The step "Follow Wulfhilda to Brisleah" she should be walking over to the altar but she doesn't. She did the dialogue to tell me to find the guy upstairs, but the quest didn't continue to the next step. And I can't interact with the guy upstairs.
Rebooting doesn't work and even trying to load an older autosave didn't help.
So basically this quest line is a dead line for me....
Any suggestions?
@killer4snake09 In my case it's right in the middle of the church right? I've continued playing the game and encountered another NPC (I'm avoiding spoilers in this post) that lept through the air for no reason and got stuck in the "falling" animation. Which bugged out the quest once again. Luckely there was an autosave close/far enough to undo this mockery and the NPC didn't make the same mistake twice. So it seems it isn't bound at all to a single quest, it's litarally any NPC that can be bodylocked which screws up the quest progress
I finished the fight against the "boss" won't spoil... he's dead on the ground, but his lifebar is still there and I'm still locked in his arena, can't fast travel or anything so guess I'll stay here for ever now?
@awilemxn I'm not an expert but those settings should not influence quest progress, at best they would lead to the game crashing if the PC can't handle it, freeze or extreme slow frame rates. I tried it nontheless and at least it doesn't cure the broken questline. It might save future encounters of the same kind of issue, but not putting my money on it. Thanks for the hint though!
This to me seems like a clear issue in programming logic, since the NPC's code has reached its end for the dialogue, but not for its movement/questline progression.
@riphide You are a hero, throwing corpses does indeed fix the issue! After 2 weeks the solution comes from a random player rather than Ubisoft themselves that still didn't address it! Thanks!

@maxoverload97
Same thing here for the drunkness and haven't found a workaround either.

Concerning the key, can't remember but enough guides on the net to point you in the right direction without spoilers
@mushroomstampn Yup, I had the same thing as @guest-VeFA0suF except that for me, just like you, all autosaves seemed to have "changed" into the same point. So there was no way for me to reload an older save. Even worse, the manual save from the day before (I would have lost +-8 hours of progress but fukkit) had the same "save content" as the latest one, so even that one spawned me at the church with the bugged npc again. So... not even a way for me to return. Can't say it gets better... not yet at least.
@drenzin1 Yeh I think I bugged it out in the exact same way. But this should never be allowed to happen, either you prevent players from getting loot (desync if to far) or fix your NPC. The further issue I had was that due to picking up multiple loots the "quicksaves" were all past the point where she bugged out since for some reason every single seperate loot counts as something to quicksave for and there's only like 4 quicksave slots? So basically reloading didn't work at all
@bartholomeu2020 My bad, misread his sentence I understood that he didn't find 5 of them Yet another failed quest implementation then.
@awilemxn Based on this post: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/79589/assassins-creed-valhalla-unwelcome-stuck-in-place/2 the fix you suggested mostly affects you as a player being stuck in place. Not NPC/Quest related progression.
@kultowy97 Did you go on top of the waterfall? There are like, really alot up there, if you use your interaction-vision they are marked in blue / blue pulsing circles.

@eliott8bit Yeh, I've encountered the same issue already 3 times now, the one mentioned above which I didn't manage to fix (due to quick saves that were acting out weird). But the two others luckily I did.
Keeping it spoiler free there's an encounter in your vision where you have to give chase to an enemy. He randomly chose to jump from a little border (really not high) got stuck in fall animation and was unable to interact with it any further. Every NPC that should spawn along the way did and came running back to where the enemy was hanging in the air, all just watching.
And lastly and thats the worst one of all. In the same vision there's an "end boss" which traps you into an arena you can't exit. When giving the final blow the killing animation went off, the body dropped dead but the lifebar stayed (although the name was gone) and no further events happened, I was just stuck within that arena (out of which you can't teleport either ofcourse. I was very lucky for saving my game before the fight and resuming from there, otherwise I wouldn't even want to imagine the 26 hours playtime lost
