Firstly, AC:V combat is the best in the series in terms of animations and combat interactions. Thumbs up for you guys at Ubisoft. I believe you nailed it.
Secondly, I play most of my combat without target lock cause I am on PC.
Now the issue I noticed:
In Valhalla it seems that the target is selected by where Eivor is currently facing.
In Odyssey the target was chosen based on where the player is looking (where camera midpoint is facing).
Also in Odyssey you had a golden reticle on the current targeted enemy so you would know where Kassandra/Alexios would try to hit next.
Now, for me the Valhalla System is a downgrade cause you might have 2 entities in front of Eivor. One a box and the other an enemy.
So you would think that Eivor would target the Enemy but it may go for the box.
Until I understood that I have to account for the direction where Eivor is looking and if there are breakables around him/her it was very frustrating.
To this day I still have trouble sometimes and it makes me rant at Eivor. "Is really a pot the priority Eivor? Really? Now? Against ALL the guys, you aim for the box, really ?"
Do you guys get frustrated cause of this too?
PS:Thank you developers of the game for the awesome combat variation and punch. This is where Valhalla really shines, combat!
@aorus2017 Did the verify files too but not fixed for me/
I think this problem may have been pointed out before.
It's been since the beginning that the in-game music is too quiet even if the slider is 100%
For me, if I put the music to 100% I want it to blow my ears off and not be able to hear any SFX.
It's an understatement that the game music is awesome.
So it would be tremendous if you would also have the option to always have some music playing. Like: music frequency - always.
I imagine there is a dynamic system of how the music plays.
Also, do make sure that you get a better music range distribution.
I know that some songs are reserved for some sequences only, but that is too rare in my point of view.
Let's take the example of the combat music:
When you enter combat the dice rolls with the following chances:
Fury of the Northmen - 30%
Raids of Rage - 30%
The Swarming - 20%
Fulke's Destiny - 10%
Leofirth’s Honor - 10%
These chances being tweaked on different conditions also. Cause I imagine the Wrath of Druids DLC music only plays in the DLC area.
(I would make it available in the rest of the game after playing the DLC)
In the end, I want varied music as often as possible.
The only moment of silence would be 5 seconds after finishing a combat encounter,
to give some time before transitioning to ambient music.
Do note that this is feedback after playing the main story line once, the first two dreams, but no DLC.
I will get to the DLCs soon, but I don't think I will suddenly start getting the music more often.
PS: I sometimes play the music in my browser, cause the game is too silent.
I don't want to do that, Ubisoft, cause I am not able to switch it dynamically when entering combat, or a new area.
You gamers out there feel the same?

@ubi-orion
It's a cool system. I call my horse while running towards where I want to go and Eivor gets swept and you giddy away happily.
There is a case that drives me nuts though:
IF Eivor doesn't jump on the horse, then you just keep chasing him as he is very close in front of you but you can't mount it from behind.
It breaks the flow for me and god forbid how many swears I gave to that horse cause of this.
All in all, the horse is better with the recent updates as it was way worse before.
Especially when the game took away camera control from you and you used to stare at the ground while running. (Most of the time I call my horse while running away on foot)
PS: I would love if the devs would treat horse riding with more racing mechanics in mind.
@ubi-milky I can confirm that verifying or reinstalling the game won't solve the problem.
The buildings just won't spawn, the quest are there, and some egg baskets are floating, cause I think they would be on top of buildings.
I have played the previous Ostara Festival also.
If anyone encounters this do not try to start the archery challenge as you will get stuck. The targets won't appear and you will not be able to move.
I play on PC.
PS: I will go back to main quests and exploring for now.

@ubi-milky For me the Ostara Festival Cinematic has been triggered after I fast-traveled to Ravensthorpe.
Since then I tried to load another save and came on horse from Ragnarsson Lookout. Same thing.
The quest triggers but the buildings are missing.
@blastermaster73
I don't know how that would work but,
seing that there is support for Hybrid Input in other games
and most of the big Ubi titles,
I don't bother with other third party programs.
Do you think it would be worth the bother?
Hi,
I would love if they could make the game support Hybrid Input.
I use a Razer Tartarus Pro and I would love to use my WASD as the left thumb-stick
(so I can walk slow or fast)
Right now I can map like I want but the game will not let me do keyboard actions while I move.
Do you guys want that?
PS: Hybrid Input is present in other Ubisoft Titles
