    Still. No. Fix.


    I doubt it will ever be fixed. The support will hopefully end by the end of the year so we won't to have to play ever again this terrible messy game.

    Hi @MattRicc2 I'm sorry that the issue that you are experiencing with 'A Challenge From the Gods' has not been resolved with today's update.

    They are aware of the impact this issue is having for the affected players such as yourself and are working hard on a fix. Unfortunately this particular issue has not been something that can be fixed easily which is why it is taking sometime. I can assure you that the development team is doing all that they can to resolve this.

    As a gamer myself I do sympathise with you and fully understand your frustration.

    Once we have more information for you we will update this thread.

    Hi Vikings!

    I'd like to reach out to you all with an update. The development team have confirmed that this issue wherein players were unable to progress in the quest 'A Challenge From the Gods' after the first cutscene should be resolved with the release of Title Update 1.6.2 which is available now. You can read the full patch notes here.

    If you are still experience this issue after installing the new update then please don't hesitate to share an update within this thread so we can notify the development team. When sharing a new report, please can you provide us with the a video which shows the following:

    • You have the latest Title Update installed on your platform. You can check this in the main menu screen.
    • That you are unable to progress in the quest 'A Challenge from the Gods' after the first cutscene.


    I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread. 

    Can you also ensure that your latest save is uploaded to the cloud. If you are unsure how to do this there is a support article that you can check here.

    I knew that this problem had been resolved, but it didn't work at all.
    During this quest, only the phrase "Complete the main story" appears, and it does not interact with the old woman.
    I checked the game files 10 times, but nothing changed, I can't complete the challenge, and I can't get the weapon.

    @qscv1212 Hi there, sorry to hear you're running into this issue! What version of the game do you have installed? You can see the patch notes for your version on the main menu when you first open the game.

    I also recommend running through our basic PC troubleshooting if you haven't already.

    if yes, I would be curious to know how you did, because a PS5 player have the same issue (in the French Ubi Forum)

    After completing Snotinghamscire Alliance I cannot continue in the main story. I am power 339 and have completed Asgard and A gift from the otherworld. I have also completed the following alliances: Grantebridgescire, Lunden, Jorvik, and Vinland. Please help! I enjoy playing this game, but what can I do to continue the main story? I have the quest "A Challenge from the Gods" however I cannot track that mission.

    Hey @Pr0tekter, thanks for reaching out! Just to check, did you already speak to Hildiran and then watch the following cutscene? If so, can you provide me with a screenshot showing your patch version? This should be visible in the lower corner of the main menu.

    Hi @Pr0tekter I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to progress in the main story or start the quest 'A Challenge from the Gods'. Have you encountered any crashes since completing the Snotinghamscire arc?

    Could you please provide a video to demonstrate these issues. In the video we would need to see the following:

    • Your quest log screen
    • Your completed quests (slowly scrolling from the top to the bottom)
    • Your alliance map showing which regions you have completed
    • That you are unable to interact with Hildiran in the quest 'A Challenge from the Gods'
