@tydemon02 I agree, we should be able to silence it by shooting down the speaker.
Had this problem too. He actually showed up a regular player created character I could talk to and recruit so I talk to him and he says he would like to get back to fighting but you can't recruit him. Went to barracks and reassigned him and he showed up in the next couple raids. While doing that I noticed some others I assigned, weren't so had to fix those too. Something really weird going on with all that. This is on PC BTW.
As a fan of Dragons Dogma I was excited about the prospect of creating a 2nd character in the game that could be used by other players. Good side hustle hopefully. Had it all set in my head, what name I was going to give it and put a lot of thought into the appearance. I finally get there and there is just one button to cycle appearance??? I'm hoping I'm missing something and just didn't go into the right part of the game. Are you able to adjust looks and name of your Jomsviking?
If not, this is a HUGE letdown...and a missed opportunity by UBI. This '2nd' in command would be part of your crew for the whole game and having them look as you want would be more enjoyable and if you did a good job in creating it so it stands out, likely used more by other players.
If we are just stuck with this one button cycle thing...I hope UBI will add in the ability to adjust it's looks, build, name etc in the future(and not add hairstyles etc in the UBI store to do this!) and allow those of us who created one with the limited options at launch to modify it completely later or create a new one.
Pretty disappointed...but enjoying the game other than this.
I've been away for Rainbow Six for quite awhile. The new online only Siege was actually great fun, but I missed what the original game was. Where you could plan missions, execute A.I. operations objectives etc. A very tactical game based on scenarios that could happen in the real world. I've longed for a return to that with so many foreign(war) and domestic real life scenarios to pull from going on in the world right now. So when I saw a new R6 game was coming out next month I never even heard of and that it can done solo I got excited. Then I watch trailers and it leaves me really confused on what this title is really providing. I see we are dealing with aliens which makes me wonder why the Clancy estate doesn't request the immediate removal of the late authors name on the title as it's clearly straying from what he wrote about and his vision....BUT OK...we have aliens. Alright, not what I hoped for but maybe it can be OK. So can anyone enlighten me on the over so hazy details here?
Like I say, it's a bit too fantastical for a fan of Tom Clancy or the original game, but if have a good set of orders to issue these A.I. and they are half-ways intelligent, I guess kicking some alien butt could fun.
I with those that disagree. What was tried in Odyssey never really clicked with me. Valhalla's seems infinitely better. Getting around the map makes more sense, planning is easier and how everything is unfolding, in my eyes, is great. I was worried about levels when I say level 250, but as you increase your power level at a pretty steady rate, I think it will make sense near endgame. The only thing with leveling in absolutely hate is the fog of war effect in the powers menu. I guess it's not a huge deal as you can respec for free anytime, but for a planner...it's a nightmare lol.
@ultimatepowa Mostly weapons & shields. Check out this video:
. You can see a shield that I thinks was in both Origins and Odyssey plus a weapon he notes was from Origins. I've seen a couple other videos where they have come across a weapon from other versions of the game, just couldn't find them to link to. I don't mind those being optional(ubi reward or store) for those who like using things from previous versions, but would like to see all new weapons & shields in the game otherwise. Especially when they go to system where you aren't getting bombarded with loot, you would think they would be able to create all new items specific to this version and time period. The photos saved in [D:\Users\Documents\Assassin's Creed Valhalla\photos] aren't saved in the resolution I'm playing in 3440x1440. Are the full size photos somewhere else or is this being fixed?
I actually like the change. What I DON'T like is seeing weapons from Odyssey in Valhalla. That copy and paste of items from game to game seems lazy, like EA forgetting to remove last years logos in games when putting out the new one. I'm hoping it was just the difficulty working with COVID-19 that caused this happen and it wasn't intentionally done.
I get that it's random who they have show up at the different recruitment areas, but why not prioritize players friends to show first? I'm on PC and via Ubisoft Connect they have the info on who my friends are, so I'd like to see them pull that info and show those people first, or add an option in settings to view friends first or not. I guess if you have a ton of friends and don't want them all, it would be great to turn back on the random option. Ha! Give me what I want but allow me to turn it off lol. Didn't mean it to sound that way, but I'm hoping it's not a big deal make it easier to recruit your friends create viking(jorg-a-whateveritscalled)...maybe you have a 'send to friend option'.
@kmarkopl Maybe I...or you...are misunderstanding the question. I'm referring to the created Jomsviking made by friend that you could be recruited to your crew. These are AI driven, not a live person playing.
Are you SURE these are two different systems, or just assuming that and saying it as fact? Where did you get and verify that information?
Sorry about the name change..just aligning my online accounts and just changed my username a few minutes ago.
@anteronoid Ah...ok I'll try that. I've been using my arrow keys. Be nice if there was a option to turn the snapping off.

When viewing the map and moving the camera around to see different areas, it seems to want to jump to different parts of the map. Like a magnetizing effect if that makes sense. Is there any way to turn that off so I can smoothly navigate the map instead of it wanting to jump to places I don't want to view?

The problem glitched for me with that mission too. The wolf hangs around my room etc but can't interact with him. I just got the book(which should unlock the 2nd level of this ability) but it only gave me level 1. So it's like the game doesn't know I completed the initial quest to get the ability. Would be great if in the next patch (FOR PC) that it can somehow see the quest is done buried in the game somewhere and bump up the ability to level 2 for us or we will never get it. Or if the game sees you got the book and are only level 1 of the ability is bumps gives the 2nd level automaticaly so people don't need to restart the game(which would be silly).

It's a bit embarrassing , but I can't seem to figure out where to sell fish I caught. If you go to fishery, the boy only gives you list of specific ones he wants. I'm guessing I not seeing button or something to sell him my fish?
