I don't understand why they would have done that.
As history teaches us - if you see something and don't understand why it was done....it was done because of this....
It can be its shortage or pursuit.
But this is the answer.
......let me guess, your idea of ‘real Vikings’ is the Vikings tv series? Lol!
People want something more dark and scary.
Something that will give them goosebumps.
Even bears.....
Or something unusual.
Extraordinary.
Like an anomaly.
As for Vikings series......
It was not bad. It was even good.
Series that increased interest in the Vikings, making them more alive.
We can only say thanks to this series. But not laugh.
Even regarding to the next Assassin's Creed Rift, as rumors say, how respectful was muslim culture shown, in the series.
That Floki scene in the mosque....
@likeapresident
Yes. Without Love .....what a good story can be without love?!
Something will be missed.
You can live your life without love - but your life won't be as rich as it could be.
You can make the game without love - but your game.......
Far Cry 3 has love story.
May be this also contributed to the popularity of the game???
Love story may happen in the most unsuitable conditions for this.
It the most hard conditions.
During Guerrilla Warfare as well.
Just let's remember history, at least......
Fidel and Celia.
Raul and Vilma.
Che and Aleida.
A game with a love thread will always look more advantageous than the same game without it.
Money also has no real hard assets to back up their value.
If the rich people of the world suddenly decide to buy something with all their money....they simply won't be able to do that.
Because there're no so many goods.
Most of the money is just soap bubbles.
Nothing is backing up their value.
One day all this will collapse!
Collapse is coming......
Great Economic Crisis.
Crisis of Capitalism.
Too much money.
It creates disballance.
Too much money carriers. Too much nouveau riche.
"Old money" families started hunting the "new money"
It's called Anti-Laundering.
Cryptocurrency is the way to escape it.
Crypto - is nothing but gold for the poor.
Anti-Laundering and Cryptocurrency - cadaverous spots on the body of Capitalism.
The ending will start soon. The Agony.
2023-2025.
Ubi.....
Before that you have to grow and grow, generating more and more money.
Everything that contribute to this is good.
But at the right moment you'll need to react correctly.
For not to find yourself without nothing.
Realistic or immersive mod would be good.
It will spur those who didn't want to play the game before.
It can be a plus for sales.
@virtual-chris
10. Use only fists
11.Only crouch.
12.Don't breathe....
Challenge in the game should be developed by developers initially.
Otherwise it will be nothing but exercising in masochism.
The thread looks a bit like this.......
Don't quarrel, people!
There're good side quests.
Even philosophical.
I liked this one!
"The Infinite Noise of Men"
She is really beautiful.
I don't understand people who say the opposite.
.... it is not worth wasting time, such as rogue or syndacate,...
Who told you that Syndicate and Rogue are bad games?!
Your personal opinion?
Syndicate was amazing game.
London during Industrial Revolution was incomparable.
Thames Embankment, steamboats...
Trains, people, streets and street fight....
The Era has been recreated magnificently.
Rogue was good as well.
North Atlantic, creaking snow underfoot....
The feeling of fresh frosty air.
Play all games!
In every game there will be something that other games don't have.
.... I still don’t think you’re going to win any support here, especially with photos. If the idea was good enough, it wouldn’t need visual aids to prove the case. Also, if the company doesn’t matter, why don’t you go pitch your idea to another game company? Clearly, you’re getting nowhere here.
I'm not going to win anything here.
I just want to support the one who started this thread.
Sooner or later Russian Empire can be in Assassin's Creed.
Territory is very big, from the Central Asia to northern tundra.
And I try to use visual aids and musical aids......because sometimes one pic can say more than a thousand words.
Time passes.
History makes a new round in the time spiral.
I think soon a new union of countries will appear. Something like improved "USSR", if we may say so.
And......Ukraine will start doing that.
Because they experienced capitalism in its development - imperialism, Russian Imperialism, on their own skin.
It can't be otherwise. That's how it works!
Personalities have nothing to do with it. It was bound to happen sooner or later. And this horror is only the beginning.....
This lesson was passed more than a hundred years ago.
The people had three choices: Petlura - Imperial Russia - Soviet Union.
People were not fools, they have chosen a new union.
And they will start building a new union again.
What countries will join the Union is another question.
I think neighboring countries and Scandinavian. Because social democratic traditions are rather strong there.
In what format Russia will join it..... is one more question (As something one or something divided).
