@darrowshowlers oh you also complained about me "turtling and waiting for light parries". but probably didnt want to contradict yourself and edited that out too. i had you on read one of those rounds lol.
you got me to 1 hit and opened with a heavy and chained a bunch of delayed heavies, feinted a single kick which i knew you would do since you only let a single level 2 fly that whole game. did more heavies, and then fed me the most telegraped light ive ever seen lol. which would make sense why youd be mad because you think this is a "defensively favored game". you just dont know to attack properly is all. you attack like youre fighting someone using option selects.
if only you had those enhanced lights so that your heavies could somehow kill me with chip damage.
@darrowshowlers the idea is to give people more freedom to pick what they want (because they will likely outrage at single pick), while simultaneously preventing 4 stacks. which most people tend to outright hate.
@nameless-perso thats not the problem. attacks either get armor 100ms into the attack. or during/after feint timing. its not like the devs to give characters insanely awkward armor timings. i suggested it just be 100ms into the attack, except for the top heavy unblockable. which should be at feint timing.
in general i think all chain heavies with armor should get armor at 100ms (with the exception of hito and shugo). and all other armored openers should get armor at feint timing. again with the exception of attacks that cannot be feinted.
@darrowshowlers so yeah game 1 i went berserker. i had orders for duels and playing vikings. and i felt like playing berserker game 1. you played jorm pretty decently. on that final round where you got that max punish using throw > whiff bash > finisher heavy > slam. that punish actually doesnt work anymore. but i hardly fight jorm enough to be mindful to late parry it. just something to point out. you have to do throw > hold movement in the direction of the throw > light > heavy finisher to guarantee it. just something to casually point out. shrug.
with the viking orders in mind there was only 2 vikings i care to play atm. berserker and raider. since i want reps on them. didnt wanna play a stamina hungry feint character into jorm again so i picked raider. also a shrug. wasnt trying to dog you or anything. i play aramusha if thats the goal.
hitokiri you didnt play all that well though. you let a level 2 charge kick go at an awkward time, all your other kicks you delayed until the last second and feinted. which did catch me a few times, but it becomes predictable. reason why i started lighting you out of it so often in later rounds.
me light attacking you so much was also intentional. it became pretty clear to me after a round a half that you didnt really care to respect frame advantage, nor parry lights. since hito doesnt have a good opener, alongside with you not playing to frame advantage, throwing lights was simply the best thing to do. it beats heavies, gb attempts, potentially dodge attacks because of raiders armor. on top of that i never spammed chain lights. i just opened with a lot of lights.
not swapping my guard to light attack you was also intentional. swapping guard and then doing a light effectively makes your light attack 600ms rather than 500. it also gives away the side youre gonna attack from since you see the guard swap. if you just throw a light without swapping guard its less expected and in a sense, comes out faster.
as for your sense of "honor" you need to just get over yourself. there is no such thing. complaining about me opening with lights all the time is like complaining you got ganked in dominion. thats just the nature of things. the only thing i vaguely consider honorable is no cliffing, spikes, or fires. as far as i care everything else is fair game. many other players care even less and will gladly throw you into fires. i left after that 2nd game because i was trying to speedrun my orders and you played too slow lol.
think you edited your post. but you said something about "me knowing you couldnt do anything about light attacks" which assuming you know about frame advantage you know thats not true. after blocking a light, you can buffer a light and youll hit first. if you block and the buffer a heavy, you will trade. you can also just parry, or dodge attack. you unironically did none of these. was bad play on your part.
youre likely to not read all of this and get upset and call me bad. when you do so i reccomend you look inward and ask yourself what you could have done better. if you continue to be upset after reading even this, you can suck it up lol.
@darrowshowlers oh you were the jorm. you went hito the following game right?
im just trying to recall the games we played
@nameless-perso man you must have not read my reply at all. i mentioned quite literally all attacks and characters that have hyper armor starting at 100ms. including raider, pirate, and berserker.
@darrowshowlers who was i the 1st time again? who was i playing that is. i was just trying to get some orders done.
who were you playing?
id be happy to explain but youll have to wait since im in zalcano
i remember fighing a jorm, a hito, and a shugoki that went aramusha after like 2 games. btw i might edit this post like 8 times
@illuminatieyes thoughts on a limit of 2 duplicate heros per team?
@l0k1-01 most of the time yes
@lostdarknight gryphon is on the weaker side. Complaining about dodge attack spam shows that you're a very average player.
@furryanimegod I've had this happen from time to time. This used to happen a lot in the cauldron area of that same map but they fixed that one.
@l0k1-01 it's a little funny yes.
On a serious note though. They experimented with single pick when breach first came out and it had a lot of backlash because people couldn't simply play who they wanted. So it's the people who caused this.
If they ever come out with ranked dominion itl probably be single pick though.
@leo9wharf373 grouping up with friends with crossplay has not been implemented yet. Hopefully itl be out next season, if not it's going to be later this year
@Nameless-Perso the light hitstun thing I meant specifically after the double light. Since the link timing is 300ms. Again I said I could be wrong about this.
For the target swapped unblockable yes people outraged the most at his buff because of that 600ms unblockable.
@nameless-perso hyper armor is based on feint timings for the most part. Any attack that can be feinted gets armor at 400ms before the attack will land. Aka feint timing.
The single exception to this is highlander with his Celtic curse. Which gets hyper armor at 200ms into the 1st attack. He gets hyper armor on his chain finisher 300ms into the attack, which after feint timing. Seeing as it's a 600ms attack.
The 3 different timings attacks get hyper armor is 300ms before landing, 400ms before landing, or 100ms in the case of attacks that cannot be feinted. Alongside berserker, pirate, and raider.
Please look into what you're talking about before correcting me.
@nameless-perso some things to point out/mention.
You probably don't want undodgeble finisher heavies when it comes to gryphons mixup. If im not mistaken, someone who buffers a dodge after a light, will still be able to block the heavy from any direction.
Hyper armor should come out at either 400ms or 100ms, not 500 or 300. 500 is just a very strange number, and 300 isn't outside of the format that hyper armor is adjusted. All hyper armor chain heavies that aren't also unblockable should have hyper armor at 100ms in my opinion.
By this, your unblockable finisher would get hyper armor at 400ms.
Enhanced helm cleaver I imagine would be a little too oppressive so I disagree.
Problem with side dodge attack is less the recovery, and more the fact they are on the slower end of dodge attacks by 100ms. But generally you can actually dodge and still block hyper armor.
Opener bash is already 300 to 500ms input.
I imagine unblockable a target swapped 533ms unblockable I imagine would cause some outrage. Some people already hate zanhu with their 566ms unblockable lights.
@illuminatieyes don't really see why this matters but sure.
@darrowshowlers I'm not special, and I'm not speaking for the devs. I'm just tempering your expectations.
Again I'm happy to @ you and gloat once I'm right.
