Upto 60% Off!
Except nothing at all available in my Helix Store for Valhalla is even close to 60% off. Most everything is a measley 10% off.
Also, price point for an electronic good with no value aside from cosmetic, for the most part, is far beyond the cost for production and distribution.
I personally do not mind paying a little extra as a way to help support the developers of a game I enjoy and to show them ongoing appreciation, but I have been refraining from making any additional purchases simply because the cost is exorbitant.
You take too much advantage of people perception of money by converting things into 'HeliX Credits' as opposed to making them a straight up cash purchase. Simply because you know the human mind is deficient on making that conversion quickly and easily. Its predatory and you should stop.
You should probably just list everything in its real dollar cost AND I would say reduce everything to essentially a dollar or packs for $5. You may make up in volume the sales you aren't making now due to pricing extremely out of scale with value.
@kmarkopl did I, at any point, indicate I was being forced to buy something?
I merely indicate that their 'Sale' touting up to 60% off had nothing at close to 60% off.
Further I then described how the business model that they have chosen is one that is not only designed to be exploitative, but that they might actually make more if they choose to re-think their model and make it actual 'Micro' transactions instead of the present macro transactions. That as a consumer I _AM_ willing to pay more than the purchase price of the product for consemtic enhancements and outfits. That I feel it is a means by which I can support the game/developers by optionally paying more for the product and express that I like/enjoy/support their work. The means though they provide to do this are intentionally deceptive and predatory.
First, read some literature on the subject. The conversion of real currency to an 'in game' currency is done specifically to divorce the customer from a direct understanding of the cost of the product they are buying. This is done intentionally and is deceptive and exploitative.
Tell me, without reading ahead, how much a 2000 Helix Credit item costs in real currency....
You likely can't.
The 'Best Value' in Helix Credits is 6600 Helix Credits at $50 dollars US. That would put the exchange rate of Helix to Us Currency at 132 to one.
Thus a 2000 Helix pack, which are just cosmetics with a single time cost for production, duplicated endlessly at virtually no cost to the manufacturer, costs the consumer $15.15.
It gets incresingly more expensive the fewer credits you buy at one time. For example, but the minimum Helix bundle necessary to purchase a 2000 Helix pack will cost you $20 and net you 2300 Helix. The exchange rate is then 115 to one. The cost for this 2000 Helix pack jumps from $15.15 to $17.39 ( Or $15.65 at 10% off)
That is a not a 'Micro Transaction'. Its a significant chunk of change but the value of which is hidden behind currency exchanges.
There is significant amount of study done on how this simple mechanism short circuits the average person's understanding of how much money they are paying for a good/service. That they (Ubi) do it, is evidence of a desire to manipulate and deceive customers in a manner that is very profitable, or do you not pay attention to their earnings calls etc.?
My point was that they could likely charge significantly less, and not hide this behind deceptive practices, and still make a profit and, perhaps by increasing the scale of the consumer base by making the transactions actually cheaper, true 'Micro-Transactions', make as much or more than they currently make.
No one is being forced to buy these things. They have no intrinsic value in the game itself, so the pricing model is predatory. Advertising a 'Sale' on top of it, promising up to 60% off, with nothing actually listed at 60% off, is an additionally deceptive practice done entirely to lure someone into making a purchase they wouldn't if they knew the actual cost of their purchase. 10% off a pack? Your 'Charlamagne Pack' now costs you $13.64 if you bought the 'best value' Helix pack of $15.65 if you purchased the minimum number of Helix to buy it.
Still exorbitant for what it is, some minor cosmetics with a single initial cost to produce, duplicated infinitely with next to no cost.
What it demonstrates is a very consumer unfriendly attitude on the part of Ubisoft and any other company that creates these or worse, lootboxes.
I understand they are in the market to make money. I've no problem with the concept of Capitalism. I do though take umbrage at this model.
So, just got the new 'Libertad Custom SSGP-58' Overclocked Assault Rifle.
I am unable to purchase the Mk. 2 Extended Mag
It says to acquire Supremo from Juan or a Sales lackey. I already have all the Supremos
Just in case I added the Rifle ammo pouch to a Supremo but this had no effect.
I can;t seem to figure out what it wants me to do and I don't think there is anything I can do.
While not screenshoted, I have checked Juan's store bench as well as gone to the various sales lackeys, no availability of the Mk. 2 Extended Magazine.
I believe this is a bug.
@slim5oh I've been playing since the start, not a single crash. I also haven't seen 'thousands of PC players' complaining about crashes.
I'm not saying they aren't, but when you don't have the data, please don't misrepresent your argument. Adding lies to hyperbole does no one any good.
Did you do the usual? Make sure all your video crad drivers, sound drivers, etc were all up to date? Did you try doing a 'cleaning' boot without loading all sorts of third party applications at the start and give things a go?
Same here, just adding my voice to help give visibility to the issue.
In my case, I never really used the Spartan Bow (I didn't get moonlight because.. don't get to go to Ubisoft Events/Conventions) so it has little consequence outside of annoyance.
@karloz1995 This is patently untrue. If you would like to assert so, you will need to bring some proof to the table. That said proof doesn't presently exist, you are going to shake up a lot of historians.
There are two _nearly_ contemporaneous sources. Josephus and Tacitus and neither is considered completely reliable and certain to be referring to Christ from the Gospels, though there is more belief in Josephus' two passages. By historical standards though, neither is considered a home run, nor absolute proof of existence.
These archives you reference, do not exist, in respect to Jesus called Christ.
