What sucks is I personally am not even trying to be rude or pushy about all this, but as you say every patch is like the hydra, fix maybe one thing two take it’s place, and then that just throws the team everywhere on what problems they have to fix as more grow, many with new content, and so you can’t even really say “oh i’ll give it a few patches and things should be good” because things then that have been fine since launch will suddenly break or something.
I’m truly sorry to the support team if my frustration gets the better in my posts at times but as many say it’s beyond like getting mad it’s just making us sad i guess to always have to be pushing the game off for some reason or another. It’s also upsetting though and my heart goes out to all of those affected by it, but if the ubisoft abuse allegations are also leading to this rough post launch then that’s just not acceptable from those higher up or causing the abuse, and you can even use my comments to said people if need be.
Everyone likes to make fun of cyberpunk but i watch my brother play that and maybe it really is holding off on any new content to focus on patches, he tells me every time it’s more and more fixed, so may i recommend the same for valhalla? Release paris since it’s so close but after that, maybe that odin stuff can wait in place of fixing the base game, and most likely paris and ireland as well?
I don’t know about everyone but for me personally assassins creed has always been like my truest gaming love, and i know it’s probably upsetting for the hardworking devs too to see their passion in this state, but if valhalla wants any chance at a successful year 2 for the game, year 1 should be taken care of first.

It seems to be something done intentionally by Ubisoft to stop crashes on older hardware for Ostara, and I guess this is what they meant by “settlement decorations will be temporarily removed.” Kind of weird but they’ll probably fix this fairly soon, just wanted to let you all know.
@ubi-milky
I’m curious of this as well, since I’m still in need of the adrestia shields and I assume the ubisoft connect version has them (at least in the picture). How are the people who got the ship through the means of the limited challenges going to get the shields? Will there be another challenge for them, or instead of granting us units can’t you unlock it for those who again already had it? I never bought the jackdaw through connect but because I got it through challenges it one day just unlocked on connect too (I assume again a fix from you guys), so can a similar situation happen here??
Otherwise if absolutely not, can we players who ask get 60 units to unlock it for the shields?
TL;DR — If you have the perpetual rain bug, go back to the Myth in the Mountains pict body and drop it off to the camp men, you should get dialogue and a fix for this
So I wanted to do some testing with this fix myself to maybe give hope to those with this bug and want some sort of proof that this will work for them, and I have some positive findings to report for those still wary of the fix/haven’t seen or tried this out yet. I tested in 3 different scenarios returning the picts body to remove the forever rain bug and in all scenarios the perpetual rain was removed and everything was back as it should be (loading dynamically mostly sunny but sometimes rain). Sorry in advance for the length.
The first scenario was in the common situation most on this thread are in — they probably completed the mystery whether they forsure know or not, and left the body as the mystery said it was completed, and now have forever rain for no reason. I did the fight left the body and then did some reda quests to be able to make some quick saves well after the mystery was completed and the first bit of rain stopped. Now as usual, across three saves and a half hour of progress (no rain during this), all three saves had perpetual rain load after load as everyone describes. So I then did what @auridulis did, went back sure enough the body was there (head put back on and all lol) and dropped it off to the camp dudes, they thanked eivor and said the spirit could rest now, as soon as I drop the body the game saves and then the snow stops. I make a couple quick saves after this point and they appear to all be fixed with no perpetual rain, even tested back and forth from the “bugged” saves to the “fixed” ones, sure enough forever rain in the former no more in the latter
The second time I fought, fast traveled to ravensthorpe to make sure it was still raining after the fight (also made a quick save here) and then fast traveled back to the body (longboat) dropped it off at camp, same exchange, and then save no more rain. I made another save to test back and forth between the ravensthorpe one and as above, the “bugged” save forever loads on rain, and the new “fixed” one has no more rain (except randomly dynamically).
The third time was just straight completing as the developer probably intended, fought the pict and immediately dropped him off, exchange, and save snow stops. From that sort of “perfect” save play through i made a couple more quick saves and not one of them ever had the perpetual rain bug, yet forsure competed the mystery
So it’s forsure the mystery that first causes the storm conditions, and forsure dropping the body off is what truly ends the mystery enough to stop this forever rain atmosphere. Not only did I reload and reload and reload all of these saves (not dropped = rain, dropped = no rain), in the last method i went back to the camp to see if the body was still there and interestingly enough, the pict was where i now dropped him but the other men were now gone from the camp, whereas if I had not yet, they’d stay at the camp, so another indication the mystery is only complete once the body is dropped off to show the men so they acknowledge the “rest” of their friend.
