Hello !
We're working on an item pack, and we wanted to provide server owners the item pack.
That way, maps would be smaller and servers owners + client would need to have the items in their items collection.
Anyway, the problem is that if you try to play a map that is validated but above the 4Mb limit (so the items are not embedded into the map), the server cannot find the map.
Server error is the following:
[2022/03/22 17:58:19] Starting server...
[2022/03/22 17:58:19] ...ERROR: No maps in the playlist match the server settings.
This error should not occur, in my opinion, since the server have the items in the Items folder.
If the client doesn't have the items, it would just be ugly or unplayable.
If the client and server have the items, then there should not be any problem.
This feature/bug fix alone would be a huuuuge thing!
Thanks for reading!
Hello !
Since the latest big update, I started to randomly get an error message telling me that I'm disconnected from Ubisoft Connect (Error Code: A-AA-01-08).
First time it happened was on 29th of september 2022 at around 19:24 right in the middle of the COTD. I obviously had a stable connection and nothing wrong happened except that when I left the server, it brought me back into Trackmania² menu leftovers.
Second time it happened was during a stream, I was playing a long RPG map, and it happened mid-run. My run wasn't saved on Nadeo's servers (sadly, because I'd love to see my name up there after more than 4h of run).

I have a stable fiber connection and I don't know why I'm randomly disconnected. It usually happens when computer is brought back from sleep mode, which is not the case when I'm currently playing the game.
Thanks.
Hi !
Wanted to vent/give feedback on the new UI/UX update (31/03/2022):
First things first, the main menu:
I like it, I like the simplicity, but I dislike the poor use of space. What I mean by that is that we now have 2 buttons less.
We lost "Solo", "Live" and "Multi". Technically that's 3, but we now have "Play" instead.
What I dislike with this is that the user now have to do 1 more click to navigate through the menus.
To go on online servers before I had to:
Live > Arcade > (navigate list)
Now it's:
Play > Live > Arcade > (navigate list)
There is something that we learn while building website and that thing is: the fewer clicks the user have to do, the better it is. = less click to go where I want is better.
Anyway.
I talked about poor use of space in the main menu because we have 2 buttons that are (imo) not important:
First, the "Store" button. It may be temporary for something in the future, but for now, as a Club user, I just don't care about it.
Secondly, the TMGL button: Why ? Why is it so big ? It might be news or maniapub, but it might be better if moved on the top right instead of Club suggestions.
Then, the Ubisoft Connect thing: why not. I get the appeal, but it should be smaller, like a rounded button or something in the corner.
Something like the Settings button. (see following image)
I love the new buttons design tho, they feel fresh and fits the overall theme.
Maybe a more "synced" theme (I forgot the word that I wanted) between icons would be cool (see following image), like either just an icon or a drawing, but not both in the same menu ?
Also, I love the fact that everything is now compatible with controller (menu, ghosts, settings). Preparation for console support ? Cross-play even ? (I'm looking at you, TM Turbo
)
Thanks for the great update, I love everything about the rest (new blocks, items, and all )
Hello !
This bug is short to describe: Whenever I try to create or edit a material, the game crashes.
I tried removing existing materials, without any luck.
Here's a simple video showing how to reproduce the bug:
Hello @ubi-milky !
It'll be hard to show you with a video but I'll send screenshots later.
However, I think I may have wrongly explained the 4Mb topic.
When you create a map with over 4Mb of custom items, Trackmania tells you that No Items or custom blocks will be embedded in the map.
The map is then smaller and asks for the User to have their items in their Items folder.
And I'm using Item.Gbx files, I used the Nadeoimporter tool to convert 3D model to Item.Gbx files. Those are perfectly valid Item.Gbx files as I was able to place them in the editor.
Hi,
When looking at the HTML code, we can find a good sentence: `redacted`. French insult that went under the radar. You understand pretty quickly what it is.
You can find it on the COTD page: https://www.trackmania.com/track-of-the-day: (https://trackmania.com/track-of-the-day)
Code sample: `<div class="d-block" href="redacted">`
No need to say why it should be removed
Thanks @Vanidor for telling me.
EDIT: This is fixed
Hello @Ubi-TheBerry,
I only experienced this since the latest big update, like I said.
I say "I" but in fact, it's not only me.

Hello !
While creating a mod using the ModWork folder, I accidentaly created a "CustomModTrans_D.dds.dds" that was too small and had a unusual size and result in a pitch black texture. I fixed it and added a normal CustomModTrans_D.dds (and kept the wrong one).
I ZIP'ed the folder and created a mod out of that which contain:
Everything worked well with the ModWork folder, but when I tried to put it into a ZIP, the CustomModTrans_D.dds.dds took over. Basically, everything was pitch black.
TLDR: In a mod, ".dds.dds" takes over ".dds", but this doesn't happen in ModWork folder.
Here is the ZIP: https://mega.nz/file/dglnUDbQ#djEdtKogT0vHny9JZ_MrevQIIkkstzZxVq6aN6LLSMQ: (https://mega.nz/file/dglnUDbQ#djEdtKogT0vHny9JZ_MrevQIIkkstzZxVq6aN6LLSMQ)
Hello @ubi-wheelyduck !
Thank you for your answer.
May I know why this is intended ? It should be possible to play a map if server and client have the items, right ?
It's like you can open a map in solo and it will work, why shouldn't it be the same in multiplayer ?
Thanks for answering
Hello @ubi-milky !
Yeah, no worries, here's the map: https://mega.nz/file/1ptgWJBD#ihha9DIrLnYdqtv2ESnru-DAXOrQVQwvJk1ncMRs8ps: (https://mega.nz/file/1ptgWJBD#ihha9DIrLnYdqtv2ESnru-DAXOrQVQwvJk1ncMRs8ps)
