Yippee!
That is exactly what I was looking for come Xmas time for my proper GR experience.
Man, I just love the Studio and the Company behind it. They sure know how to listen to the community.
Who's berating whom now.
Message to The Ubisoft Team
The Ubisoft Team has shown over and over again they care about their community/players.
Aaaand there is where I had to stop but Welcome to the forums.
I'm sorry but, how does Flatline being kicked down and support for BP being halted reflects or translates in any way, shape or form in them listening to the community? My vote goes more to the Pitches & Fork producing the why Flatline was kicked down and well, if most of you didn't forecast that there was not going to be a Y3 support you have no one else to blame but yourselves. Really!!!
That is NOT called Listening, anywhere in the world that is what is known as Reacting!
Have they said that in any other social media circuit? I ask this because last thing we heard from the CMs here was my banning and the introduction of a Code of Conduct mambo jambo that they don't even police, only when is convenient for them or whomever is behind the tall tale.
The only thing that I believe the jury is still out is on whether it is TRUE that there is another AAA GR in the works and I can't help but wonder, yet again... why hasn't Delta being called on it? or are we going to play the same old song that by the time Delta got involved the game was already 2 years in the making and it would be impossible to change? I guess the Jury's also out on that one.
At any rate, this is what happens when they respect and listen to the community... a big wet nothing.
@dagrommit
Sorry but #1 has ZERO to do with #2 but to each his/her own and your prerogative.
If they don't listen, or have only a selective hearing when feedback has been explained in their own forums (eloquently or otherwise) are you actually telling the community here that they will from one of the most vague or general question in a Survey?
Rhetorical Q, no need to answer it.
Just wanted to drop my two cents here. I'm a fan of military game, so I decided to give Breakpoint a shot.
Today I have maybe 30 mins to play a little, but what am I doing? Starting a thread to let Ubisoft know I will never buy another game from you guys. I used to like them, I gave this one a chance. Turns out I can't play the game I paid for offline? Between the woke bs, the ridiculous monetization and this, I really, really from the bottom of my heart hope you guys go bankrupt. I wish this on you and any other company that uses these consumer unfriendly tactics. I do not know what you guys are thinking, but this is not smart. I will never buy another one of your games.
I just got 3 copies for me to play with my friends. I regret very few purchases, but this one is close to the top. Enjoy the last you'll see of me ..I.
You know, as much as I despise Ubisoft and the gimmicky ways of doing business, this one is on you my friend. Jotted down to your own fault, take it on the chin and learn to be a smarter consumer... it will go a long way and it will serve you well into the future.
With today's information at your fingertips, it would have taken you less than 5 minutes (from the 30 minutes you had) to find out that the game was AN ALWAYS ONLINE GAME!
I know, I know, it shouldn't be but because of the lack of spine and nutsack in society now a days, caring more about what the Kardashians are doing and which part of their anatomy they are showing and not caring about what Laws that will hurt us the Govt is pushing out, we have people like UBI and plenty of other Companies running a mock.
I am sure that next time, you will be more careful, take your time to read about what you are buying and if it is a chinese item, most of them are, at least buy it from the Company that has some sort of quality control instead that from the Chinese Company directly because they have none. In your case, UBI is the direct Chinese Co so you are right that we must stay away from them until they decide to comeback to Paris, grow a pair and make games and not just gimmicks.
Something tells me Putin wasn't putting (no pun intended) a lot of thought with some or most of the issues that were going to arise by Russia Invading Ukraine. FIFA (World Cup) or Ubisoft with the Motherland DLC being some of them.
Sad truth is, most Russians don't want this but I'm sure they will get chastised and seen as the bad guys either way.
If only we had someone in the white house with strong presence, someone that may have been able to stop this before it escalated to where it has gone now. Now all we can hope is that NATO steps in w/o turning it into WW3.
@IMTUTT I understand but this was the advertisement that they was marketing before the game release was it not? If it wasn't going to be the game in that matter why market the game like its realism and keeping us on our toes. This Is what they told us. When we play the game all of sudden it's not what they were saying the game is about. They slowly trying to get it to where it is for the game we want. Wildlands just needed some grooming and some things added to Wildlands that is on breakpoint. They fooled many of us. It'd a reason why they trying to make it into our liking but it's just not there yet. They make motherlands which is great but it knocks you back when you fully beat it. Because now there's hardly any Russians to fight. I play motherlands to fight Russians not to see rebels more then the bad guys. Keep the same amount or add more bad guys. Example like fallen ghost DLC. you beat the game but they still have the same attitude of aggression and etc. Even after you beat it.
Again, and unfortunately for you and many of us, the Company invests Millions on dollars in making sure they can lie, cheat and steal money from the consumer by making video trailers that bare nothing similar to the game but the characters if that , we can not call it illegal (even if that is exactly what it is) because they pay Millions (again) to law makers to pass laws that make sure they are allowed to do so while coloring a bit outside the line.
