I join a lot of players' groups. The amount of players I have seen with heartbreaker sets that believe they are unkillable is staggering! I just joined one and the guy died 4 times!! These gimps steam in thinking that the extra armor, a shield, and a kingbreaker is all they need to clean the map at any level. It is ridiculously naïve thinking.
A little common sense goes a long way but why do so many lack it? If you die two times taking one control point then something is wrong with your style of gameplay. If you die four times you are the very definition of stupidity: trying the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.
I use a heartbreaker but I do try and survive as much as possible, so not a runner-and-gunner. I rarely expire with that set...as a result, I do try to not use it unless I know it is going to help the group with a difficult target or goal.
When joining a group there seems to be no way to determine the group quality or what world difficulty the group has been formed in.
I have no problems as a 40-level 2200+ SHD character joining a sub-30 group if it helps the sub-30s do a mission faster or some other task but I DO find it annoying when I join a group to find that all the players are level 40 and SHD 300+, 1000+, or even 2000+ and they are STILL playing on normal or hard. It is a waste of my time to even bother as the loot collected will be inferior, the XP gained will be minimal, and the resources gathered will be less.
If these pansies want to run about kicking fidos that is their choice but if there was a way to see what the group was about before accepting a join it would be very helpful to the joiner. ESPECIALLY as the joiners world resets when they leave a group - control points default to world settings and no convoys, or hostage, etc. If a player declines to join a crappy group their own session is not reset as a result.
Hitting opposite polarity to the 'required' one deals almost no damage at all. On hard you can put 150-200 rounds in a red npc before it drops. With the correct polarity much easier.
In the open world not much of a problem, although annoying. However, even on hard it renders missions nigh on impossible. Boss mobs and elite npcs descending on you and all you can do is die. Waiting for the polarity to change is just not practical but, as stated, no damage results in death anyway.
@hpoonis2010 and again....crash crash crash
Something is definitely broken. I have far more patience with the bugged software thanb I do with what you laughingly call 'support'.
Yes, I verified the files. The first time I tried running today I get "division2.exe is not a valid file" so I verified. Directx re-installed (for some reason), as did the [censored] easyanticheat garbage.
This kind of thing did NOT happen with update15 but most certainly with some other update after that.
@hpoonis2010 It is clear where the priorities lie...sending "infraction" messages rather than deal with the issues.
And WHY would you even hand out 'infractions'? Your games are RIDDLED with expletives...do you give a toss if you upset the buyers? Oh! the software is only for adults? Then surely the relative FORUMS should also be for adults. Grow up and stop being such soft-skinned flakes of whatever.
Since you decided to update update15 I rarely get deltas but the game hangs at least once every session and I have to kill it.
In a mission this is a chore!!!
AND THE 2-FACTOR>>>>>>THE THING NEVER REMEMBERS AND I HAVE TO VERIFY EVERY TIME! For all that is good, get rid of it!
PS. if you ask for tags you get everything! Stop being LAZY and do some work!!!
'Pointman' vs Armadillo Vest
I had been wearing the Pointman vest but expertise levelled up Armadillo, it did also level up Pointman so I am not bothered by it.
I collected another Pointman and under expertise it appears under the Armadillo heading as Pointman. There is no specific Pointman expertise heading.
All the Armadillo vests I have collected are called Armadillo and I don't believe they had a yellow name

@hpoonis2010 It really is disheartening. They are everywhere, almost every control point they are somewhere; many other tasks/encounters they appear. Which means, regardless of whoever fires on them, if I am already engaged in taking a point, I become their target also.
What on earth is the point of taking their strongholds if it makes no difference to their presence?
I f**king hate bank crust: their wardogs; their air-bursts; their fr*kkin tango this, tango that, takes two to tango.
I post this here as it is a question I would care for an answer to from those who made the software. I have made mention of friendly NPCs always going out of their way to get in the player's way in re. shooting enemies. It happens ALL THE TIME and it is definitely a 'feature' of the design and actions of the allied NPCs. I have seen them run into flames and explosions as it was the only option to block my line of fire.
However, it is also programmed into the actions for the fixer drone. If the player has the fixer drone active, and is firing up at an enemy or firing down at one, it is guaranteed that the fixer drone will also be in the line of fire. This is FAR FROM HELPFUL!
Would it at all possible to either:
a. get a definite answer from those who made this terrible action possible that this is what they intended from the outset?
b. get information as to whether or not they can fix it so the fixer is always at the back of the player (behind) and thus not getting in the way?
If you move this post it will never be seen, or replied to by anyone who has an idea of either the designed drone actions, or the code behind it's behaviour. ..as we know that ubi staff do not get involved in the game 'discussions'.
@Ubi-Milky The server was supposaed to be right in front me. I could not walk forward as there was something in the way, something missing. I did not need to seacrh anywhere as the marker for the server was RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF THE CHARACTER! Thus, you need no video.
Is it my imagination or are the tusk absolutely everywhere? Despite me removing their presence the day they hit the map (yet again), they are just firkin everywhere...more so than usual. I see nothing different between having the strongholds and finishing them, other than no aerial recon and no resource convoys. This was not the case a week ago.
How I wish they would just bugger off once in a while.
@SuspiciousPixel I have 291% headshot with chainkiller chest (I was using Pristine Example) and I still prefer the M700.
The +45% scope even without zoom gives better clarity than the mantis scope. If you are at a good spot from spawn points, shooting weak points on the right enemy will help clear 2-4 extras without worrying about headshots. I have no problem with clearing control points soloing but in group play, at night or in sh!tty weather, I switch to the mantis but it just seems like hard work to head hit anything.
I have tried a bunch of rifles to get the proficiency up and, frankly, most of them do appear to hit harder, and some even pop out 60 rounds per minute (Adrestia/SR1/Designated).
Not a fan of Nemesis. It takes too long to get the shot powered up.
My sharpshooter build all items fully optimised:
M700 Tactical 1.1M damage, 12-rounds and expertised to 15
Secondary is a Vector SBR 45 upgraded to 11.
Mask - Punch Drunk (20% headshot damage) - headshot mod.
Airaldi pack - companion talent. crit damage, headshot damage, headshot mod.
Airaldi Pristine example chest - (perfect focus) - headshot damage, crit chance, headshot mod.
Both these two give the 10% marksman and 15% headshot.
Contractor gloves - crit camage
Providence holster (10% headshot) - crit chance, headshot damage.
Fox's kneepads - crit chance
44% crit chance
74% crit damage
300.8% headshot damage
but now it has been mentioned I am going to try out the chainkiller and maybe swap out the gloves for another Airaldi to keep the headshot % up.
As far as sharpshooters go, this seems pitifully underpowered. I have it fully optimised and expertised to14 but it just doesn't seem to punch like some others.
Or... it really needs a zoom-able scope- not sure what level it is supposed to be but probably only x8.
Despite the funky targetting it never seems as though enemies are being damaged and it just seems disappointing. Thus, I make more use of the M700 Tactical and only drag Mantis out when the visibility is extremely bad.
