@sirharrypierce That happens because there are items that affect different things. For example that Lumberjack is a Trade Union item (affecting any type of Lumberjack's Hut, plural = Lumberjacks' Huts), but there is an item such as "ulu" (Arctic Lodge) that affects "Lumberjack's Hut".
@ubi-thrupney I am a bit confused on the "intended behaviour for MP".
You are saying: "taking over a player-controlled island will only grant resources."
What kind of resources are granted? Cause it doesn't keep resource stocks (goods), nor items.
It worked like this (keeping items, but not goods) for the past years since the game release, but it was suddenly changed, an nothing was listed even in the Patch notes to notify about the change. Was there a need to do this?
Hello,
The issue is still present in the latest GU 14 update
Thank you
Hello,
It looks like a bug arised (last time this worked was in March 2021 or around that time), that prevents items from carrying through island takeovers/resettlements
Reproduction path:
1) Have a Multiplayer game with at least two players
2) Player 1 has an island with items in it
3) Player 2 takes over the island (e.g., via shares)
Expected:
All items on that island are KEPT, so Player 2 will own them now
Actual:
NO ITEMS are kept on the island:
This worked just fine before, so something was broken in the meantime
I must mention that the following would keep the items as well previously:
2) player 1 destroys island
3) player 2 settles (or player 1 resettles) the island
----------------
For ease of reproduction, I have prepared a save game: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xZNGgN2MIxi-iPXbXaqaZtCfboFkUmoA/view?usp=sharing: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xZNGgN2MIxi-iPXbXaqaZtCfboFkUmoA/view?usp=sharing)
Reproduction path:
1) Player from slot 2 (Lady Hunt's portrait) joins and starts the game
2) The island "Takeover test" in Old North is ready for share takeover
3) Player 2 takes it over
Actual: NO ITEMS are kept (as in the image above)
Expected: ALL ITEMS are kept
