I honestly don't know why when ever something new comes out there are calls to nerf it. Are some so insecure they can't cope with the fact that others may close the gap and be able to do missions they previously couldn't? It's a game folks.
At the moment I would rate the difficulty levels like this out of 10:
0 = Story
2= Normal
3 = Hard
4 = Challenging
6 = Heroic
10 = Legendary
How about they change them to:
0 = Story
2 = Normal
4 = Hard
6 = Challenging
8 = Heroic
10 = Legendary
There is way too much difference IMO between Heroic and Legendary, I can run through Heroic on console without breaking stride but get melted quickly on Legendary. Keep Legendary where it is but make Heroic and the others harder, just my 2 cents worth.
@noxious81 I have got exotic gear that I never had before, for example the Chatterbox, I got the pieces of the Chatterbox and crafted it, then opened some of the caches I got prior to doing this and got a Chatterbox. I thought you couldn't get the Chatterbox from a cache until you have crafted one already?
I also opened 4 caches in an area where backpacks were targetted loot, got a Memento, 2 x Acosta's and a Liberty pistol. Didn't have a Memento prior to this.
Not saying this works all the time or its not just luck/coincidence but it worked for me.
Have been waiting for this as I only need a pair of Hunters Faith classified gloves to complete that set, I love sniping, RNG is being a pain though, I have gotten so far this Global Event:
Backpacks x 5
Holsters x 3
Masks & Kneepads x 2
Vests x 1
Gloves x 0
Have a few days to go so fingers crossed I will get them, I look at it this way the longer I go without getting them the more chance I have to get them, forever the optimist.
I love experimenting with different builds, a PVE one I really enjoy is my Badger Tuff build, it's a tanky build with lots of armor regen but still does plenty of damage. No trouble doing Heroic missions solo, the Safety Distance SMG shoots with laser precision. I'm practically un-killable.
Technician Specialization
Chest : Badger Tuff with Perfectly Unbreakable
Mask : System Corruption
BackPack : Memento
Gloves : Badger Tuff
Holster : Badger Tuff
Kneepads : System Corruption
Weapons:
Safety Distance SMG - Perfect Outsider. After killing an enemy, gain 125% optimal range and 125% accuracy for 10 seconds.
The Mop Shotgun
Alernate weapons: Scorpio or Sweet Dreams Shotguns.
1.7m Armor with over 25% (higher when using The Mop) armor on kill, 60% CHC and 121% CHD, Turret and Striker Drone skills.
Just playing The Tombs mission because Heartbreaker is targeted loot, and killed rogue agents in the Morgue, can't advance, same bug as everyone else is reporting, tried it again and there were no rogue agents, killed the hostiles and then couldn't continue either, nothing being done?
@ellac90 I used to find Heroic too hard, but now it's fairly easy for me to complete Heroic missions solo, just depends on your gear and play style. Now I find Legendary way too hard solo but a lot of people do, it's horses for courses, people complained that Heroic was far too easy so the devs created Legendary, some say that's too easy now. You just can't please everyone.
If I had to rate difficulty on a scale of 1 - 10:
Story = 1
Hard = 2
Challenging = 4
Heroic = 8
Legendary = 16
The players I despise the most are the ones who complain about other players all the time.
I wish it worked like that in PVE, maybe then I could do Legendary solo.
My son gave me a PS4 a while back and I started playing the Division, and now the Division 2, being a fairly average player, and nearly 70yo, I have experimented with different builds. I came up with this one and don't really know how it works so well but I can literally run through Heroic missions with directives so easily with it, it amazes me how well it works. So if you're an average player and can't even manage Heroic missions without dying and having to restart all the time read on. I have tried ND, HF, and many other builds but this one works the best for me.
Mask = Badger Tuff - Blue
Backpack = Memento
Chest = Badger Tuff with Perfectly Unbreakable and changed to Red.
Gloves = Petrov Defense Contractors Gloves with 8% damage to armor
Holster = Badger Tuff - Blue
Kneepads = Prov Defense
Weapon 1 = The Pestilence - 99k dmg, 38% CHC 103% CHD, 110% HS
Weapon 2 = Classic M1A Rifle with In Sync - 417k dmg, 45% CHC, 118% CHD, 105% HS or The Mop with In Sync
Skill 1 = Striker Drone
Skill 2 = Assault Turret
Technician Specialization, 1.3m Armor, 4 Red, 3 Blue, 2 Yellow
Badger Tuff gives 5% Armor and 10% Armor on Kill, Unbreakable restores all Armor once a minute if needed.
I've always said that once you die you die, why should players in groups be able to revive one another when no one revives you when you play solo. You can play Legendary in a group and get killed time after time and still complete the mission, solo no chance?
All through the game you get better weapons so you can take on harder missions, then when it comes to Legendary you can only get the better weapons once you complete it.
In other words the weapon that makes it easier is only given to you when you complete it without it?
Found a fix for Memento not working or taking a lot more trophies than it should. Save your build, then load another build, then reload your Memento build, then remove Memento and replace it with another backpack, then replace Memento and save your build again. It should work properly now, it's a wonder that Ubisoft don't tell us this in the release notes.
It regularly logs me out, even though I have the "remember me" box checked. It's the only site that does it. Sometimes it happens several times in a row.
Clearly you've never fought rouge agents.
If we could get an AI team mate that had all the skills of a rogue agent I would go for it, how many skills do these guys have, seems like everyone at once.
With your Memento you will always get the skill tier so you're only re-rolling weapon damage and armor, if you can get even one of these max or near max then optimize the other one, or you may get lucky and get both near max. I have had good luck with re-rolling, and most times I get much better than what I started with, although I don't bother unless the stats on something are really bad.
And consider this if you have 12.8 and the max is 15, its only another 2.2% which is nothing to worry about IMHO. I would only bother if you have plenty of exotic components.
What would be wrong with, for example, adding two new difficulty levels? One that closes the gap between heroic and legendary – and another one above legendary, to finally again pose a real challenge for all the hardcore players?
Sounds good to me, no one could honestly say there isn't a huge gap between Heroic and Legendary and it would satisfy the Cylon's who say Legendary isn't hard enough.
@oatiecrumble That's what I thought, I see people on those Youtube videos and hear people on here saying that they race through Legendary, when I can use the same build and don't seem to do near the damage or have near the aim they do. Maybe the devs need to lower all difficulties for console players. I would seriously think of playing it on PC for that reason if not for all the crashing that's been reported. Thanks for replying.
I tried using demolisher firefly and am mystified how it works. If I use blinder firefly I aim at the targets it locks on and gives those little dots confirming it has then I let go of the button and it goes from target to target blinding them. If I do the same with the demolisher firefly, sometimes it locks onto to one enemy, sometimes it won't lock on at all, I tried it on, chungas, warhounds and mini tanks and it won't lock onto those most of the time for some reason, then when the button is released it just zooms of and explodes in mid air.
Is there some trick to get it to work properly?
@angrypandanr1 I think a lot are missing my point that they should adjust the gaps between difficulty levels, when leveling up there is not a lot of difference between normal and hard, a small jump to challenging, then a bigger jump to heroic then this HUGE jump to legendary. Saying it again, leave legendary where it is, but make the jumps to get there smaller, so people can get better.
Also, anyone here play legendary on console or have played on PC and console to judge the difference?