But the new union will flock again.
It's only matter of time!
Matter of several years.
Such Union will have socialistic ground, it will have a solid socialist basis.
In other words it will be something like "Soviet Union" of the 21st century.
And the game with October Revolution will be to the point.
The game will arouse worldwide interest.
But they need to develop the game earlier.
This is the only historic period that may be interesting to the majority.
I don't see any other historic period for Russian Assassin's Creed.
And the game may have tons of music, tons.....
1) Nature, endless fields........
Socialism is only a cynical and pernicious attempt to reassert feudalist hegemony by convincing serfs that they don’t really want to be journeymen, what’s best for them is being looked after by the lords, by working together for the system all boats rise! And that the world is different now, we have technology and medicine and a military to look after them all they have to do is work for the lor… system.
There need not be bloodshed to get there, idiots will sell themselves out, they already try to emulate the atrocities of the GRU on social media, social credit. The real bloodshed will happen at the next peasants revolt. Each time eventually the populace rises up, they don’t always win, but in the end one way or another change occurs and freedoms are won. No-one (but a fool) fights for their own oppression. Which is also why education is a dangerous thing to oppressive states and political regimes and they have a tendency to try and infiltrate and subvert it into indoctrination, and why those who work for the state should be very careful of their actions and what they are asked to do. They fight only for privilege which is not the same thing as freedom; guard dogs have chains, wolves don’t.
There is absolutely no need to do an AC either lionizing or antagonizing Russia right now. The world doesn’t need or want the propaganda. Frankly even posting that here at this time sounds like a shallow attempt.
As a gamer right now what I crave is escapist fantasy. We have enough problems with our smorgasbord of nightmare apocalypse options.
No offence, people.
But the answer to such statements was given more than a hundred years ago.
You seem really enthusiastic about this topic, but maybe you should look realistically at what Ubisoft has already done. They released AC Chronicles: Russia, where the Bolsheviks were basically the bad guys and Trotsky literally betrays he protagonist to the Templars. Also, in AC Syndicate, Karl Marx was featured in Victorian London as a weak-handed organizer who needed a bodyguard and spoke against the use of violence to achieve his socialist agenda. So, it’s just not likely that Ubisoft would entertain a soviet-centric story... unless the protagonist was a Templar who delivered an Apple of Eden to Stalin. That would be possible as a short story in the upcoming AC Infinity... but this pipe dream you’re thinking of just isn’t marketable as a full-blown game for a capitalist company like Ubisoft.
Capitalist or not capitalist company doesn't matter.
People understand it.
And nothing terrible that they depicted communists as something bad before.
People are growing, companies are growing.....we're changing.
The game won't be a propaganda camapign!
Like Assassin's Creed eagle it will soar above.
You'll be able to choose different faction. You'll be responsible for your decision.
All the game will need are facts.
Half of the fact = half of the truth.
Half of the truth = a lie.
Historic facts + our choice and action in historic events.
For instance,
Showing Russian Empire more like this......
.....was so beautiful but evil, bloodthirsty, communists has come and spoiled everything.
It will be a half-fact.
Because next half (much bigger part of that fact) was looking like this.....
In fact, I think this is the only historic time when Russian Empire can be in Assassin's Creed.
All other times won't be interesting for the world wide audience.
This time is the crescendo of Russian history.
It's Climax.
People were suffering so long in that hopeless, dark and enormous Mordor.....
Suffering from slavery, hunger, cold....
That communists has come like a purification fire.
The theme itself, its inconsistency and ambiguity will be a plus for the game.
... I highly doubt the western gaming world would be interested in a Soviet-themed storyline given what’s been going on in the world these days.
Yes, especially because of "what's been going these days"!
History always repeats itself.
Not in a circle but in a spiral.
By the time the game comes out all this will be very relevant.
More relevant than you can imagine.
The game will be to the point.
Unpredictably to the point.
Moreover, it's history.
It's not about possible socialistic revolution in the future. There is nothing to find fault with.
It's history, but forward-looking.
This is the rare opportunity when you can look into the future from the past.
Egypt, Greece, Vikings.......what they can tell about the future?!
But those events can tell a lot.
Because humanity is moving from.... feudalism - capitalism - socialism (first stage of communism)
And it can't be achieved without revolution.
Which means something like that awaits us all.
No matter where do you live.
