Same here and I'm really disappointed. Running the game at 4k with HD textures expecting a beautiful game, but some textures are not only 'not' HD, but they're Playstation 1 bad! What the hell Ubisoft, how can something like this leave testing?!
Examples are the first body armor you find, the alligator, the first backpack with the rockets you get.
Hi there everyone,
I have been gathering all of the details from affected players and constructing a report which has now been submitted to the game team. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share screenshots and details of system specs.
I can see that some players have reported that this is only happening with the HD texture pack, but also a few players who are having this issue with the base game textures too.
If you do happen to have the HD texture pack installed and running, please feel free to disable it for the time being.
Once more information on this issue becomes available, details will be shared via the News and Updates section of the forum.
Apologies for any frustration this has caused. Please reach out if you notice any changes in the nature of the issue, or have further questions.
Thank you!
So why is this not even in the Known Issues list? It's one of the posts with most replies, alot of people are having this issue, it should be a top priority.
Also have this problem. RTX 3080, Intel i9, 32gb RAM so it's not my system.
Yes, same here, please fix this asap. Some textures are not loading and it looks horrible.

Do you have FIidelityFX Super Resolution on? and if yes with what settings? On, Ultra Quality. But I've tried both on and off and there's no difference.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with the HD Texture Pack (HDTP) itself, like it's target filenames are wrong or something similar.
I get ~6gb/9gb VRAM usage in the game's settings with HDTP turned on, so it's not like my 5.5k€ computer can't handle it. But some textures are not loading at all, for example the EMP and Poison backpacks you can buy from Juan. When I look at them in the shop, they have no texture at all loading, but the flame backpack do, and it looks great.
Turning off HDTP they all look good, with textures loading, but not as good as with the HDTP (when it works).
So yeah, the problem is not on the players' ends, it's your HD Texture Pack that's errenous.

I think it's comical that they have an 11gb "requirement" for HD textures since most people who have bought the current-gen GPUs have the 3080 with 10gb VRAM. It's as if they purposely set the minimum at just 1gb higher than that.
-"Oh, so you're missing 1gb of VRAM? Here, have these potato Playstation 2 textures instead."
-"But I'm fine with lower performance, and editing the settings myself if I can have HD textures.."
-"Suck it, that's not how we do it at Ubisoft."
I mean, which other game does this? Tell me 'cause I want to know..

I know that's not 11GB VRAM, but seriously, you made a game with a HD texture pack that this computer cannot run? I get a constant 75+ fps in 4k with this, but still the textures come out as [censored] because your code says so? Also, in the game's video settings it says I only use 7/10GB of VRAM with the HD Texture Pack enabled, so what gives? You need to look into this and optimize it better, imo. Thanks.
^This. It's what we all want.

does not save as on after re launching the game after every freaking crash
After crashing? Lol, it doesn't even save after quitting normally! I have to re-enable it everytime I start the game..