They have ceased to be a Gaming Company and all they are now is a shell of what they were before, they motto is to work the least while making sure it is presentable enough to be able to charge full price and until the consumer does not realize that and stop pre-ordering and even ordering when it launches, they will continue to rob you and other of your hard earned money.
Being said that, if one is a gamer from a few years, and with all the info outthere, one can't really blame them if you fall into their trap, not that much anyways... we need to learn to do our homework before we purchase, any game from Ubisoft or any other company for that matter
@mars388502
Seriously and honestly, how many an eloquent post have we seen here and let alone in the old forum (which it will be the excuse as to the why they need our feedback now, bookmark this post) on how the next game should be?
The same simple reason we are at each other's throats right now is because we are just talking to ourselves and there is not even an echo to speak off.
Without a two way dialogue like Blue eloquently wrote, and not from Him or any other CM here (no insult whatsoever) but from someone in the Studio that can come here and man up about it, we will continue to just have a place to bicker about it and make things even harder for them to see what we want but in the end, and as always, it will be their fault.
I also have a funny feeling that this is what they want so they can have the excuse that the feedback is not clear or hard to get to.
Based on what we have seen so far and more so by the fact that they have been arrogant and even insulting the community about it by what they said, I do see the NFTs as defining the future of the game and even worse than what they tried to do with BP.
That the game would be bad and even worse with the inclusion of NFT is also almost palpable because they have yet to show the community anything about it and or include them in the path they want to take and well, that is never a good sign... saying that the ship can be swerved afterwards will not be accepted and too late to cry over how much potential it has.
@steven527
Don't judge them too harshly, year 3 content may still turn this around.
Oh wait!!!
Nevermind!
Again, not your fault for wanting things you have seen in other games, it is 100% the fault of the Studio because instead of concentrating on what the Franchise was all about, they decided to crap ALL over it by using ALL of the different Genres they can poke and stick at it.
Now, the fact of the matter is that this game is not 6 feet under but so deep that you can't get to it so we are just talking for the sake of writing something on this also dead forum.
The Forum, the franchise, the Studio and the Company are so dead or dying that they even decided to Nuke Delta which it wasn't even costing them anything... that's how bad the situation is at the moment. Servers are hemorrhaging and they don't know how to contain them. They should do themselves a favor and offer the Company for 20 cents on the dollar hoping that someone will pick it up and do the right thing... either put it back to its glory (about 2 decades ago) or junk it and make money in the long run.
But hey, bring it the Bows and the motorcycle shooting because... why not! @tanjodang
The whole month of June was the month from hell so I definitely needed a good laugh... Thanks so much Mike!
Being the negative guy that I am to me this road is crystal clear and there is no need for them to communicate anymore. At least NOT until they have grow that spine and sack they have been lacking as of late and really decide to get some communication going for the next title. Well, hoping that they are not a year or 2 from launch because then, we are back to square - 100
Lack of posting here in the forum... apparently this IS NOT their official forum.
Lack of posting in their own social media place that they love to post
The servers are acting up at any given moment of the day, week & month
They disband Delta, not that it mattered to the game or franchised much one way or the other but it goes to show how blurry their vision is.
They are gasping at straws at this point is my feeling. Posting on twitter asking which GR people like most is kinda dumb in my opinion because they won't gauge anything if only the Lemmings or Casuals go to twitter and they all say GRFS as an example or WL just because they never played OGR and the Expansions or GRAW I & II and only 3 people say OGR & the Expansions.
But again, this is probably because of my negativity and disdain for their stupidity and their way of doing business while ruining what once was a great franchise. Yeah, I am jaded!.
@Kean_1
A potentially good concept that never had a chance.
Yep, much like their games as of late.
Well, I may be the only one who thinks different but the involvement of Delta with all the different persons liking different Genres and giving their feedback (wrong as it was for the GR Genre) made me more suspicious than the what will happened now w/o Delta.
In the end, this is more of the same from Ubi so I am not surprised at all. BP was a flop with the involvement of Delta, even if it came after the facts, then they see the flop and decide that making Xdefecation + Flatline will steer the Titanic in the right direction. UBI doesn't need Delta, they can destroy anything they touch w/o Delta's (or the community it seems) help.
Ha! I was just going to say ... W -T - F dude, Alligators in Aurora? Nah, that has to be photoshop but Ok, I know where those images could be from LOL
Good one!
Delta was a failed concept as much as Breakpoint was a Ghost Recon game... not an insult to any of you guys but the Studio botched it by creating it on too many different Genres.
As long as they don't see and learn that to be true, the next Ghost Recon game (if its true that we will see it) will be another abomination. Huge potential and fun to play but glaring and childish as BP and the worse part will be that it will be another Non-GR game.
