    As you can see on the screenshot, cloud saves are still being created even though the settings in ubisoft connect states that its turned off.
    And its also verified as false in the settings.yml file inside the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher

    It's been a huge problem since Day One (actually since the rebranding of Uplay to UbiConnect).

    Valhalla keeps uploading saves in the cloud even when the global setting is disabled, and it's been regularly observed that cloud saves are the number one cause of crashes in the game. Of course the culprit is not really cloud saving, it's the whole Valhalla online service which is completely shaky (corrupted cloud saves, non-working community screenshots, buggy Reyda quests, crashing festivals, etc).

    Yes, I noticed this too. I disabled cloud saves in the launcher because I noticed it'll freeze my game if my connection is being heavily used elsewhere. But my game still cloud saves as if I hadn't changed anything. I looked for a setting in the game itself and couldn't find anything. I gave up.

    Just wanted to ask if anyone knows a workaround? Can we edit the settings file?

    The settingsfile has the same options as the client does.
    In settings.yml this is the value for me: "syncsavegames: false"

    I suppose there could be one option that is outside the client or settings file. To basically block the ip adresses that is being used for cloud saves.
    I currently do not know which ip adress it has and this option could make the game even more unstable.

    Ah, I see. I think I misunderstood at first. I guess I wont mess with it. In terms of instability, the last thing the game needs is outside help. ty! 😊
