller but using keyboard also doesn't work). It's working fine outside river raids, and also did before resetting controls, so very specifikt to river raids.
Has anyone ever been able to play a song on a boat in river raids?

i always thought it's intentional there's no song on river raid..
so i guess the problem occurs when we're using custom control?
edited: i tried to set my control as default, and still can't play a song
I'm playing on PS5, Asia region + Japanese Voice

@sorenssorensen @maxiusagi very interesting how support kindly asks you to provide videos and to confirm contorls since there were no songs at river raid game mode at all.
On my own i can get it was designed like that because when in England longship comes close to raid location eivor askes to be quite and there's a red alarm line in the middle top of the screen. In river raids game mode this red bar all the time which means that longhip is in location of close enemies, so we should be quite. And whole big map is that location.
So maybe the problem in this line and alarm awaring of close enemies overal whole map and not when lonship comes close to raid location?
Next, RR1 released in February, this topic was in May. Now its September and RR2. In summer there were couple patches, some with hidden changes in RR game mode. So from February to August there are 5 month. Nearly half a year. And support just askes to confirm contols. Really? Are you kidding?)

Thanks for sharing your reports with us. I'd like to assure you both that the development team are looking into why you're unable to request songs during River Raids, despite having the apparent ability to do so on your command bar.
My colleague @Ubi-Mark was interested in knowing if the issue could have been caused by having custom controls, as we did previously have an issue wherein some custom control commands weren't recognised in-game. If it was due to custom controls, this information could be useful for the ongoing investigation. We are now aware that you are unable to request songs no matter if you have default or custom controls.
We don't yet have any updates to share with you all from the investigation into this issue. I'd recommend keeping an eye out within the News & Announcements forum regarding any future updates.

I just played again today. And it's still not working.
