The bug also happens in reverse. If you move the lame man first, the blind man will not follow you after talking to him.

for those not managing to trigger the glitch to go through the shelves, keep sprint & forward pressed at all time, then use, release and use immediately. It may take you a couple of tries.

From what I can tell, the movable crate spawns INSIDE the static boxes on the right.