I don't know Rollo but I do know Romans. Please don't claim proof where none exists.
Personally, I am reasonably certain someone or someones existed at this time, and helped form a movement/narrative of different spiritual understanding of man's relationship to their deity. I would posit that it is likely influenced by exposure to trade routes that most certainly existed to the far east, especially Buddhist teachings which were around for hundreds of years prior to Christianity. (6th Century BCE). I am as near positive as I can be that this person or persons WAS NOT the child of God, as I am also 99.99999% positive God does not exist. (I am an agnostic and know I can't know, prove/disprove the existence of god but I'm right on that border of Atheism).
That said, the teaching in Matthew 5 to 7 and Luke verses 17 to 49 are, for the most part, a seismic shift in Western thought and religion. They are, for the most part, admirable and good. It troubles me though that such a large proportion of our species seems incapable of maintainign an ethical and morally just life without also needing to have reaosnable fear of everlasting punishment or promise of untold 'riches' in an afterlife to do so.
So, I am certainly no 'Jesus Hater' and I am not trying to be mean to you here, just stating historical fact.
There exists no proof that Jesus lived as portrayed in the modern bible, let alone even many of the non-canonical gospels, etc. This is a fact, and if you wish to dispute it, you are going to have to provide your sources.
The Spear (and other pole weapon variants) was the weapon of choice for most all warriors and remained as such through most all of our history of armed, hand to hand, combat. Swords are the backup weapon for battle, they were for when your spear was no longer available/useful.
Swords as the primary weapon are an artifact of myth and mythologizing of the past that even occurred contemporaneously. Generally, they were the weapons of chieftains etc.until the general level of iron working and mass production of swords made it a possibility that more could carry it, but even then, they were primarily a backup in massed warfare.
Certainly, I found the lack of one handed swords a bummer. I like swords too. But if you are going to write a long post on the subject, please review and reeducate yourself.
@skylinee87 It's crashing in consoles as well, not using nvidia hardware.
Hey There, I was one of those having issues with the Sigrblot Festival both because of the missing Foreign Supplies (Hotfix Remedied) and also getting all the way to the end with just a sliver remaining but no open quests.
I am not 100% sure of the cause of that last, but I guessed it was because I was missing getting credit for something as I did it before I had the quest, but it counted for the various quests, but didn't give me credit? If that makes sense?
When I had started the festival before I talked to someoen and completed a quest before visiting the boat. Along the way fetching pigs I had gotten an animal part before it was suggested to me to do so, never even knew it was a requirement. May have been other things like that.
So, my suggestion if you are having issues.
Start at the boat. Pick one corner at a time and do everything listed before doing anything else. Note as well, across the path from the boat, towards the festival grounds, is a fourth pillar/carving., don't forget that one.
When I did it this way, finishing each pillars subquests without doing anything but JUST the requirements for each subquest I got to the end with no problems.
Just in case that is helpful for folks
@ubi-mark I believe mine are in the cloud.
@ubi-milky I am running the latest updates and still have not received the Pagan Min vehicle Chibi. Saves are in the cloud.
Edit to add: The game shows me on the collections screen that it added the chibi just recently. But its not available on the 'Rides' screen/dashboard props.
I'm having problems attaching screenshots, I control+v a screenshot but it says my post needs to be shorter than 40,000 characters.
@ubi-dino I am on PC and I was not seeing 'credit' for the acions in either the game or in the ubisoft connect client. It seems though it resolved itself. I logged in today and was able to collect my rewards for challenges completed yesterday.
So some weird long delay between completing the action and seeing it acknowledged and rewarded.
@fudz4 I logged in this morning and everything updated correctly. So, some weird long delay between completing and registering it completed in Ubisoft Connect and triggering the reward.
@enkidu98
Appears this issue is affecting me in Valhalla as well. I attempted the challenges for the Crescent scyth (made multiple kills, nothng registered), mead breath, mead festival, and the dice master challenges, none of them are incrementing.
I'm connected through Ubisoft Connect, when i close the game everything updates/syncs in the cloud, I'm just not getting credit for doing things.
Rebooted the system, reconnected to Ubisoft Connect, no change, challenges are not updating.
@ubi-milky I have the same issue and it appears to be affecting Far Cry 6 as well, where I have really spotty updating for Ubi Connect challenges.
In Far Cry 6 the challenge to kill soldiers with a companion counted to 24 but is not updating further.
The challenge to get a vehicle machete kill does not advance at all.
In Valhalla:
crescent Sun
Mead Festival
Mead Breath
Dice Master all have not advanced though I won a game of orlog, won a drinking contest and have killed four enemies (when one was all that was needed)
This weeks challenge for moneda.
I've done lots of them, not registering. The Companion taking down an enemy soldier is registering/incrementing upwards as I perform them, so not some sort of connectivity issue.
I've tried from foot, from horseback, from atv, from jeep, and a truck. 'f to hijack' has me hijack, stab the driver with my machete, but no credit.
I have the same issue. No eagles are counting for me.
There was a patch this morning ( may have been released earlier but applied for me this morning) and the Yule festival worked fine now.
@ubi-keo
Hello,
My current save is synced to the cloud and I do not have the Yule festival. Not that huge a deal since I completed it once already, but since you added new rewards I would like to obtain them.
As others have noted, this is the issue. If you already performed it once, with your first iteration, the second iteration (current) does not appear.
I have no save files from prior to 'reload' as I am packed for space so once I complete a game/finish all the initial content, I delete out all the old saves except for one which i use to continue on with new content/DLCs.
