My vote is "no" for paying for gear and loadouts...
That makes sense… so starting a thread asking how much play time one can expect from the game is a reasonable question. Or even asking if the game is much better now than at launch, is a good question (which is what the OP was originally asking). But titling your thread… Is this worth $X (where X is less than the cost of a pizza is)
But the game goes on sale for that much. I dont think i can fault a person for looking on the Ubistore, seeing that BP is on sale for only 10 dollars and asking "is BP worth 10 dollars?". Metal Gear Survive has started to go on sale for 10-15 dollars but i still wouldn't mess with that game. I've weighed the pros and cons of that game and its not worth it...even if it were to be given away for free i wouldn't waste my time on it. With BP even though it has lots of bad stuff it still has a few things that i like about it like the gunplay, graphics, and some of the outfits.
and now seems to be Call of Duty: Open World edition, and aimed at the lowest common denominator, just like CoD is
Nah...it's more like Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Ghost Recon Edition. A handful of times i've been on a forum dedicated to a Ubisoft game like Wildlands, Breakpoint or Far Cry. And i'll see someone commenting how that game feels like another ubisoft game. And i cant really call those people crazy because i get these same feelings too when i play Wildlands and to a greater extent Breakpoint (unless i'm crazy too). You have all these map locations in Breakpoint just like how AC: Odyssey does. You go to each location and it has a couple of objectives you have to do just like how Odyssey has kill 1 captain, kill 3 lieutenants, loot 4 chests, destroy 8 doohickies, free 10 whatstheirnames. In Breakpoint you loot chests, loot intel, loot collectibles, etc. I even saw a video of a dev talking about Breakpoints Behemoths and they described they as a "mythological creature" or something like that. They're taking concepts from one game and copying it into other games and just changing the coating of it. AC: Odyssey you have the eagle to scout around...Breakpoint you have the drone...Immortals Fenyx Rising you go to vantage points and unlock faraway locations (basically a stationary drone/eagle).
@schema86 dude i have owned GRB since day one and i like it yeah i get the whole why can't it be offline as sometimes you get really toxic players i understand that and wanting to play with a small group i agree but the actual online side brings us all together and we can make new friends and have fun as a bigger group it is just the toxic people that turn people away from such titles
Wanting to avoid "toxic players" isn't the only reason for wanting to play in offline mode. There are plently of reasons to want to play the game in singleplayer mode only and a lot of them have nothing to do with anything you said. But a singleplayer game/mode that always requires an internet connection is seen by a lot of people as a dumb design choice. Someone might not want that "always online" thing because maybe they have bad internet that goes down all the time, maybe they want to play the game on a travel laptop, maybe they have limited bandwidth. Plenty of reasons here too which again have nothing to do with people not wanting anything to do with "toxic players".
He was banned for no reason. Apparently now you can't criticize Ubi and their games even with a little humor because if you do you get banned. Gotta love the freedom of speech here
By the way where are all the mods? Ever since the new forum was created Toon and the other mods went AWOL. This forum feels dead and with mods not interacting or sharing any news makes it even worse. It's almost like they abandoned BP completely.
There's criticizing and then there is FCaCK who likes to go into almost every thread and steer it towards "Ubisoft doesn't know what they are doing" or whatever he liked to say. Between him and that one guy spamming the suggestions forum it's making me not want to come to these forums and look at what little discussion there is.
EDIT: i'm not trying to defend Ubisoft or anything like that. But FCaCK's constant stream of sarcasm/criticism makes me feel like he thinks we are all too stupid to see it with our own eyes.
