Here's a temporary fix. Play the original King's Quest (circa 1980's) for about a week, then return to AC Valhalla. Voila!
I personally like the game, I think it's got potential, but the combat needs some pretty serious tweaking. It just feels unfinished and WAY too random. I know that it just came out and it's pretty much on par with other releases in that it needs more patches than a boat made of screen doors but, c'mon, I feel pretty bad for the folks who paid for the Gold and Ultimate package. This amount of instability for over 100 bucks? I know you folks will work hard on getting it in shape though. There's still a little faith left in the gaming industry.
I agree, the camera is WAY too far away during combat. It's a little irritating when you lose your character in the melee.
@fractal009 Yeah, hopefully they'll be releasing a patch sooner rather than later but with the amount of issues that need to be fixed it's no wonder they're taking this long. But, again, this title shouldn't have been released with this many bugs and glitches. I'm guessing they had Helen Keller do the quality testing.
Welp, you guys destroyed all the mods available with the recent update and apparently you've gone and made it more difficult to craft them. Do you have any idea the value these mods add to AC? Stomping on the longevity of your titles and destroying the already limited replayability is a great way to lose out on future customers. Well done, guys!
@s_tanner It's definitely in need of patching as there's some blatantly obvious bugs which couldn't have gone unnoticed in the testing phase. No idea how it got through but it's still playable.
AND, I see Eivor still walks like he/she is stuck in mud when wearing the cloak. Wonderful, couldn't address those two minor issues in 19 gigs, eh?
Nuh uh. The last thing we need is for multiplayer crap to be shoe-horned into this game. There's enough of that stuff out there already. Besides, the dumpster-fire which is the modern online community would only serve to ruin the experience. Did you see how much effort Rockstar needed to put into RDR2's online updates in order to quell the uprising of complete d*%kheads that flooded the servers?
@chaosandcoffee Thanks for the link. I thought it did feel a little buggy, lol.
Blame your government, not Ubi. Besides, they have much more important issues to take care of like fixing the incredible amount of bugs. Not everyone needs to cater to the Asian community.
Once again.....do you guys actually play the game before you release patches? Mods are screwed again, have to redownload the entire game apparently. Just, wow......
Any chance of fixing this ridiculous issue? For example, the hammer looks perfectly normal when sheathed, and when you pull it from the sheath it looks like an Acme hammer from the Looney Toons. I mean I'm sure more than a few people have commented on it......but I'm not sure what Ubi is thinking by allowing this silly issue to continue. Trying to kick immersion to the curb completely?

Great job guys, new patch not only DIDN'T fix the glitchy combat but now it crashes every time I get into a large melee. You lot get paid to do this?

There's a new patch coming? Hopefully it makes combat enjoyable.
@beylous Hell I just want to be able to actually fight from horseback the way we could in AC:Odyssey![]()
Yeah, that'd be good too. Can't say I like the fact you can only kick when you've got a frigging are or flail hanging off your belt.
Just wondering if there is any chance of improving the animations when riding horses? At full tilt it just looks so unnatural and.....just wrong. Definitely not motion captured or even studied with any real effort.
Yep. Aaaaany day now.....I'd like to get back to playing it.