@tanjodang I like weapons, features, and atmosphere that feels like it could be real, but isn't. Far Cry is a bit too goofy for me.
And there is nothing wrong with that, as I stated before.
Now, there is a place and a time for everything, an etiquette so to speak and this is true for pretty much everything in life.
For instance, you would not go to a wedding where the invitation says Formal Dress with Kicks, shorts and a tank top. For the same reason you don't want to get into a Mature tactical game where 4 to 7 people in a team needs to deal with a Cartel or a Siege with hundreds of bad guys using a Bow, nor you want yourself getting kill on your first hour by riding a motorcycle shooting bad guys because as good as you are as a Tier 1 Operator and as bad as the bad guys could be, if 10 of the spray you with bullets, 1 of them will possibly hit you so, if you are pretending to be one of them, you will want to be a GHOST so to speak, this way, you nuke an entire camp or base but nobody is the wiser nor know who the hell did that... that was pretty much the premise of the game and franchise.
And even though this is a game, we can still have some reality within the game world. The issue here is that the Studio and the Studio Big Wigs, the one that make the big bucks probably came from games like Rocksmith, Just Dance, Mario +Rabbid Sparks, Beyond Good & Evil, Zeit, Rayman and some other Fantasy child world so they have been watering down the Mature Franchise that once was into this Mixed Salad of Genres that nobody know what exactly they are playing now.
Don't get me wrong, like any other Ubi product, it has potential, huge or humongous potential but that is where it will stay and history is a good measure for facts.
300K to him is pretty much what $7.97 was for me (well, not really because I am still [censored] off that I spent that much on this Turd) but it won't make the Company, let alone the studio any richer/poorer nor more intelligent/dummier.
Add this to the issues with the Server, the Forums, Connect NOT connecting because of the Servers or a bug/glitch and this Company needs to die (mercifully of course) or sell assets to someone else... quick!
Not even Red Storm Studios, which by the way lost their main Geniuses, can't or won't make a decent GR game if this guy is in charge of it. They need to grow a spine and get back to making games and not just money the easy way as even the most gullible UBI fans are not that gullible any more. There are still the Hardcore gullible for sure but they are only a few.
I think this game is practically perfect, except it doesn't have these two features. See the Far Cry series for a game that has bows and shooting on motorcyles, another Ubisoft game. I love bows. I buy games specifically because they have bows. I know Ghost Recon is more tactical so maybe bows won't fit but I mean we have Terminator weapons and killer scifi drones and stuff. And grenades that let us see through walls. I can see someone saying go play Far Cry to get these features but that game doesn't have as good of character creation, and I prefer the Splinter Cell type gameplay and story elements of Ghost Recon :). So yeah just wanted to request these two features that I've wanted in this game for a long time. By bows I mean compound / recurve bows, not crossbows like Wildlands. But both would be cool. All bows. With mods, like sights, stabilizer, quiver, arrow heads like all the different types of broadheads. And--why not--grappling arrows with parachord...? Anyway my dreams. I would gladly pay for the DLC that included these items.
I don't blame the OP for this because it is his prerogative to ask for things of this nature due to the fact that the game is full of other assets that, well, shouldn't belong in it but this is one of the reasons why I hate the Studio and what they have done with the Franchised. They turned it into a Rated "* G *" fantasy world game.
I do have to wonder why would one want to have the same assets on different games though. Not judging, just wondering, more so when one (Far Cry) has been converted into a Fantasy/Adventure Shooter and Ghost Recon was supposed to be a Mature Rated M squad based tactical shooter... 2 different genres. Of course with the introduction of Harry Potter Invisibility, Mythological creatures, Gear Score and Pixie dust scenarios, perhaps I can understand why.
@Eagleyezx In the Milsim space, people play Breakpoint over Wildlands. I think it's because it looks more realistic graphically, it has improved mechanics and animations.
I don't know, perhaps because I pay very little attention to graphics and animations I can't agree with you or most people here. I do have heard it time and time again and while I respect it I just can't see it.
@Eagleyezx Wildlands has everything else better.
Well, perhaps but WL needs more maturity, the teammate invisibility and the pixie dust is one of the things that I have never been able to wrap my head around and one thing I fought since launch. Most people disagree with me right until the end, when support ended and none of the Mature Requested things came to fruition.
@Eagleyezx Fcac, why don't you join us on the Gmoney discord? It's a chilled out community, most of us play Arma 3.
I welcome and thank you for the invitation, I am a hermit even though it may not seem like it because of how loud I am in the forum and it was not until last year that I started playing Co-Op with 1 and then 2 guys, that I can say we have become good friends, even outside discord or Wilddlands. I don't have ARMA 3 and at this point in time, I am going thru some much crap that I gotta deal with that first before I get to play or even feel like playing any game to be honest but hey, I will take a rain check if that is ok.
