So I’ve had this Mōdraniht tattoo bug since the April patch, where every time I would load a game (start menu or in game pause menu) or visit ubisoft connect or collect opal, these 4 tattoos would re-unlock in my inventory, along with the just fixed message of “bonus content unlocked.” Now I never mentioned anything, because I assumed the problems were connected since I always had that message with the tattoos, and thought this too would be fixed with today’s fix for the message, however the tattoo problem still stays.

I know it’s also because of the tattoos being from the godly reward set, and whatever fix the team implemented in April’s patch for those who couldn’t get the reward properly (because there was a problem with that too when it launched) caused this for me and whoever else since then.

Again just imagine that for the videos, before this patch it said “bonus content unlocked” then always hit with these tattoos, and now it’s just the tattoos. It doesn’t break the tattoo shop or anything, usually I just leave them in the inventory bag and they don’t reappear they just stay, but if I drop tattoos off at Tove and she’s collects the “new designs,” the tattoos are just gone until the next save that triggers it. It’s unfortunate I didn’t mention it and it’ll have to be another month, but hopefully you guys can fix this one like the message 🙏🏼

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Hello there!

I apologise for the double post. The development team have confirmed that they deployed a fix for the duplicate Mōdraniht tattoos in TU 1.3.1. This issue should now be resolved!

If the Mōdraniht tattoos are still added to your inventory after handing them in to Tove, please don't hesitate to share an update within this thread. Please include a video which shows the following:

    • You have the latest Title Update installed on your platform. You can view this in the bottom right-hand corner of the main game menu.
    • You are receiving duplicate tattoos in-game.

I'd recommend uploading the video to a sharing platform, such as YouTube or Google Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread.

    Thanks! 😊

I also have this issue. It is better than the annoying message that always appeared but still pretty amateurish from Ubisoft.

This shows me how proper they test theor updates. Did really nobody see that they fixed the "Bonus Content Unlocked" message but not the tattoo set always reappearing? It was clear that the message also was linked to those tattoos and many in this forum said that but still they just fixed just one issue. Great that they fixed the more annoying one but still this paints a pretty bad picture on their "improved" testing which took 7 weeks instead of 4.

I also just leave them in my inventory which i never look into because the UI is terrible and I never find what I search for. It is filled with runes without any sorting or stacking and just badly designed from the core.

All in all I can live with this issue but we still have a long, long way to got until this game reaches a proper version 1.0 and leaves the beta status.

Ooof, I thought I was the only one with this, not too good to see it’s already been reported 😂 thanks for posting though!

I do totally agree though, it’s an interesting game to say the least when its patches have you more afraid of what could be broken then stoked on what’s gonna be fixed/added. 😶

Yeah same, this is minor but very irritating regardless.

Well it appears there’s another surprise bug, as I looked in my bow inventory and out of nowhere suddenly have the magyar bow. Now this is without even building the hunters hut or talking to the hunters, so how did this bow just appear if it’s the reward? It didn’t even give me a notification it was just snuck it and I found it just a little bit ago playing.

I’m not gonna make a separate post unless asked, because this a bug that was supposedly fixed a few patches ago when the majority of players had duplicates, yet re-bugged just now? Anyone else suddenly have the magyar bow without cause? This is pretty crazy that even old bugs supposedly fixed can reappear out of nowhere, on top of any new ones not even attached to new content. I’m obviously no developer so sincere question here, but if more things are breaking patch to patch then say Odyssey or Origins, wouldn’t going back to a shorter patch cycle be better in the long run for overall bugs? I’m not saying 2 week cycles but maybe just back to what it was, because if this 5-? week just produces bugs on bugs on bugs, and just kills player morale overall, is it even helping the dev team? (Again no sarcasm here just genuine sincerity)

I have also experienced the Mōdraniht tattoo bug since the April patch. I thought the most recent update had fixed it, but apparently not. The tattoos keep reappearing in my inventory. Very annoying. I am playing on PS4, so doesn't appear to be console specific.

    Hello there!

I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering trouble with the Mōdraniht Tattoo set. I understand that you're all repeatedly receiving the tattoos into your inventory, but without the "Bonus Content" pop-up that would appear previously. Is that correct?

Thanks so much for those videos, @HIDDEN1NE, and for such a detailed report on what actions trigger the tattoos to be re-added to your inventory. I'll pass these along to the development team and reopen the investigation into this issue.

If you haven't already, would you be able to start a new thread about the Magyar bow? We can then investigate this issue separately, and prevent us from going off-topic within this thread about the Mōdraniht Tattoo set.

    Thanks! 😊

@ubi-borealis I believe it's a bug related to Animus store as a whole, whatever items are assigned to your account, the game tries to add them to inventory from time to time

The "Bonus Content Unlocked" visual bug may have disappeared, but I still keep receiving the Mōdraniht tattoo schemes and it notifies me that it is in my inventory even after I use them in the tattoo changing menu. This was never a problem for me until Ubisoft decided to give it all away for free for all players in the Ostara festival even though I actually earned them earlier in the Yule event. Please fix this as it is incredibly annoying.

Thanks for continuing to share your reports about the Mōdraniht being re-added to your inventory following TU 1.2.2. I've shared your reports with the development team, who are currently investigating this issue further. Once we have any new updates to share with you all, they will be posted within this thread or within the News & Announcements forum.

    Thank you 😊

I’m on a Xbox Series X and this happens to me. It regularly happens after “unloading” the tattoos from my inventory to the tattoo artist. If I save and then load my game up, the tattoos then reappear again popping up on screen and readded to my inventory. This is a follow-on bug to the “bonus content unlocked” visual bug.
