

I was so exited and happy for the Conqueror and Shaolin reworks, until Ubisoft decided to change route and make more Pirates. I deleted this game yesterday already because I was sick of fighting S tiers 75 percent of the games I played. I thought I would install again next season after some valuable nerfs happened and after the reworks I thought would be great. But instead, they barely touched Pirate and never even mentioned any of the other S tiers. And the reworks, which before looked very balanced, broke my heart. Infinite unblockables for Conq, infinite lights for no reason, feintable bash that wasnt even punishable on whiff to begin with. Shaolin is Hitokiri 3.0, why did they have to make him unstoppable. Before it's like if he missed a bash you could attack back. But now he can just chain to heavy or light and never stop his chains. Plus they buffed his trajectories and dmg. The neutral bash was cool but that was it. WHY CANT YOU JUST MAKE STRONG HEROES WHO CAN BE STOPPED, WHY THE INFINITE NEARLY UNPUNISHABLE CHAINS WITH ENDLESS MIXUP POTENTIAL? I thought these reworks would redeem the last 4, but they look worse, WORSE, BLOODY HOW DO YOU ACCOMPLISH THIS!!?!?!? WHERE ARE THE MUCH BEGGED FOR NERFS????? I'M BLOODY DONE WITH THIS WALK IN TORTURE FEST!!! We ask for nerfs and you give is more Pirates. Any heros that isnt S tier isnt even playable anymore. Unplayable. So I quit. I cant bear it anymore. My favourite all time game gets worse every season. A colossal shame. I'm very sad. Ever heard of listening to the community? You should learn from Epic Games, they make weekly updates, constantly making balance changes. Fortnite is still thriving. And for good reason. They care for the community.
Dont know what about Orochi being able to chain into his entire moveset is okay after whiffing his bash. The odd time your not getting undodgeable everything spammed and manage to dodge a kick you are met with absolutely no way to punish. he can already recovery cancel EVERY SINGLE attack. Oh, whats that, so can Zhanhu. Can Zhanhu delete your entire health bar with only a forward fking dash. He is the only FKING character I find in deuls. I rejoice when I fight Kyoshin, I party when I get a WL. I cant play my damn game because every single attack is either undodgeable, unblockable, or a FKING bash...WITH NO WAYYYYY TO PUNISH!!!!! THIS IS A BLOODY FKING JOKE. Remove his chains after missing his bash and make his undodgeable "heavy" actually the speed of a heavy like Cents at least. This Bi**h A** joke of a character single handedly breaks the game.
@kioxoh Very interesting. I think after Pirate. People just dont want new heroes. We want the existing ones changed. Reworked and balanced better first. Every time a new hero releases, the game becomes more braindead and unbalanced. They would find a way to make your idea a living hell for the community and intoxicate the game more. I'm sorry man, I know you spent a lot of time into this post. I just know that another new hero, while exiting, would be unhealthy for the game at this stage. I appreciate this post though. Cool idea. Maybe in the future it could happen once Ubi learns to make a playable against character. Pirate just murdered our aspirations for this games future lol
@deathtocakl I'm not simply complaining without an argument. I point out things that are in need of a buff or a nerf. In Pirates case I spoke on how he needs to have openings after missing a bash. And about the forward heavy, yes I was straight up complaining. I should have given ideas on how to fix that move instead. As far as the Zhanhu post. Some things are just so rediculous it feels almost necessary to be sarcastic/comedic about it. But I still did mention the obvious course of action was to allow him to chain his moves with frame advantage. You see, I do argue points and I do also rant. But bare with me and understand that people vent sometimes. It's a game we all mutually love and heros like Pirate have us boiling. But you did make an excellent observation when you told me to be specific when I argue the changes I think are appropriate. Thank you for that. I will try to do this but be nice and treat people like we are equal. Because everyone shares this vibe that you behave like a demigod who flaunts his birthright no offense intended
