A friend of mine did some testing yesterday on Valhalla using different tools, and he managed to test the hard caps of different stats in the game, like xp, silver, skills, resources ...
I thought it might interest some of you.
Here are his findings:
- SILVER : the hard cap here is 9,999,999. But as it is possible to buy Books of Knowledge with silver, I doubt it's that relevant.
- RESOURCES : all resources (leather, iron, ...) have also a hard cap of 9,999,999. When you reach that value the game simply stop collecting the resource. On animals though you still loot the fangs, horns and other teeth as usual (but no more leather)
- SKILLS : all passive skills are capped to 1000. You can have 1000 is Wolf mastery, 1000 in Crow mastery, 1000 in Bear mastery. When all the skills are maxed the bonus on Eivor's stats (damage, health, crit% ...) are roughly +15%.
Have a nice weekend all!
@garbo3 You can still do it for the fun, but at the end itäs not "that" bad in fact as masteries have cross effects. For instance damage is increased by two masteries, health is also affected by two masteries. It's at the end a bonus of roughly 30% which is not negligible. But it requires to heavily invest in them, and by heavily I mean hundreds of points for starting seeing the difference.
Masteries are a long run process: if we consider that a random player with an average playtime/day manage to do 2 masteries / day (one by killing stuff, the other by buying a book of knowledge), it will take him 3000/2 = 1500 days = more than 4 years for maxing the three masteries ^^
(same than in Odyssey btw, if you want to max all passive skills)

Very interesting about the mastery points! At least now I don't feel so bad about not distributing them.
