Rocket launcher really needs sone 1st person sights. When you play without HUD its stupidly hard to aim with this.
I refuse to one shot heli with sniper rifles and rather try to hit them with rocket instead, but since it does not have sights, it is difficult...
I agree with all your points.
But they want to keep it as arcady as possible.
Players like us are not the target audience unfortunately. I dont think our type is going to spend money on "blue" skins in the store... so they focus on those who will bring them more money...
Most of missions in OM are huge step up compared to original game though, no denial about that.
I really enjoy those sabotage vehicles. That is what I was asking for so long.
My hopes are that they will give us a chance to remove those heavies. Basically they completely broke my playstyle. And adaption to fantasy world mechanic isnt something I want from GR game.
So fingers crossed. Maybe Delta company people could push this request?
I definetly agree that rocket launcher should take the secondary weapon slot and ideally to be disposable one. But it needs to deal some serious damage...
What I mean by that is that it should insta kill any drone and should severly damage stuff like behemoth no matter if you hit it to its "weak flashing square point"
I understand that this is complicated topic. I cant say how it should look like. I have no clue what their engine is capable.
But if I should sumarize my "wish list" then I would need something like this:
- see the map overview with detailed zoom in. Maybe even 3D model (something like planning section of Raven Shield - of course I understand that RS was small map oriented game)
- ability to create mission start (obviously ) with some briefing (dialogs - I dont know what would be possible)
- ability to place enemies where we want
- ability to customize enemies - looks + their loadout
- ability to create patrol path for them so we can prepare some nasty defenses
- ability to select spawn points for reinforcements + how long it takes after the call before they spawn
- ability to create mission goals like destroy things (antenas, vehicles), kill specific targets, capture alive, rescue etc...
All creations would be on Ubi side something like AC Odyssey did with their editor, but it needs to be more advanced to offer more freedom.
Now for potential monetization. I think Ubi could be selling us assets for the editor. Skins, new models, new vehicles etc... Me as older guy. This is something I am willing to sped on if it is done right. Please dont do only "blue / pinky" skins...
I have no idea what is possible so take it just like some old gamer dream...
Regaring Portal and Forge I personally didnt have a chance to try those tools our properly. But BF2042 will be a good game, but maybe after 6-12 month. I dont know how others feel about it. I used those 10 hours of trial and it is a buggy mess. And I consider launching team based game without voice chat at launch as a new meta of trolling from the developer... Or maybe I just dont really understand modern world.
Agree man. Making it a skill would be the best option!
As you say its so situational that making it a consumable item makes no sense.
I used it like 10 times in 200+ hours... and I not using it often because of that need to go to inventory all the time...

I cant help it, but since the announcement of bp I Instantly thought the game would be a great survival looter shooter like tarkov.
The game narrative and setup was perfect. Instead of escaping tarkov you would try to escape fromauroa and uncover the story etc along the way.
I am playing tarkov at the moment and I am felling that single / coop version of it in breakpoint would have been massive hit if done right.
I really enjoy tarkov, but the game with its pvp integration and loosing everything is a bit brutal.
So having the same thing on a scale of auroa... oh boy it would have been absolutely awesome!
The potential of everything! Supported exploration to find parts, meds, food, ammo... gear. Getting some kind of upgradable hideout.
Jeez you guys made a concept if the game extremly similar to tarkov and then decided not to use it at all...
Not to mention that a game like this has massive potential for long term support.
Mtx can be utilized also in a game like this really easy.
The store would have gear etc... but you would not buy them instantly. Buy buying it it would spawn in some place and the player would need to collect it first.
Gunsmith in tarkov is a bit of overkill but I love it
One important thing would be that this type of game would need to be solo or coop only. I would not bother with pvp at all. Tarkov already exists and people would never swap from tarkov to arcade gr...
Pity that it is probably too late to for breakpoint.
Maybe some next TC title?
I am telling you that this would be 50x better than defiant or frontlines combined...
thats the least of their problems...
When AC Syndicate arrived I said that the company is doing a big mistake. I was a fool considered by many...
Origins was decent game but I said that RPG way is a bad way... I was a fool again...
Breakpoint seems to anger more players like me... Odyssey & Valhalla are another non AC lame games without any soul
Far Cry lost its identity with New Dawn and even FC5 was downgrade with mute hero...
WD failed to meet expectations, but it had darker tone and in overall was really good. Then WD hit... better gameplay but lame story and characters (funny characters... ha ha ha...) I didnt even touch Legion, because right from trailers it was forced fun and cool factor in empty and boring game.
Now what are they trying to release? Xdefiant, Frontlines? LOL.
Rainbow Six is dead for years. Siege may be popular among fortnite kids, but the father of hardcore tactical shooter genre is long dead ever since Ubi got the licence and decided to turn it into causal arcade shooter over years.
Today I read article that people are leaving Ubisoft in big waves.
Wonder why is that? I suppose it has nothing to do about my complains since my point of view as a customer who was playing exclusively Ubisoft games had no merit and that I didnt know why I played and loved them.
Next in line is Splinter Cell which wont be true remake, but it will be filled with microtransactions and stuff like that.
Looking on how poorly they did remaster of ACIII, there is 0 expecations on quality for Splinter Cell. It is just a quick cash grab on Nostalgia. Ubisoft is done and dead. They wont ever release a good game unless they fire entire leadership.
This game basically does not have PVP.
Ubisoft is providing always online live service game with pvp so broken that you just can (and 99% of pvp players do) abuse broken mechanics to gain hack like god powers...
Chicken dance to be biggest offender.
Invisible enemies to name a few.
A company that killed its pvp component banning people for enhancing their pve experience because they are worried about broken dead pvp would be even more hillarious.
Who plays with realism mode imho for 99.9% never touches that s show called ghost war
Tried it yesterday and man it is good.
I will give it some more time soon
All I fear now is that Ubi will consider it as cheating and block it.
But it is funny that some mod can fix the game so easily. Ubi simply does not care about more realism at all.
@claytatum then I suggest to play Halo Infinite.
This game is insanly good. It is sci fi yes, but GW is more sci fi than entire Halo saga in terms of Multiplayer.
This is the best team based game I have ever played to be honest. You cant really do well alone thanks to higher TTK.
Dont hold ypur breath about GW.
This is dead game mode. The only pvp future will be frontline and thanks to massive sucess of halo they may rethink this whole BR nonsense and they imho will... classic games mored are more fun than waiting lobby game of BR games...
I enjoyed these missions. But since there is no save option I fully agree that having to do all objectives in one life is a pain in case you are playing exteme no hud immersion version.
If you go rambo you are done in like 3 minutes...
Anyway my BP days are basically done. I dont know when I will or if ever finish OM. Halo is out...
And honestly I think that energy armor would suit BP arcade playstyle a lot and would certainly go in hands nicely with Future Soldier. I just cant help it, but Halo actually feels very realistic in mechanics and gameplay when you take in account its sci fi setting and super solider theme. Once the shield is down Spartan is dead meat.
Breakpoint is supposed to have normal human beings who are more powerful than Master Chief and they dont even need sci fi super advance shiled lol...
