Does anyone know how to figure out if the crash is due to memory leak or driver issue?

The crash that happens in the game is completely random. I am on PC. So far, I haven't been able to pin down what is causing it.

As a community, Ubisoft, can you please point us to a log into which we should look into for the crashes?

@ubistorm I don't believe there were any errors. She will know better. The only part is the save file was not there.

But we do get time to time, some 0x0000 error code, "trouble reaching ubisoft server " any idea why did that happen?

My wife played last night and this evening said she could not find her save file. Very frustrating to have lost 4 hours of gameplay.

Could ubisoft tell me why is this case? The forums and reddit is littered with save issue.

I have this game in PC, we never encountered any problem with the save file but it crashed a crap ton.

On Xbox, it doesn't crash but you loose progress?

I got to reduce crashes on mine by doing the following - from every 10 to 20 mins to crashes to happen rarely - at least for the past 10 hours I have played since last time posting of encountering crashes every 10 to 30 minutes. My system spec - ryzen 5 1600 paired with 5700 XT

1. Uninstall Logitech software [might not be the problem]
2. Update & factory reset AMD Radeon Software
3. Disable Windows Defender [this might be the problem]
4. If using multi monitor setup - force single monitor to use

Also, running the game at high resolution might give problem. I haven't tried but if you are getting too much crashes, try to tone res to 1080p if it helps.

EventViewer Thanks. I will take a look. So you are having problem on Nvidia and I am on AMD 5700 XT. This has to mean the problem is to do with the game and not driver.

Can confirm the crashes still exist. Running on 5700 XT on latest update as per date of this post.

Ostara festival really upped the number of crashes I am having. I have submitted report to AMD bug report but I have yet to hear back from them.

I got the latest patch last night and this bug I can confirm still exist as pointed out in other places and these threads that came up

Trygve stands and does not move. I have destroyed the two boats by the canal and mediated, did not do anything. Nudging one of the boat is tricky because it keep getting wrecked by the longboat. Only of the boat computer control boat reached.

Any fix or official word on this?
