Ubisoft idk if ur gonna read this or not this is just a suggestion but could u release an update where paris gates are open for eivor to explore after the dlc is beaten, maybee remove those iron spikes off of the walls, and with this update also make it so we can explore charles palace post siege, it was such a pretty building i would like to be able to explore the intirior some more when its not burning.
@b00msie True, theres no collectables because they only intended it for just one mission.... Its super annoying im a big history nerd and all i wanted to do was walk around the intirior of paris and the palace courtyard and the palace itself and the sewers... maybee a tavern or two the church, and this being an ac game they should have added a sync point at the palace
@garbo3 you can just power through the rebel missions to get your gear
I was thinking during my playthrough, after i beat the game and fully upgraded ravensthorpe how cool it would be if u could further upgrade your settlement for each of the upcoming expansion packs. things like cobblestone roads in and around your settlement instead of the dirt roads as a cosmetic option, or as a reward for a later expansion. or something like valkas hutt getting an upgrade to look like her old temple in norway. But these have to be realistic ideas too, like in the vikings show when lagatha kills azlaug and becomes ruler of kattagat she orders the contruction of fortifications, I actually half expected to see this as one of the buildings is being used to fortify your settlement however u dont really see any palisade defenses or anything of the sort built which i think would be a nice addition, however would probably hinder the possibility of futher settlement expansions, (wich i would be fine with) hopefully as something that would be unlocked after wrath of the druids as trading with dublin would make ravensthorpe richer and richer over time. After seige of paris i expect to have mounds of treasure (just for cosmetic purposes) inside my longhouse to show my progress through THAT story, because u see that early on in the vikings tv show as well...
@nimarus84 If you are looking for the classic assassins creed experience u might just go back and play one of the old ones because THIS IS ANOTHER RPG.
I for one like RPGs so these new games odyssey origins valhalla really doesnt bother me.
Playing through the actual game, questing, upgrading gear, building your settlement and killing the templars, ("Order of the Ancients" in this game) feels really satisfying. It does not feel grindy at all....... unless u want to 100% the game without online help but that doesn't count.
The story is engaging it might feel a little tiny bit slow about 75% through but immediately picks back up and is engaging again.... at least up to the point when u actually beat the games main story, then you will be saying to yourself "Now what!?"
End Game Content is really what this game is lacking. You will see videos on youtube explaining what odyssey did better than valhalla and let me save u the 15-30 minutes and tell u. Valhalla doesnt have the bounty system, or the endless mercanaries, ZEALOTS ARE NOT ENDLESS u can kill every single one of them, i think theres like 20 if im remebering correctly, or the conquest battles, or the turf wars (sparta/athens controlling a territory), u cannot kill civillians even tho u r a viking warrior.
Honestly i dont think it would break the game if ubisoft brought all of those features into valhalla, hell it might even improve the game.
Overall its a good game, its not so much whats in the game that sucks its whats NOT in the game that sucks, features from previous titles was pruned for no reason at all, endgame is boring atm, TBH id wait a year from now before even bothering to play it, u might even have a better gaming experience than i did when i first started playing, which makes me a bit jealous.
@afewscarsmore im glad to see im not the only one that feels this way. Id love to see repeatable sieges implemented in the game but what i would also like to see in addition to sieges is the reindroduction of nation battles. you would either join alfred (templar arc) or fight against him (assassins arc) but seeing as this would be end game content you would choose which side to fight for any time u want as many times as u want.
Ubisoft did mention they are adding a game mode down the line that capitalizes on combat. so i can see them reimplementing nation battles from odyssey into valhalla, knowing them they would have u build an embassy building in your settlement and thats how they would implement it. However theres an ability that i hear alot of fans talk about which would be the shield wall ability, if they do decide to add nation battles they would have to structure it differantly so that you fight in a shield wall and as u go it breaks off into what u see in odyssey, with a boss to fight here and there. I think these should be called shield wall battles rather than nation battles, because for crying out loud your a damn viking serving in the shield wall is how u wage war.
@turbosupragte Im a christian too, But seriously tho ubisoft is contemperary gaming company AND THEYRE FRENCH.....*cough*anywhoo
Yeah i disagree with the part where it said jesus was cleaned of all sin, jesus was sinless from birth until death and resurrection. I get it, but this isnt the only inaccuracy in the viking experience, First off the fur/leather is not accuratly depicted, the main viking weapon of choice was actually the spear NOT the axe as hollywood wants u to believe, according to arabic texts they had perfect physiques but stern faces and were very unhygeniec stating that they didnt wash even after meals. Norway is cold but isnt always cold, some sources believe that norway was going through an unusually warmer period at the time which led to increased agriculture and population increase which is the MAIN reason they migrated to other parts of the world. Saxons used round shields just like the vikings, kiteshields dont exist at this point in history. Im still learning more about the era this is all i can come up with off the top of my head.
@madness3v3 Yeah i was wondering this myself.. However tho i still love great swords, but it be nice to be able to carry a one handed sword too jst like the saxon soldiers. i also would like to see a two handed FLAIL
i play the pc version with an xbox one controller whenever i try to get a rebel mission like when i hover the cursor over the mission and press "A" my game refuses to accept it and its location doesnt show up on my map?? at first i thought this is just simply how the new rebel missions were because whenever i did randomly find a rebel mission which btw wasnt marked on my map i was able to complete said mission, that is until i went on youtube and saw that each mission location appeared on everyone elses map?
@garbo3 idk... i actually didnt mind the looting system in odyssey because i made BANK off of selling the gear. making money was soooo easy in odyssey all u had to do was go on a blood thirsty rampage which would attract mercenarys, fight everybody until the nation power was gone, do the conuest battle so that ur wanted level goes away, then sell everything. luckily the important pieces of gear are unsellable so u dont have to worry about losing good items.
@petek i feel like the devs or someone at ubisoft gets confused when we point out that something is wrong with their gme its almost like they take a glance at negative reviews get offended not even read y people r upset at something and then guess (wrongly mind you) as to what they were even talking about to begin with... makes me wonder if they should fire a bunch of people and hire people based on skill and attentiveness to what the community wants rather than looks e.g. (they look gay or look black or look trans so lets hire them) its just very unprofessional
@archsh3riff u racist white supremist biggot woman hater. IM JK IM JK i totally agree with u the modern stuff is cringe as hell in this series i only play for the historic stuff alone.

@cyczarn hate to break it to u but no. Only way in is durring the siege... for some reason someone at ubisoft thought it be.. idk smart.. or funny or somthing to not let us in the actual city of paris in an expansion called SIEGE OF PARIS. I mean walking in and killing a few guards never hurt anybody. Now if ubisoft would release an update where they opened the front gates AFTER the story missions r done that be awsome... oh and another thing that sucks is that there r two palaces in francia and u dont get to go back inside of them to revisit them for...whatever reason??? i want back in damnit UBISOFT COME ON11

@longjohn119 ubisoft is ruined if they go through with this
@nowayy y werent they in london?
@sakesakesake Yeah ive noticed this too.. this dlc left a bitter taste in my mouth. it really could have been better.
@sileusta the rats thing didnt bother me that much
