Sorry if this has been asked. I did search. What is the yellow diamond above a certain guards head in trade posts? Does it mean anything? They don't seem to have anything special to loot.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Wealth.

If you kill that guard and loot him, it will contribute to your wealth meter in that territory.

@markaccus In AC Syndicate enemies with diamonds over there heads were scouts and would whistle for re-enforcements if they spotted you. In Wrath of the Druids the guards/druids seem to act the same way, if they spot you they whistle for nearby enemies to attack you.

Side note: I do wish they were like AC Unity enemy leaders, you kill them which frightens off nearby enemies.

@katzenkrimis71 Those are gold dots, not diamonds.

@gayngel2019 I would have to agree. I have WotD complete 100% (wealth, mysteries, artifacts) and I still see enemies with yellow diamonds. Not sure myself what they are.

@markaccus Some of the yellow diamond enemies are ones with animal companions and they whistle to call the animal. They have a wolfhound or boar with them and their names over their heads are things like "Wolfhound Master" or "Boar Druid". There is also a "Master at Arms" with no animal companion. They are mentioned in the codex.
