@killerelitexqc you gotta set controller only in settings instead of Hybrid the lag is from input switching.
Latest bluetooth driver does not fix it.

@airbornemaikai lol I'm in the wrong thread lmao actually try reading the topic title. It says Xbox One / Series X|S controller disconnects while playing. It does not just say Xbox Series X|S controller disconnects while playing.
@airbornemaikai good idea read the posts. Yes there is problems solely with Xbox Series X controllers on windows 10. You'd be better served going to this reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsSquadrons/comments/jsfzbx/xbox_series_x_controller_bluetooth_disconnecting/
All of us in here have issue with other controllers disconnecting like the regular xbox controller cyberpunk edition or xbox elite controllers. Your issue is different from this thread.
@ubi-woofer Xbox one cyber punk controller, Xbox one pubg controller, Xbox Series X shock blue. All have disconnect issues the XSX is the worst. pubg one has terrible button delay where I have to repeat my presses only happens in this game. Cyberpunk one disconnects less.
MSI Z490 Unify
i7 10700k
RTX 2080 Gigabyte Gaming OC
32gb(8gbx4) DDR4=4000mhz CL15
Have tried both exclusive and hybrid same issue. Exclusive gets rid of lag that comes with disconnect.
Connect via wire all issues resolved I have not tested wire with any controller but the XSX one however.
Steam fix works good I did notice minor issue at times where response would be liked delayed on movement or character would stop running as if controller was disconnecting but it wasn't very rare occurrence though. If these company's are going to go epic exclusive they should really understand what makes steam so popular in the first place and adapter the same/similar features.
@dbgager not really you would be surprised how many features epic launcher is missing for example no way to move game install to another drive on PC. So I go and move the game manually to different drive and go to install game Epic won't let it install because folder already exists. So only way is to completely redownload the game. While with steam they have the option to move game install and if I did it manually, then uninstalled, then installed in new location steam would discover game files.
So overall no a launcher is not a launcher.
I think I have found a fix for now just played 1 hr 30 min with no disconnects.
Make sure ubisoft connect is closed completely and not minimized. Power on xbox controller via bluetooth, then launch ubisoft connect, then launch ac valhalla.
@acedarkholme-t2 I have same issue with Xbox Series X controller Shock blue my cyberpunk special edition xbox one controller does it also but not as frequent both via bluetooth z490 unify. It seems to happen only when ubisoft connect is running. I am not sure if it's all ubisoft games but I know valhalla its really bad.
BTW @y00pdl to fix the lag from this switch, go to control tab in valhalla settings and set control method to xbox controller instead of hybrid.
Before with uplay this never happened. I have not tried xbox wireless adapter to see if that still does it but with wireless adapter input delay is higher so I prefer bluetooth.
@m477h3w_pt Why not buy it through ubisoft connect? Given game works through that anyway. I'm not sure its ever coming to steam. Look at Division 2 still not there.