@shogun3554 They removed it because it made clearing B to large a task. Took MUCH longer. I too wish they kept it but just made clearing B more rewarding perhaps. Because they were just bloody awsome. Soo cool. I'm sure there is a way they could have balanced it. Instead the chose tonspend their time making op heroes that ruin the game smh

@sargon__ Correct, when I was playing Deuls, I would have times when I would reload the game 10 + times in a row because my opponent picks a meta hero. I could just leave the match within the first several seconds. But I'd rather give the meta abuser a level 3 AI to deal with. Knowing your gonna lose even if your are more experienced and skilled because of something out of your control kills the fun of the game. Your not asking yourself, 'What can I do to improve' you aren't reflecting on mistakes, you know you should have won. There just isnt that learning experience. You simply lost because Ubisoft decided to give certain heroes everything, and inevitablely, everything too strong will get abused. Then people just coerce you into playing those broken heroes. This does what, I'll tell you, it puts the game back to day one. Only a few playable heroes per faction. All the other heroes might as well have lock signs placed over them despite being owned. Because they arent playable anymore. And wont be ever be if Ubisoft continues this snail pace of making everyone Pirate tier. Which in itself is boring to fight. Unblockable everything, hyper armor this, undodgeable that, bashes with no punish. BORING AGONY!!! YEARS OF WORK, A GINORMOUS WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES!!!! who bloody wants to play Shaman, who wants to play Warden, Law, Gryphon, Zhanhu etc. Etc. Etc. I do, but at a loss.
UBISOFT, YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME WITH ALL THESR EVENTS AND FASHION, WITHOUT BALANCE, NONE OF THIS MATTERS, YOU NEED TO START MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND FIX YOUR S TIERS AS A #1 PRIORITY. ALL THIS NEW REWORKS AND HEROES HAVE RUINED THE GREATEST FIGHTING GAME OF ALL TIME. ITS NOT TOO LATE TO START BALANCING AND SAVE THIS AMAZING GAME
@mcbooma16 the current S tiers are characters with oppressive offense while being too safe defensively. A tier is where you have everything necessary to make a hero strong, except they can be punished properly. That's a balance. Pirate is rediculously safe while having oppressive offense. He would classify as S+. Shinobi has balanced offense but is too strong defensively. He would classify as S tier. BP is strong offensively (I already made clear the two changes I'd like to see made)and defensively is strong but also reasonably punishable (that is current A tier). A tier is balanced and should be the new S tier. You dont need oppressive offense such as unblockable spam and crazy armor and trajectories, or almost unpunishable defense to be viable.
@illuminatieyes Yes, KD stats and when the game says your skill is higher or lower than your opponent is a stupid. The second doesnt mean crap and the K/D win loss ratio stats are a colossal cause for rage quits. I guarantee if that wasnt shown. People wouldnt leave the game when the match comes to an end. They would rather lose the reward than lower their stats. Then we would only see a rage quits mid match pretty much.
@brandarsson you will literally get thrown off of your gb attempt if you dodge his kick and try to guard break, I'm not making this up lol. It's happened to me a rediculous amount if times, and I'm not waiting and throwing my guard break late. He just has rediculous recoveries that I'm shocked you dont know about as such as strong HL advocate. You have been selective reading pal, because there is no way you missed me saying that I thought the stamina cost should be reduced with the amount of times I've already stated that. I'm not saying that his unblockables should be a spam tool. I've been a strong advocate on these Forums against the idea of chaining from one unblockable to another safely. If HL tried that you should be able to interrupt with a light. After all, He has the quicker kick that guarantees the same dmg. So bringing his damage down to 24 and stamina 12 which I think is what you said would be good if the unblockables could be interrupted if chained from one to another, and if they had lower recoveries, and if they could recovery cancel dash. This would make him appropriately punishable while giving him the dodge recovery cancel option for ganks. Give him more stamina for volume in place of the rediculously high damage he can access immediately and quickly.
