Hello there @RussianEscort! Welcome to the forums 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble when progressing in "War in the North." Thank you for taking the time to share your report with us. I'd like to assure you that the development team are investigating this issue further, and I've shared your report with them as part of the ongoing investigation. We don't yet have any updates to share with you all. As soon as we have any new information to share regarding this issue with "War in the North," we will let you know within the News & Announcements forum. You are also welcome to reach out to us at any time if you have any further questions or concerns.

In the meantime, have you been able to try any of the workarounds that have been suggested within this thread? My colleague @Ubi-Keo has provided one in his post below:

    • Go to the location where the cut scene should play and wait for a couple of minutes to see if the cutscene triggers, if not then fast travel to Ravensthorpe
    • Then change Eivor's gender (Access the Animus in the inventory screen)
    • Go to sleep in Eivor's room in Ravensthorpe
    • Go back to the quest location and try again to see if the cut scene triggers

If these steps are successful for you, please don't hesitate to update us within this thread!

    Thanks! 😊

@sideswipe-1984 @tattooedtool @Wysockin Thanks for the update, I'm pleased to hear that you were able to progress in the quest.

@UbingMitta @DarkkSituAzn @AM0EBAS @HeloTech @TheMadTitan87 @Skim_Bro @mmmBomB Hi all, it appears that a few other players in this thread have managed to progress in this quest. Can you please try the following if you haven't already done so and confirm if it works:

    • Go to the location where the cut scene should play and wait for a couple of minutes to see if the cutscene triggers, if not then fast travel to Ravensthorpe
    • Then change Eivor's gender (Access the Animus in the inventory screen)
    • Go to sleep in Eivor's room in Ravensthorpe
    • Go back to the quest location and try again to see if the cut scene triggers

I understand that this is not an ideal workaround, however it may help you to progress past the quest then you can change Eivor's gender back to normal. I can also inform the development team who are investigating if this workaround works for everyone affected by this issue.

I was having the same issue the cutscene wouldn't work and I tried this ^ and it finally worked 😁. It didn't work right away I had to wait a few seconds and then the cutscene started.

Same issue today for me, fixed it by load the game before regrouping with Faravid, quicktravel home, go to sleep, change the gender of Eivor and then quicktravel back to him, had to wait a few seconds, pressing random buttons (especially the Bumbers/Triggers)

Had the same bug, reloading save or waiting for a cutscene didn't work. Fixed it by fast traveling to Ravensthorpe, sleeping in Eivor's bed, then fast traveling back. Didn't change gender. Then waited 10-20 seconds for the cutscene to start and it did this time. Yay. No transgender Eivor operations necessary.

I am now also experiencing this bug. Clocked in over 110 hours so far and haven’t had one problem up until now. The exact same thing is happening to me as others have reported.

I experienced this glitch today. Fast traveling to Ravensthorp, sleeping, and fast traveling back to the Anlaf's Lookout fixed it for me. Walked up and the cut scene triggered almost immediately
