I have been playing AC Odyssey for several weeks and have reached level 48. Apparently all enemies also are raised to the same level as the player, meaning that it is almost impossible to succeed in a fight, especislly brcause attacking a single enemy instantly produces a large group of similarly empowered additional enemies. Naturally this means that it is almost impossible to succeed in any conflict. In the few instances II have managed to defeat another mercenary, they will reappear elsewhere and with increased power. Also, there have been no improved weapons findable anywhere. If a weapon is part of a loot, it is invariably lower power than anything I already have. Only by upgrading by a blacksmith can I improve weapons, and I still have the same weapons as I started with but upgraded.These are just some of the frustrating features of this game. Does anyone have any advice regarding making some progress in this game? Or should I just toss it in the trash?

@ubi-karl Yes I have confirmed mercenary kills. The one called Rose -something I heve killed five times and she still shows up.

Defeated mercenaries keep reappearing in ac Odyssey? Why? How to deal with this. Thanks
