@kmarkopl He's not telling you that you can't buy it. So he's not telling you what you can and can't do with your money. He is suggesting that players do not buy the new expansion because tech support has been poor and lots of bugs. They recently introduced worse performance in the latest update on PC for me, the game ran fine mostly, but they introduced more stuttering. The Auto-save stutter is even worse now! I'm not buying more content when things get worse like this, not better, with updates. I haven't even gotten to Siege of Paris yet so I'm not sure about the game breaking bug he's talking about but I wouldn't buy another expansion either if I were having that issue. Also, to the other detractors, people have the right to complain as consumer if their product they bought is not working as intended. I hope when you buy something from a store and it doesn't work correctly and that you return it and go to the store and they say to you "stop complaining".
Re: [Game randomly exists](/topic/80904/game-randomly-exists)
Getting the same message and problems here in this other discussion.
"While you continue to play, we'll restore the connection to a service that just got interrupted. Some things might look a little odd in the client in the meantime."
Then Assassin's Creed Valhalla exits out or doesn't start when trying to restart it as this message appears in the client. Get the failed to synchronize saves message also when the game exits out. Also I'm playing through UPlay+. My internet is perfectly fine. so is this problem with a service in the client causing this issue?
@jimmywon34 I also cannot open Assassin's Creed Odyssey and get the message "this product cannot be activated right now, try again later." Except the difference here is I am not playing that through Uplay+ subscription, I own AC Odyssey. So everything about Uplay seems to be F'd up right now.
Having the same issue with this week's challenges. No challenges are updating to reflect how much the community or I have completed. I'm on PC.
I get a this yellowish tint around Eivor, as seen in the pic, that seems to happen when I equip certain armors, seems like all the armors I've gotten so far as rewards from trading with Azar it shows up on. It does not happen with the Raven clan armor. Is this suppose to happen with certain armors, and if so how do you get rid of it? it's very jarring and ugly and annoying. or is it a bug?
i wish they would've kept what they did in ac odyssey which was enemies are marked by your bird. the bird is less useful now, and the marking of enemies in ac valhalla is very ugly.
I noticed yesterday I was getting this bug too. I'm not sure after which quest it started happening for me though, but it was certainly after installing the 1.3.1 patch. "New Quest" constantly pops up after different actions such as reading scrolls. However, Ubisoft connect hasn't been working for me today and has been down so I'm not sure if it's still happening.
Wrath of Druids is not that great. Other than the scenic views of Ireland's countryside, this DLC doesn't have a lot going for it. When I got to Dublin I felt completely underwhelmed by it, it doesn't feel like a city that's alive, it's main attraction is its market. When I got to Athens in AC Odyssey, it felt a lot more immersive, I felt like I was in Athens, Athens even had the more ritzy parts of the city and the poorer slums of the city. It felt more alive. There are no spectacles going on in Dublin either, no added activities. The Fate of Atlantis was also done better. We got to interact with the Greek Pantheon a lot more. Ciara is really the only interesting character in the DLC and even she's not that interesting. The writing is very sub-par. In Wrath of the Druids, Ciara talks about how she's pagan and preserving the old ways but it feels so shallow. You don't really experience these old ways, you don't learn or interact with any of the pre-Christian Celtic Gods or Goddesses. A couple of them are only mentioned in the folklore in passing. I am about finished with the DLC and it has been a pretty big disappointment, very mediocre. I haven't gotten to Siege of Paris yet but I hope it faired a lot better. The side quests of the DLC are about the same formula as well as the original storyline in England, which for most of those will take you under 5 mins to rescue someone's pet or get rid of a rodent infestation or a boss fight with an old vikingr, which is immersive to have world events like that but in Odyssey we also got better, more fleshed out side quests apart from the main quest. IMO AC Odyssey was done better in many ways. I was excited for the Viking theme of this one more than the ancient Greek theme of AC Odyssey but Odyssey was just done better honestly.
i'm playing on pc and we didn't make it to the "win drinking games 350,000 times" for the last week's community challenge, which means we didn't get the 10 opals. now they're asking for 350,000 again for winning dice games this week for the community challenge and last week we were about 40,000 short on that mark. just seems a bit high, there's probably not a big enough player base to hit these goals all the time, some of the player base is probably not even interested in the opals or doing the challenges and pays no attention to it, or the goal and challenge is tedious to begin with for a portion of the player base, many probably don't want to sit there and play dice games and drinking games over and over and over ?
Before the patch, i encountered a stutter/hitch when it would autosave, this appears to have worsened since the latest update, now the stutter/hitch is more noticeable, lasts for slightly longer, and there are about 2-3 of them just before and during an autosave. I think this is only happening just before and during autosave but not 100% sure, it might be happening outside the scope of an autosave as well. The map is also doing it. Based on my testing it appears to be only a problem with AC Valhalla and not other games on my system. Looks like poor optimization on Ubi's part. It was annoying before the patch and now is even worse.
@alpha8188 same issue for me. the community challenge shows 0 and the challenges that I've attempted to do don't count towards finishing that challenge such as the long sword weekly quest.
Having the same issue with this week's challenges. No challenges are updating to reflect how much the community or I have completed. I'm on PC.
I'm having this problem for this week's challenges too. Nothing is updating.
@ubi-oxavo here are the links to what I am talking about -- https://
I'm getting some graphical glitching, I believe it started with the 1.4.1 update. It's like the fog is broken in some interiors, like the Ravensthorpe main Longhouse and the inside of the tomb where you get Odin's eye are a couple places I've found for sure but there might be more. I would upload a video to show what I'm talking about but it's not letting me, saying I don't have privileges.
For anyone else that had this issue I was able to solve it by going to lincolnshire after restarting the game and accepting the quest from one of Reda's scouts or whatever they're called that also give the opal quests.
As the title says the quest from Reda titled "The Phantom" once clicked on and accepted by me, did not show up on the world map or in the quest log so it could not be completed. The other quest for today's two daily opal quests i was able to complete and did show up but for some reason this one didn't on PC.
