I do like the updated fourms look and feel a lot.
But if you're on mobile, currently your keypad covers up the text box, so it's very hard to see what you're typing, and it's harder to fix typing errors.
Something to be looked at.
Edit: the fourm page also likes to actively update quite a bit. Occasionally this causes the pages to fully refresh while you're going through menus. Sometimes making it a race to the link you're trying to click.
Edit Edit: some forms of text do not compensate for when dark mode is enabled. Making it very hard to read some of the text. A great example is MayanKingGaming's post praising the new dark mode. https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/101332/ohh-so-this-is-the-new-forum-nice-but-dark-mode-is-epic?lang=en-US
Edit within an Edit: it's a little bit of a long wait to wait 5 minutes to be able edit after an edit. Or 10 minutes for another edit it seems.
I had to actually repost this all together lol.
P.s. the button to go back to editing a draft, overlaps the "write a new post" button.
Quite a bit of kinks to work out.
Remember that this game is supposed to reward you for aggressive play. With option selects existing, by throwing an attack and knowing you are fighting someone who option selects, you are putting yourself on the defensive.
Also there's more option selects than just zone. You have bash option select, guardbreak option select, dodge option select, and some character specific ones too.
It's pretty hard to deal with a bp doing an unpunishable bash because you decided to feint an attack.
Raider is definitely quite strong now. Not strong enough to be nerfed though.
Orochi is definitely pretty unique and hard to kill. But overall he's still B tier. Not busted at all.
Also for any and all that want orochi reverted. Nothing was taken away from him except for a pointless light finisher. His hurricane blast was merged with his wind gust.
If you want him "reverted". Just give yourself the self imposed restriction of not bashing, no recovery cancels, no Zone chain, no front dodge storm rush.
Enjoy your terrible pre-rework character.
After a couple reps worth of new orochi I figured I'd point out the couple things I'd like to see improvement upon.
Bash hit confirm sound.
Compared to other bashes than can chain of whiff and others that don't chain on whiff, it's sometimes kind of awkward in high stress situations not having a bash confirm sound. It's pretty unfortunate when you whiff a bash on a back dodge and get light parried because it didn't actually connect.
Just hope it gets given a confirm sound sometime.
Confirmed 2nd light input problems.
Guaranteed light seems a little janky and quite inconsistent at the moment. It's sort of all over the place seemingly. You can buffer inputs, do late inputs, or do the light input upon hearing your hit land. In all cases it honestly feels like a 50/50 if the game is gonna give you your confirmed light, or just throw a combo light.
Again, hope this is made to be a little bit more consistent in the future.
P.s. zone attack + guaranteed light = 18 damage. Kinda op. Possibly reduce by 2.

@jb6534 reflex guard works as intended. But you can't exactly think of it like normal guard.
When it comes to blocking you want to (by the name) use your reflexes when you see red in order to block.
Reflex guard is only active for 600ms after your guard comes up. This works excellent in 99% of cases. A guard swap takes 100ms to be active, and players reflexes in the game tend to be in the 200 to 300ms range. Effectively making your guard swap time between 300 to 400ms upon seeing red.
This combined with the fact that nearly all attacks range from 500 to 900ms, you'll be able to block any move consistently so long as you react to red.
Where this becomes a problem is when you pre-load your guard in anticipation of an attack. You see someone's guard is to the left, you swap your guard and your 600ms timer begins. They then throw a 500ms light after you have swapped your guard and your guard expires under 100ms before the attack lands. Making it seem like they just magically hit through your guard.
TL : DR: input your guard on reaction to red. Not in anticipation or when your opponent swaps guard.
Hope this helps.
@knight_raime well I know they got damage nerfs with the CCU. But the only nerf ara got for a very long time was they removed the guaranteed top light off side heavy because it was confusing players. They buffed the side heavy damage to compensate. He actually got his top heavy buffed in speed because he got no heavy off gb on release.
I highlander was buffed after his release. His Celtic curse couldn't be soft feinted into offensive form for example. Then he slowly got minor nerfs due to abuse/option select related things. He could chain a kick into a kick for example.
@picoancus and my point is, if you care about the game and want to play the hero. Buy it. Rather than being stubborn.
On a side note. Pretty much no hero will release in a balanced state. New generally means strong generally. Also nobody wants a hero that's weak on release. So instead they will release them on the stronger end of things. In which this new character absolutely will not be op. So it's a win in my book.
@trigamonis fortnite and league of legends are "free" but they are also far from free. Players spend far too much on cosmetics in those games. For Honor is the same way, but it's actually realistic to never spend money on the game aside from buying the game/expansions.
And obviously you don't even need to spend money on the new hero. You just have to wait a week.
But assuming you A. Want to play the new hero, and B. Actually care about the game. You should buy the hero assuming you aren't living off your parents.
