Whenever you stop moving in combat while locked onto an enemy while you are also wielding a two-handed weapon (Greatsword, Dane Axe, and Spear), Eivor jitters around and shuffles a little bit. It looks really buggy and awkward. It does not happen when you dual-wield two two-handed weapons or when you use one-handed weapons (Bearded Axe, Dagger, Hammer, Flail, Sickles, and both shield types). The bug seems to be tied to using two-handed weapons by themselves. I believe the bug may have been caused by the previous update, 1.2.2, as I did not see it before then, and I use two-handed weapons frequently.

Here is a video showing what I mean. 0:00-0:20 to see the bug on Greatswords, 0:20-0:46 to see the bug on Spears, and 0:46-1:14 to see the bug on Dane Axes.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I found out that the bug also occurs when unequip both weapons in each hand, and fight with your fists.

    Here's a clip showing it.

    Hello there @SkywardSoul!

Thanks for taking the time to submit such a detailed report, and to include videos showing the issue occuring for several weapons. I can see what you mean, in regards to the little shuffle Eivor does when targeting an enemy. It looks almost like they're repositioning.

I've passed these along to the development team so they can take a closer look at this. If we require any additional information about this issue, we will reach out within this thread.

I'd recommend keeping an eye out within the News & Announcements forum for more information regarding future updates.

    Thanks! 😊
