Hello @plaidknight127, sorry to hear you are encountering this issue with this world quest, however, the team has been made aware of this issue and is currently investigating this. To provide further information for them, could you confirm if your latest save is currently uploaded to the Cloud ( You will see a small cloud icon on your save that will let you know)? This will allow our game team to view your save file for their research.

I apologise for the delayed response. I'm glad to hear that @Steven94NL's workaround has helped you to complete this world event! Thanks for sharing this with us.

If you have been affected by this issue with Aswig's disappearance and haven't been able to try the workaround, you can learn about it below:

First, travel to the world event location using your longship. Next, meditate a couple of times (three seems to be the magic number). Fast travel to Colcestre then back to your longship. Aswig should now appear.

If Aswig is still missing after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to update us within this thread so we can include your report in the ongoing investigation. Please ensure that you have an up-to-date save file uploaded to the Cloud as well. You can check this by looking for a cloud icon on your most recent save file.
