Hello there,
I'm new to the forum and I don't know if there is already a post on this subject
Has the development team already planned a next DLC for Anno 1800 ? (Can't wait for The High Life DLC !!!)
I was wondering if an Asian style DLC was in the works. I would like to see a DLC with a new region largely inspired by Asia that merges Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures (mix of Qing, Edo and Meiji eras). Thus we would have new cultures such as rice, soy, tofu, wasabi, salmon, shrimp, tuna, tea and so on, so much potential. We could also see the opportunity to develop a story around the Qing princess and her family.
This new region would also be more difficult considering the power of these nations at the time, we could also imagine many pirates in junks. In fact, one can very well imagine that the region would only be available to a certain tier such as engineers or investors. Beyond food, Asia is full of culture and crafts: porcelain, prints, clothes, temple, deities, medicine, science etc. It would be great to have buildings with various Asian architectural styles! The same goes for the landscapes, from rice fields to long rivers, sacred forests and snowy mountains...
Of course, all this would serve the old world restaurants, cafes, shopping malls and hotels (and why not bring tourists to Asia? It's an idea ...)
I hope that one day the developers will work on such a huge project and let their imagination lead them to wonderful ideas !