Not sure what this can give the devs but whatever helps And to everyone affected, I highly recommend going back to the picts body to drop it off and see if it’s what fixes it for you as well
So there seems to be an issue with the new tattoo challenge for this week, as it’s not appearing on my challenge feed, nor on anyone else’s that I’ve spoken to. We can see the post for this tattoo and challenge in the news feed, but going into Valhalla’s challenges only shows the random 5 we get every week, no tattoo challenge. Just wanted to make it known so it could be fixed quickly since it seems it’s just a visual/release problem.
So I’ve had this Mōdraniht tattoo bug since the April patch, where every time I would load a game (start menu or in game pause menu) or visit ubisoft connect or collect opal, these 4 tattoos would re-unlock in my inventory, along with the just fixed message of “bonus content unlocked.” Now I never mentioned anything, because I assumed the problems were connected since I always had that message with the tattoos, and thought this too would be fixed with today’s fix for the message, however the tattoo problem still stays.
I know it’s also because of the tattoos being from the godly reward set, and whatever fix the team implemented in April’s patch for those who couldn’t get the reward properly (because there was a problem with that too when it launched) caused this for me and whoever else since then.
Tattoos Unlocking from first load into game:

Actually I don’t think they successfully patched the fabric chests, supplies work for me now but I’m still not getting fabric like others are saying here, and yes on 1.3.0. so even if the devs confirm a fix, I’m confirming we didn’t get it.
@ubi-borealis
Supplies are working for those who still have chests, but fabrics are just straight not dropping.
@ubi-borealis
I’ve seen that fabric was supposed to be fixed in other threads, but if it’s fixed on the devs side of things while not ours, is it likely we could get a hot fix for the should-be fix like the Ireland bed bug hotfix? It would be a real bummer to wait a month for the other half of these chests.
At this point it’s just “Valhalla” to have designed a quest with a potentially conflicting requirement forcing most players at a stalemate.
@ubi-borealis
We’ve seen your explanation as to what/sorta why the dev team did this, but considering this is very time limited, can the team perhaps produce the same sort of hotfix they just did for ireland? I’d say this is as necessary as the ostara crashing bug the team hotfixed last festival, as well as maybe extensions to the festival to ensure this?
@Ubi-LadyBlue While a bummer, thank you for finding out so quickly about the issue I appreciate your help!
@TheNorfolkian I actually think the drop gave us about 50 opals as well, as I had 462 yesterday when ending and 512 today when starting, why this random drop of resources, who knows.
@SpirantCrayon22 Same thing here, 1500 silver and I believe some leather, ore, and titanium added because I definitely did not have 2000 ore before this (upgrading stuff so i had a meager amount before). Maybe a free helix mat pack?
@Ubi-LadyBlue Yea I saw a video mentioning that so I tried that a few times, mixed with some fast traveling to make it more to the middle of the day and they never woke up, even with hitting them awake they just fall back asleep.
@SpirantCrayon22 @Ubi-Mark Yea it’s these guys posted above, all 3 just sleep forever instead of begging, even if you knock them awake they just go back to sleep. Was this found to be unintended?
@SpirantCrayon22
Fasho, it wasn’t so much the silver glitch I was looking for (have plenty of silver and 2 Magyar Bows for rune glitches) but I was wondering if I’m out of luck in grabbing the chained fury rune. Do you know if it’s possible to still acquire through other means like shops or elites? Thanks for the response!
Is there something wrong with the London Beggars? I never got around to them when the silver glitch was at its peak, but just trying to get that chained fury rune now, they’re all asleep and won’t wake up for the donation. I heard that there was a specific patch that did this but is this a bug or intentional?
@SpirantCrayon22
@Ubi-Mark There wasn’t any dev with even one of these items? Only because this doesn’t seem like a case by case issue, even Jorraptor has these problems mentioning them very recently since they weren’t fixed. Again if they looked at all of these settlement items, I’m sure one of your devs has what we’re looking at ourselves.
Likely hood is this is a legacy product (AC Unity) that ubisoft aren't willing put in the money to resolve.
This is my feel as well, as like you said, your first thought would be to check the application, it would seem that the changing of Club to Connect is what messed things up. Why they couldn’t have made at least any progress in months of people posting of this just really elevates the frustration of the problem.
@Ubi-LadyBlue
I believe the bug still happens for Vinland, as my brother was playing and when he returned there (had already finished the arc) he received a pop up for one of the excalibur tablets (forgot which one) but it was the one he had acquired before going to Vinland.
