Since the Wrath of the Druids update, I've been having somewhat intense white flashes on my screen during cutscenes. I thought this was an Nvidia issue and after updating my drivers it did seem to go away for a day, but then came back. I never had this problem prior to the update, and I have 100+ hours in this game. It seems to be a new bug introduced by the DLC, but I don't know if its on the game or on Nvidia.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@linkfire111 EDIT: The screen flashing goes away when depth of field is completely turned off. It seems that that is what's causing the issue. I really don't want to have to turn that off, though, so any help would be appreciated in fixing this (if it isn't an Nvidia problem). It's worth noting that this is still a new problem: I had depth of field on high since launch and never had any problems before, and I've had no spec changes since then.

    Hello again @Linkfire111!

I'm sorry to hear you're encountering these white flashes during cutscenes. Thanks for letting us know how you've been able to get these to stop. I understand that turning off depth of field may not be a convenient workaround. To help the team to take a closer look at this, would you be able to send us a video that shows these flashes happening in-game?

Could you also let us know your PC specs? In particular, can you let us know more about your CPU/GPU cards? This information will be helpful for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊
