A game breaking bug is a pretty big issue for reviewers to be dealing with days before release. Odyssey had a game breaking bug that cost at least one forum member 100 hours of gameplay.
Thankfully this has been reported. Hopefully it will be fixed ASAP. I value my time. Ego isn’t a consideration.
I’ve got around 200 hours in Origins, and I’m at 1000+ with Odyssey. I played all other AC games except the first one: with varying levels of engagement.
Valhalla is among the least rewarding and the most boring. I don’t dislike it (as I dislike Black Flag). I just don’t care about it. I’m at around 12 hours in Valhalla, and I’ve really no desire to continue playing.
Yup. This is dreadful.
I can’t just quickly scroll through the post titles. And, being that post content is displayed on the main page, it is going to be more difficult to avoid spoilers: which has been a big problem over the last few weeks.
edit: I just checked the settings, and there appears to be no way to turn off the post preview.
A low reply? Your post is offensive to Scots. Norwegian Vikings may not be Danes, but Scots are NOT “Scotch.” Whether English is your first language or not is irrelevant. You have been informed.
Don’t cry about one group of people being mislabelled, when you mislabel another.
@viem While it is a voluntary process, it is one that is very biased against the consumer. Steam is the only platform that is even remotely on the side of the consumer (they gave me a refund for “No Man’s Sky” after I had downloaded it, played it, and deemed it crap). Sony has only sided with consumers as a retaliatory step against a developer.
Until I can say “This game sucks. I want a refund,” or, “The armour I paid extra money for did not come in at the advertised tier. I want a refund,” the process it anti-consumer.
Supper was half an hour late while I completed this one.

@kreutzgang I typed it all up while I was watching the U.S. inauguration. I’ve actually been meaning to do it for a while. I think it would be fun to learn that someone had hired my Jomsviking, but there’s no way to find out. At least there’s now a written record of the ones I’ve hired (minus the people who appeared to use their real first and last names in their user names).
I've recruited 33 other players' Jomsvikings. The only thing I look at is the player's ID.
I don't recruit any Jomsviking where the user name has "Guest" as the first part of it anymore. I figure those people most likely can't be bothered to create a Ubisoft account, so they're probably not interested in anything beyond the actual story content of the game.
I don't recruit "CachouMTL's" Jomsvikings: because of the bug.
I've recruited Jomsvikings from:
show_stoppa (Kata the White) - Friend

I think that's all of them. There could be some typos in there. There really are two "Ergi-Impaler" Jomsvikings side by side in my barracks.
I didn't recruit any of them because of how they looked (though I did choose not to recruit one basically naked really big one, as I found him hard on the eyes). Most of them are wearing in-game armour.
Their outfits change, too. The ones that I have on my ship keep the same name, but occasionally wind up equipped differently. It looks like their appearances are updated when the player who owns the Jomsviking changes the gear. It wouldn't make sense to recruit them because of how they look.
My Jomsviking is Ofridr Sneak-Thief. He's decked out in the Mentor's set right now, with dual daggers, but that will change again.
I'm hoping I'll be able to utilize more of them with the river raids.
@asgardian02 So, it is either a cross-save issue, or I'm losing my mind.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for a cross-save issue.
Cross-save isn't without it's issues, but I'm so glad that it has been implement that I'll forgive them all (even the bugged achievements).
When I clear the map, I clear everything on the map: no matter how inconsequential.
Every single small chest in Portcestre is lit up on the map again. I'm convinced that I already cleared all of the chests in Portcestre. I distinctly remember making a trip back to get the small chests. This has happened in other areas, too.
Are these things respawning? If not, could this be a cross-save (PC/Xbox) issue?
Hopefully I'm not losing my mind. I'm at an age where that is becoming an increasingly likely probability.
@crazybone992 If I want to play a timing/button mashing game, I’ll play a drinking game. Lol.
The challenge in a successful assassination, IMO, should be setting it up. To have an assassination fail after perfectly setting it up is total BS to me.
I was hesitant to use it at first too, and for the same reason as you. But, it’s the one thing from the olde4 games that I really missed. It seemed silly (to me) for me to pass up the opportunity to use something I’d been missing.
