Honestly, my biggest advice is focus not on in-game stats but on how particular games feel - are they super challenging or are you having a breeze?
A lot of people get stuck in the ranked, comparative mindset where it's like, oh I'm silver thus I must be bad, if I get to plat/diamond whatever, I'll be "good"- we all have matches that we play well in and matches we didn't do so well in (whether we're willing to admit that or not lol). The goal should be improving at the rate that the average game you play is just challenging enough not to be frustrating or demoralizing. It isn't about being better than x or y- just feeling confident in your own ability.
The ping diff would probably be killer (#oce) but I'd be happy to play with you in Apex if you wanted someone non-judgmental to practice/improve with
I played Far Cry 4 years ago and recently re-played it. What a great game, soundtrack was great, story was good, Pagan’s a good and interesting character and the location is just beautiful. I tried playing Far Cry 5 for the first time a couple days ago and I simply could not play it. After playing the first 2 hours, I uninstalled. 5 doesn’t seem like a far cry game. I am playing Far Cry 6 at the moment, which is great - huge improvement from 5. But it’s definitely fair to say 3, 4 & 6 are better than 5 in my opinion.
Everything is out to murder you in Far Cry 2. The game is crushing in every way possible and the most grounded in reality game in the series. It’s the only one to really go all out in the idea that you’re struggling to survive. Each enemy encounter is legitimately lethal. If you run, they will absolutely hunt you down. Your weapons can jam in the middle of combat and cost you your life. I adore the use of diamonds as currency, it gives real incentive to explore the dangerous world. If you wanna look at the map, your character literally has to pull it out. Driving then becomes a literal challenge if you wanna read the map and drive. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen in another game. The environment just oozes misery and death. The bleak colors, the use of sound, its terrifying when you explore not knowing if someone’s gonna open fire on you when you turn the corner. Why aren’t more games like this?
