I'm only glad now that I have bought the game on Epic Store and could request a refund.
Ubisoft, you're becoming a fraud.
I know this may sound as politics, but I really want Ubisoft to rethink the way they separate game localizations. Not all former URSS countries speak Russian, and not all former URSS countries gamers want to have Russian forced as an ONLY language in a game, specially when the vast majority of the gamers can speak and read English.
The next idea is a bit subjective to my own preferences, but some people might find it close to their own beliefs: I don't like to play games in Russian. I like the Russian language (It's a beautiful and colorful language), I can speak and write in Russian because it was a mandatory course when I was a pupil in school, but I favor English over Russian.
I don't like Russian in games because you can clearly feel the sound mixing is bad when the voices are overlayed on various game sequences. The lip sync is terrible.
You can't have Ezio Auditore speak in Russian with an Italian accent when the game is actually English with Italian accent.
Dear Ubisoft,
I want to commend you on the right move to apply temporary sanctions to Russia for their invasion of Ukraine and threat of a new world war. However, by forbidding Russian users to enter your store, you also sanctioned ALL THE OTHER former USSR countries simply because they have the same localization.
I live in Moldova. And my country is IP localized as Russian speaking, which is obviously WRONG. Moldova and Romania have the same spoken language: Romanian. Yet, you haven't set my country as part of Europe. The same goes for Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and so on. All the former USSR countries have their own spoken language, yet you decided to IP-locate them as Russian-speaking simply because they were sometime ago part of the USSR. This is wrong. Specially now with the current affairs of the world.
So, on behalf of all the other former USSR countries, I ask you to either set us on the general English speaking localization, or at least the EMEA localization, because we're kind of... EMEA.
Most of your players from these countries CAN SPEAK ENGLISH! Because English is an international language. So please think about it and don't sanction the wrong people.
I understand Romanian, English, French, Russian, bits of Ukrainian and Spanish... Yet I'm categorized as Russian-speaking because of... history?
This is discrimination on Ubisoft's part.
Please make a new IP-localization or at least re-locate the non-Russia countries to other English localizations.
Thank you!
@somad21 fall victim to what? It's their mistake and a normal respectable company would confirm their mess and actually deliver as it was described. And all the people who had the game with full language support should be able to keep it that way, and only the new buyers, who got the game AFTER the change, would've get it limited.
But, this being Ubisoft and money talking, I withdrew my money for false advertising.
Same thing here! I bought the game, I even played it in ENGLISH! But after a day or two it changed to Russian. Why?
And to add salt to the wound, UBISOFT CONNECT says the game is in ENGLISH!!!
Alright, let's just be patient people.. The problem is now known and spamming this thread does not make them work quicker..
These decisions have quite some impact so I assume that takes some time to consult.
We should already be thankful that they recognize the problem and are (hopefully) working on it. Not every developer does that..
Thanks @Ubi-Mark for keeping us up to date. Like to hear from you soon.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the way Ubisoft has ALREADY fixed the problem is they've changed the information on their store. Now the problem is fixed. The store page says it has English audio and Russian text. It was deceptive description on the pre-order page and even in the first few days of the game's release, but after that they realized that something is not right... so they removed all the languages except Russian...
Thankfully a large part of people bought the game from Epic and were able to refund. Maybe this will tell Ubisoft that the IP locking is a bad thing...
I went and redeemed my reward and all I got was a "Your reward will show in game next time you launch it" and nothing appeared in game. There's not even a name for that reward.
Also, UbisoftConnect has the Bayek outfit as a reward for those who watched the Twitch reveal of Valhalla. But it is locked. Why? When will these rewards be awarded?
Hi! So, I played yesterday the five races of the Storm and the main thing that stuck to my mind is that the Voice at the beginning says something about one big race through the whole USA, but we end up getting five mini races... why? Given the fact that there's only one big-a** race in this whole game, a new course would've been more than welcomed, specially with the dedicated weather and visual effects. It takes the same amount of time to play, roughly similar distance, but now with Street Cars which makes for a nice change of pace. So, why not a new big race?

Hello,
I live in Moldova, and since the war in Ukraine started I couldn't get into the game to finish the Motorpass rewards, even though I have bought the pass for 80.000 CC. I stopped somewhere in the middle of the whole Motor Pass progression (at around level 20-30) and went AFK being caught in problems tied with my neighboring country and the refugees from there.
So, my honest question is: can I somehow get the remaining rewards from my previous Motor Pass? Or maybe get back a part of my CC invested in the Pass?
Thanks for understanding
@jefflapuz09 You can buy from Ubisoft Store if you use VPN. That's how I'm buying their games since they started imposing IP limits a few years ago.
Unfortunately, Ubisoft has marked all the former USSR countries as Russian speaking, therefore they have the same localization. We need to ask them to either create a new localization for non-Russia countries, or set our countries (I'm from Moldova) as part of a different English speaking localization.
@jefflapuz09 If I remember correctly, if you have the Uplay version of the game, buying DLCs from Epic Games will not link them to your main game as these are seen as two separate entities, therefore, if you have the game from Ubisoft Store, I recommend getting a refund from Epic and buying the Season Pass from Ubisoft as well.

So... almost two weeks have passed... nobody ffing cares...
Of course I know about buying CC. I want to know of the ways we can win CC in game. If I remember correctly, last year there were still options to win CC from various activities, I just don't remember them now.
@gryphonz I'm no Ubisoft employee, but I can answer your question: No. There's no way to upgrade from Standard to Ultimate. If you want the Season Pass, you can get it by buying it separately. But since you've already bought it, it means you have the full game. If you want some bonuses as the pre-order bonus or something else, these will most surely appear on the Ubisoft Connect Rewards page in a month or so, as it was the same idea with other games. I remember having bought ultimate editions for AC Origins and Odyssey only to find, after a while, that the additional packs and missions were added to the Rewards system and anyone with Ubisoft points could get the packs that made the editions different.
My advice (for further games): buy standard edition. When they'll release the season pass content you could invest and buy the season pass. And if you're lucky you might even get the season pass for much less money than the difference between Standard and Ultimate editions...
