@dlmthree
A game breaking bug is a pretty big issue for reviewers to be dealing with days before release. Odyssey had a game breaking bug that cost at least one forum member 100 hours of gameplay.
Thankfully this has been reported. Hopefully it will be fixed ASAP. I value my time. Ego isn’t a consideration.
@martygod12
I’ve got around 200 hours in Origins, and I’m at 1000+ with Odyssey. I played all other AC games except the first one: with varying levels of engagement.
Valhalla is among the least rewarding and the most boring. I don’t dislike it (as I dislike Black Flag). I just don’t care about it. I’m at around 12 hours in Valhalla, and I’ve really no desire to continue playing.

”Scotch” is an alcoholic beverage produced in Scotland. “Scots” are the people.
If you’re going to make an analogy like that, at least make sure it is correct.
Sincerely,
A Scot in Canada
Yup. This is dreadful.
I can’t just quickly scroll through the post titles. And, being that post content is displayed on the main page, it is going to be more difficult to avoid spoilers: which has been a big problem over the last few weeks.
edit: I just checked the settings, and there appears to be no way to turn off the post preview.
I can't fathom how this could be an issue . . . am I a total moron? I can't select Eivor.
@imaginaryruins
The Assassins killed thousands of innocent people in Portugal, and they should have known it would happen (they killed thousands of innocents in Haiti in the same way).
The Assassins kill innocents. A LOT of them. They’re just as arrogant (and wrong) as the Templars are.
@snakeeater49910
As far as some of us are concerned, you’re a part of the younger generation of gamers.
If you’ve been gaming for 25 years, my eldest son could be just a year or so younger than you. He loves Valhalla. I think his standards are too low.
@k1417sind68
A low reply? Your post is offensive to Scots. Norwegian Vikings may not be Danes, but Scots are NOT “Scotch.” Whether English is your first language or not is irrelevant. You have been informed.
Don’t cry about one group of people being mislabelled, when you mislabel another.
@viem While it is a voluntary process, it is one that is very biased against the consumer. Steam is the only platform that is even remotely on the side of the consumer (they gave me a refund for “No Man’s Sky” after I had downloaded it, played it, and deemed it crap). Sony has only sided with consumers as a retaliatory step against a developer.
Until I can say “This game sucks. I want a refund,” or, “The armour I paid extra money for did not come in at the advertised tier. I want a refund,” the process it anti-consumer.
@show_stoppa I just popped in to say, “Hey! I just hired your Jomsviking.”
@gleb999gurbatov
What has happened, exactly? On what platform?
I was thinking I might pop back into the game for a bit, but perhaps I should pass for now.
@show_stoppa
Thanks! I just popped into the forum today for the first time in a couple of weeks and saw this.
I used yours in most of my raids (along with the other friends’ Jomsvikings that I've been able to recruit) and yours levelled up for me: not as quickly as my own levelled, but I was pleased.
I’m not sure if my use of your Jomsviking benefits you at all, but it makes me smile.
@longjohn119 Thanks! I get my first shot today. Maybe this will be a good summer. Hopefully things are going well for you.
@yesin069 A mountain of stuff came out about Ashraf Ismail (with receipts). He’s rotten to the core.
This last summer, Cas Anvar (Altair) was exposed as being just as rotten as Ismail (also with receipts).
This culture of exploitation is engrained in the Ubisoft boys club. Who knows how deep it actually runs.
@whocares78 Cool. Thanks.
I’ll wait for a deep discount.
@whocares78 You appear to be very much on my wavelength when it comes to Valhalla. I’ll wait for a sale. It’s $35 CAD regular price: just for the single expansion.
Does the DLC contribute in any meaningful way to AC lore or the modern day story?
@ghostagent14 Thank you. Based on some of the comments in that thread, and a couple of the ones in this thread, I’ll wait for a sale.
Is there a general consensus as to the state of Wrath of the Druids?
I haven’t played Valhalla in months, but my Internet is laggy today so I’m taking a break from my usual game. The River Raids (which I hadn’t done yet) are not very inspiring so far.
I’m wondering if Wrath of the Druids is worth it or not. Admittedly, my Valhalla experience has been pretty mediocre (especially compared to Origins and Odyssey).
@asgardian02 lol. It is.
I’m a very reactive person, and I’d rather not be banned from the forum.
@patricia81994 Normally I really like you, but that came across as pretty nasty. I’m going to refrain from biting back, but next time I won’t hold my tongue.
Edit: I’ve just chosen to block you, so next time I just won’t see it.