Somewhere earlier somewhere later, somewhere more bloody somewhere less, rolling back and moving forward again.
It's something that can't be avoided.
This is Development itself.
So "soviet themed storyline", "socialistic revolution" is not about one country. It's about all.
Over the time, this topic will become more and more relevant.
If it was possible to make the game about French Bourgeois Revolution......Why it's not possible to make the game about October Socialistic Revolution?!
It's good to watch your steps but sometimes you should look ahead.
captncrunch360, you have to choose - during WW1 or WW2....
Or WW1 and WW2 as something one, where WW2 is just a continuation of WW1, a little delayed.
After WW1 Russian Empire just kicked the bucket.
Those were harsh times.
Very Harsh.
October Revolution must be an integral part of this game.
These two revolutions, February and October, were direct consequense of WW1.
WW1 - Revolution - Civil War.
Stylistically, colors, spirit of time.......it fits Assassin's Creed.
@phaylens
How do you see the story?
What kind of story can be in your Far Cry Primal 2???
Sequel or prequel?
I'd like the story about Neanderthals.
Meeting, relationship with Neanderthals.
Anyway, first europeans.
When homosapiens came they were met by light-eyed and fair haired Neanderthals.
Who had come to Europe from Africa much earlier.
The time, when the great african desert, on the north of the continent, once again turned green and it was possible to pass.
There were many derogatory myths about them.
They were almost portrayed as half-animals.
The game may debunk all myths.
Moreover, they had bigger brains, in size.
Some scientists claim that they were smarter than people.
There could be an interesting story of relationship.
Even Neanderthal musical instruments can be used.....
@dv20katana
But Just Cause 3 was a good game
Even if Far Cry 6 looks a bit like Just Cause ...... nothing terrible.
The setting favours to that.
New Far Cry setting will favour to something else.
SETTING.
Setting should dictate. Otherwise all Far Cry games will be very similar to each other.
The setting opens new additional opportunities for diversification.
OPPORTUNITIES.
Mainly, Far Cry is associated with the southern setting. Far Cry 1,2,3,6.......Palms, warm seas.
And a bit of moderate climate Far Cry 4,5, Primal.
But in general Far Cry is associated with tropics and sun.
Far Cry 3, its success, staked out that stereotype.
Now, the time has come to break it.
The North must be developed.
Northern setting.
With heavy clouds, snow crunching underfoot, vapor from the breath and ........Cold.
Cold - is the new enemy. Cold kills. Cold shakless movement.
There are only two types of setting - Southern. That was developed in Far cry.
And Northern. That is only ahead.
If you live in the south.......just pray, and go on to enjoy life.
A human being was created to live in the south.
North is another world.
Another philosophy.
Even the northern wolves are bigger and stronger than their southern counterparts.
North is more exaggerated survival and food chain.
North changes people.
Far Cry 3 was a revolutionary game. In terms of mechanics as well.
Far Cry in the North can make the second revolution, with its new mechanics and gameplay.
The setting and its opportunities will simply force developers to do it.
Setting matters.
So, nothing terrible that Far Cry in the Caribbean looks a bit like Just Cause.
Far Cry in the North may look very different.
@ralfferdius
Trial version?
It's cheap.
Don't be afraid, it definitely costs its money.
@ralfferdius
Try this one.....
Keep in mind that the game is old.
Some mechanics may seem not rather convenient, in comparison with present day games.
But the game is Good.
Especially atmosphere.
@hakiyu
If you like Far Cry 5 and New Dawn you will like Far Cry 6 as well.
Don't doubt it.
Just relax and enjoy!
Forget about people's opinion and enjoy.
Take your time, don't be in a hurry!
Don't run through the game........just sowly walk through the game.
From tree to tree, walking through the streets, listening to people, what they're talking about.
Use different vehicles and weapons, change it.
Open the map slowly.
Don't get ahead of yourself on the map.
Do all side quests and missions. Main missions are the last thing to do.
Read all notes. Read everything that was written.
Even in spanish. It makes the game more immersive.
Listen to everything.
Do everything that can be done.
Walk more!
Not run but walk. Like in real life. We're not running all the time.
Immerse yourself!
Only you can do it. You, yourself.
Developers are only helping you.
Ability to immerse and to enjoy is very, very important.
Haste is one of the main enemies here.
You may wander around the settlement for several days......What is your hurry?!!!
Yara itself is an Oscar worth masterpiece.
