Hi everyone. i was just thinking while at work after discussing balance changes with @undondory earlier today and ive come up with some ideas for reworking my original main conq. everything mentioned is with the idea of "peel back defense, add aggression". with that in mind, in no particular order...
Full block.
No longer has Superior Block property.
Can no longer follow up with a Shield Uppercut after successfully blocking an attack.
Startup time reduced to 100ms.
No longer drains stamina on successful block.
Stamina drain while in full block tripled to 15/sec.
Exit time removed.
Can now cancel Full block into any move. including attacks, dodges, and guardbreaks.
"The above changes essentially turn conquerors full block into a normal feint. Allowing him to flow into his options, rather than returning to neutral.
Chains.
Removed same side combo lights.
Same side combo heavies gain Unblockable property. damage remains the same.
"These changes will give Conqueror actual mixup potential rather than blocking every attack until you see orange."
Dodges and Dodge Bashes.
Side Dodge Superior Block duration reduced to match that of valk.
On successfull Side Dodge deflect, the followup bash will deal 8 damage in addition to the guaranteed followup light.
Forward dodge functionality remains the same.
"The above change will remove the "One size fits all" aspect of conquerors dodge attacks, While also giving it more risk/reward for doing late dodge attacks."
Charged Heavy.
Removed Superior block on Non-Charged Heavy Attacks.
Guard swap functionality reverted to the standard of 100ms.
Charge time reduced to 500ms.
"This will remove the option select -esque functionality of his heavies, while giving Conqueror more opportunities to counter attack with a charged heavy.
More range, forward movement, and trajectory on all heavy attacks.
"Speaks for itself"
Spinny Chase Heavy Attack.
New attack performed by forward dodging and inputting a heavy attack.
800ms, 20 Damage attack, Chain starter, Lots of forward movement.
"Chasing tool. As is if you roll away from a conqueror player and run, the Conqueror player Cannot follow up and chase. Period.
