    I looted everything ..!
the desire would be to restart the story, but I am very reluctant to give up my gameplay style ..!

I have more than 700 opals (but there is but nothing I like XD) I would give up all the money and metals in inventory (poor people have more fun, rich viking is boring ..!)

what exactly happens if i decide to start a new game? Do I lose all my skill and gear?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    ----

    Yes.

    You lose everything.

Opals are across-saves. You keep those.

but you can't even save two games? old match. new game (and take them back at will depending on how I like?)

Yes you can ( unless there is some glitch that prevents you ) you can have 2 different manual saves with 2 different games.

@dj0rdje12 @katzenkrimis71 I have three different games going atm, one for each gender choice option. Unfortunately you cannot name the saves, which would make it much easier to keep track of which goes with which character, playstyle, or play through. I also feel it is best to keep the number of manual saves (you can have up to 20) low so you don't lose track of which is which. I only have three manual saves and when I turn off the game I update the specific manual save for the character (female, male, Animus Choice) I am playing on that day.

I've often thought about it: the map of england is so well done, both technically and artistically: that could easily set up a new story by completely reusing it, rather than necessarily deciding to re-make another map from scratch for future expansions .. if ever there will be any

this trick, they also did it in sekiro: you found yourself in the same map, in a different era, so you see the degradation of the years, with the eyes of those who had already been there before ..!

@caosck They did this with Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn. The story for New Dawn begins about 20ish years after the end of Far Cry 5. They re-used about 1/2ish of the map. Some locations were familiar but changed enough to give the impression of the passage of time while other locations were completely new. The animals in New Dawn were also familiar but different to align with the story (trying not to spoil anything if someone hasn't played either game).

I tried to load an old save file to check how many missions I had done, (but I had already finished the story)
    I erased it,
i continued to play normally, but since then, ubisoft connect can't sync valhalla saves anymore!

@jcar4327 Just a thought, but first game is saves 1-5, 2nd game is saves 6-10. ETC. With one game I always save on oldest save point. Wouldn't work well for multiple saves but odd/even would work just fine for two games.........Hmmmmmmm......maybe.

@caosck I'm not really sure what the issue is causing that. I'm on Xbox and haven't had any issues with saves other than once. I played for a few hours and then noticed I had been smacked with the glitch where the saves were messed up. Had to play that time over, but really no other major issues. I do know that on Xbox there was a time where if you did not log off the game before shutting down that when you came back then the game would not sync properly with the servers.

@bill_265 Yeah, there are probably many ways one could choose to keep track of there games and which saves are related to which. For me, I just found keeping it to the three worked best. This was the same back on Odyssey and I know there were several posts asking for the option to name saves, but that unfortunately, never became a reality. Hopefully, future installments will return the option to name saves. I know having that option would make it so much easier than the current options we have been given.

    Hello @caosck,

    Thanks for reaching out!

If you decide to start a new adventure, you will lose all of your progress, gear, materials (except Opals, as they're linked to your account).

However, I would advise creating a new manual save, so you can always come back to your previous one if you'd like! 🙂

If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

@ubi-mark I tried to load an old save file to check how many missions I had done, (but I had already finished the story) (now it's about 176 hours of gameplay, the save was about 140-150)
    I erased it,
i continued to play normally, but since then, ubisoft connect can't sync valhalla saves anymore!

I tried to delete the saves to my pc to see if it restored them from the cloud,
but the strange thing is that in a few seconds it leaves me the message unable to synchronize ..

    UbiSoft assistance advised me:
    uncheck Ubi connect cloud saves
play 10 minutes to allow you to make automatic save savers
    quit the game,
put the tick back on cloud saves
load the game, and choose "LOCAL" saves

but it didn't work, in 1 second it tells me that it is impossible to synchronize (strange thing as I remember valhalla, with my connection it took at least 15-20 seconds ..!)

my only problem with starting over was keeping the equipment I like the most, luckily for me I had a dwarf ax (my favorite) bought with opals, which immediately moved into the new game! it was enough to get to the skill that allows me to hold two axes with two hands ..! (I love the light shield dwarven ax combo)
