So having taken a break from the game for like 4 months I came back yesterday wanted to play the game.
To my surprise, my game keeps crashing all the time. This was not the case 4 months ago.

While running around doing a quest, I needed to Find Folke in the Curch I crashed 3 times.
The game freezes and quits with a report error button.
The 4 time I got past the area I was playing and was fighting some enemies after several cutscenes had played (there were no cut scenes in the first 3 crashes).
Again the same, the game freezes and closes with a report error button.

Between the 3 and 4 crash, I had updated my Nvidia drivers, thinking It could have something to do with drivers.
    Sadly I did not help.
I cannot recreate the problems since it happens just by playing the game, not doing anything specific.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello @Samiri,

Sorry to hear that your game keeps crashing.

It's good to know that you updated your drivers, as sometimes the driver that is installed incorrectly might cause some issues (for example crashes). In this case, I would suggest going through all of the steps listed in this article. This will help you to eliminate any potential software conflicts.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know!

Hey! I had these crashes happen randomly whenever the game got a patch and every time I think I found a solution they release an update and crashes come back again.
Now I have the game working, no crashes even in long play (3hours+) sessions. These are the things I did:
    - If you have any kind of overclocking or monitoring program open (msi afterburner, evga precision x, etc..), close them.
    - Go to your nvidia control panel, click on Help and click on Debug mode.
    - Launch the game

If this doesn't help, I can write down what worked in previous patches.
    Good luck!
