I am one of those people who are very careful and always have a backup manual save to fall back on. In this particular situation I kind of spent 300+ hours completing all of the wealth, mysteries and artifacts on the map, and then followed the main quest line to this arc before discovering that 'Hundbeorht's Brooch' is in my inventory when it is not supposed to be. As a result of this I can not complete the quest 'In the Absence of an Ealdorman' even if I load my manual save from before I started this arc. I would need to go back to my manual save when I arrived in England as I just overwrote my file while I explored. I have played every Assassin's Creed game and I have never run into a problem like this one. There are many bugs in Assassin's Creed Valhalla for me, all of which I have found a work around for. It's a shame that the solution to this problem is to replay a free roaming game without free roaming.

@ujellynelly I am one of the many people who looted 'Hundbeorht's Brooch' while free roaming the map and now the quest 'In the Absence of an Ealdorman' is broken and can not be completed.

I regularly overwrote all of my exploration save points as I progressed (because I did not imagine that a fine company like Ubisoft would make such a game breaking mistake as this one) and the only practical manual save file that I can load would be my 'Welcome to England' file which would cause me to lose way too much progression, game play, and time, making it a non-viable solution. I even obtained my 'Completionist All the Way!' trophy in the process of free roaming this game (which means I completed all of the Wealth, Mysteries, and Artifacts on the map) so you can understand my dilemma.

Please let me know if and when you are going to fix this issue as I would like to continue playing this awesome game of yours a.s.a.p. - Thank you

ps. I have learned that this quest is bugged in several other ways also so you really need to fix it!

@aerial_arts In the december issue of gameinformer they have a big article on ACV that only mentions small issues with the game so you may have a legitimate point here.

Every time I turn on my ps4 the first thing I do is look at the notifications to see if there is a ACV patch to fix 'In the Absence of an Ealdorman'. There are a lot of problems with this game but that one is keeping me from playing it. I sever seen anything worst than Fallout 76 until now.

@l0stw0lf I found only one avenge player quest also. I am playing on ps4. There was a small marker on a corpse and it prompted me to kill 3 soldiers who killed him (same as Assassin's Creed Origins iirc). I am max level have played a while. ps. missing Big Mackerel and big Flatfish still.

@orcbeard92 What bothers me the most is that I spent a lot of time acquiring my perfect crew and now they are all like my jomsviking... reset.

5/4/22 Today is the 5th time that I only recieved one mission from Reda since the Ostara Festival started (-25 opals). I am hoping that it fixes itself after the event is over. I am going to post everytime this happens tho... getting reimbursed would be nice

@haggy51 I am having the same issue on ps4 (day 4) Reda's Ultimate Challenge not updating on Ubisoft Connect Time-Limited Challenges. This is frustrating because it's not the only issue with Opals as Reda is randomly only giving one daily quest since the last patch.

I am not going to get the 50 opals this week as 'Reda's Ultimate Challenge' never worked correctly for me (I will not receive my weekly reward as a result also). Every day I completed the challenges he gave me but none gave me credit towards that challenge. What are you going to do about this? Either you can't fix it or you won't. I am a customer of yours who is very unhappy with your product. What bothers me more is that it's working for some people from what I've heard. If it wasn't working for every one it would be more acceptable and you could easily make amends. I am pretty sure you can't reimburse just the ones who were set back as a result of this. I am so sick of this game

About an hour ago Ubisoft Connect was working and then it stopped updating. I was in the process of completing my weekly challenges but its not working now. I am on PS4

It's the next day and it's working now!

@ubi-auron Thanks for responding. I am playing Far Cry 6 on PS4. I play all 3 character slots on Far Cry 6. I have beaten the game twice and am working on the third play through. I log on to my older game files for the insurgency missions every week. Both of my older files lost all of their gasoline, but my newest file didn't (yet?). After observing my resources everyday I realized that this problem only happened once (to both of my older files) and at the same time. Since it seems to be an isolated issue I'm okay with closing the petition. I'm sure there are more important things you need to address other than this issue. Thanks again for responding.

'My gasoline disappears' everytime I log in. I have completed the game on this file and am attempting to obtain new items and complete insurgency missions. It is very discouraging as I need the gasoline to do Los Badidos missions. I am playing on PS4. Please look into this issue - Thank you

@thenorfolkian Reda's Ultimate Challenge (previous Ubisoft weekly challenge) didn't work for me so I lost out on 50 opals (and my weekly
completion reward), every week there are random days where one of Reda's quests are missing, and recently I completed the Isle of Sky expansion and looted all of the opals, but somehow the game didn't register one of my opals so I have an uneven amount now. It seems like all of my complaints have 'opal' in it. I wish we could just buy them from the merchants in the game already.

REDA STILL ONLY GIVES ONE QUEST A DAY!!! Ever since patch 1.5.1 Reda randomly gives only one quest instead of two. This is annoying because I look foward to purchasing things with these opals and 5 or 10 a day is not enough. I imagine Ubisoft is well aware of the problem, but they are not doing anything about it. The armory (bandoleer) was a nice addition to this game, but it's just like you to release something new without fixing the game first. On Odyssey I could purchase everything (with effort) and on Far Cry 6 I can get everything on the black market (with effort) but this game is ridiculous! You will never be able to purchase everything on Assassin's Creed Valhalla and it doesn't help that obtaining the currency to do so doesn't work properly.

This is the 6th time I only received one daily mission from Reda since the Ostara Festival (Patch?). Hopefully it doesn't happen anymore after it's over. I have tried everything (rebooting, checking other quest givers, changing zones, etc.) but since this event started it doesn't matter, if there is only one quest on the Reda quest giver, it's all I am getting that day. Every time I only get one daily mission I come here and post.I feel like I am talking to a wall because I have had not one response!!!