@brandarsson I deeply perplexed on how you continue to think I condone the high stamina cost when I've said multiple times that the stamina should be lowered accordingly. Your selective reading. Whenever I dodge HLs unblockable or kick and go for a gb. My gb gets thrown off and I get hit by a kick or unblockable. He recovers too quickly from his kick. His unblockable has quick recoveries like his kick, not recovery cancels but I'd be all for that idea if his recovery was lowered to actually guarantee a gb on dodge but still be able to recovery cancel against dodge attacks. Here's the deal. If his unblockable had lower damage and stamina costs and was always punishable by gb (not just on perfect dodge such as with BPs bash). Then I'd like to see recovery cancels added since his offensive stance is supposed to be highly mobile and relies on dodges. Do you understand me now or do I have to tell you again in the next post that I agree the stamina is too high?
@brandarsson I actually did justify why. I said that any other high damage move like that has to be chained into or charged up. HL doesnt follow any of these principles and cant even be punished by a gb for missing a 30 dmg attack. Perfectly justifiable. Charged neutral heavies like Hitokiris and Shugokis can be interrupted with a gb and punished with a gb on miss. Zhanhus is interruptable and has to be chained into and punishable by gb. Kenseis and Lawbringers have to be chained into and are interruptable. Kenseis can be punished by gb. HLs unblockable also has one of the farthest travel distances from any none forward dash heavy in the game with multiple softfeints and recovery cancels that actually work against many heroes. It's just not consistent. Take all this into account and you suddenly see that his large stamina cost is justifiable. Though I'd rather, as I said before, see the damage AND STAMINA lowered to see more volume from the character instead of bombs landing from your external guard then lack of activity from the character because he is regenerating.
@brandarsson I do care about his stamina. Which is why I said it should be lowered. But I also said the damage should be lowered, meaning the stamina would be lowered more so accordingly. I just dont care to go into formulas and what not. Clearly me and you have just had a big misunderstanding
@brandarsson I made very clear why I thought these changes must be made. I said that his defensive stance was lacking an essential opener that every character needs to be viable. I said his defensive stance was used for offense almost exclusively due to the fact the defensive stance is so loaded with armor and very fast heavies. The light chain can also bot be dodged. For these reasons I said his defensive stance has become to offensive based and lost its purpose. I said his damage should be lowered along with stamina in offensive form to promote volume over bombs that blow out his stamina. and something must be done to counter dodges and rolls. These are all perfectly good arguments.
@i6-4ibod I'm hoping Centurion gets a rework soon ( he is on top of the list of needed reworks). I don't think BP has ever changed and I think he is the most balanced hero in the game. Orochi is the most prolific spam character in the game because of his forward heavy and options after missing a kick (yet people complain he is bad when in reality he is very strong) Orochi is in a terrible spot. His rework was a disaster like Conqs. And changes will take forever to happen at the snail pace Ubisoft has set. So I hope your bloody patient lol
@undondory it's simple really, remove the stamina bullying on his bashes and allow safe chain into his unblockable from light and blocked heavy. Maybe there is more to be done. But that would be come down to math specific changes that I've already made clear I dont get into. I'm just listing the two things I think are his biggest issue.
@eroglas if you disagree with me you will disagree with others here by colossal proportions. Some people actually think Orochi and Conqueror are too weak etc. Imo, Black Prior is the closest to balance in the game, definetely needs tweaks but is close.
@brandarsson I dont care about the specific details. I care very much about balance. I leave the specific details up to the developers. I just state the issue in a vague way. Like saying too strong ot too weak. This is broken and this is why. For the last time, I care about balance, just I wont care to ever go into specific detail such as say something is precisely 566 ms, ot they hitstun property should be altered to medium instead of high, and the chain links should he shortened by 200 ms. The damage should go from 31 to 24 and the stamina lowered from precisely this to precisely that.That's what I dont care about. I realize all that is very important. I myself just wont care to go into that and leave it to the "professionals"
@eroglas Warden ain't balanced sir. Slow side lights, bash has no I frames and is too slow and always against interrupted even when you successfully dodge. Bash light is also punishable by gb.
